I am amazed!
I have had unccontrolable acne since I was 12, I am now 20. I have bad cystic mixed acne with terrible scarring. I have used for two weeks now manuka +12 organic honey from holland and barret on my face every night from 7-10pm then wash it off with warm water and apple manuka and apple cider vinegar, also from holland and barret, as a toner afterwards. After this I use simple's oil balancing moisturiser and my skin hasnt been clearer.

Pros:

makes skin soft
reduces redness
clears up pimples
shrinks cystic acne (almost totally gone in 2.5 weeks)
cheap and simple
no harsh chemicals or perscriptions

Cons:

sticky

I spent 15 years battling acne, and was depressed from doctors visits and paying for prescriptions that don't work. I can't believe how great the honey mask works- it has changed my life. Here's my drill: I put a warm compress on my face, use 1 tablespoon honey, mixed with 1 tablespoon baking soda and leave it on for 30-50 minutes 1xday. After 2 days of use, zits were no longer red in my problem zones. 1.5 weeks later, cystic acne started disappearing from my jawline. Do it! Best thing ever!

Pros:

Great for all skin types, moisturizes, gets rid of acne so quickly!!!

Cons:

Can be messy

AMAZING. I've suffered through pretty severe acne for years! I have tried SOO many facial cleansers, treatments, etc. You name it, I've tried it! And little did I know a product I've had forever at home could be used SO effectively. Within the first few applications of this mask, I have seen a HUGE difference! DO IT. TRUST ME, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! :)

Pros:

Lightens dark spots due to previous acne. Gives your face that youthful and radiant glow. And leaves it amazingly smooth!

Cons:

Nothing.

The only time I'd get pimples back then was before getting my monthly period. And those pimples were light and they were never cystic. But when I suddenly got an acne nodule on my chin and on my cheeks, I got all worried right away. By the way, my daily and nightly regimen are very simple: Massage Dove's Pink Beauty Bar and then Olay's Active Hydrating Cream in the morning, Olay's Night Firming Cream before going to sleep; it works great on my skin. And this was before my acne nodule breakout. But anyway, I actually never tried any acne products on my face because I know it is highly sensitive. The only creams that touch my face are Olay's creams and Dover's Pink Beauty Bar, as mentioned above, and they work very well for me. So when I heard of honey and its antibacterial properties and all of the good reviews, I decided to give it a try. So my daily and nightly routine now is: I massage Dove's Pink Beauty Bar, wash it off with warm water, gently pat myself dry and put honey straight from the bottle to my face and massage it for a good five minutes. I leave it on for 15-20 minutes, wash it off again, and then apply my cream. I actually did not have any high expectations simply because I didn't want to be disappointed. However, the results after the first use did enlighten me. My dark spots became so much lighter. Though, I don't think honey prevents pimples. I believe it just helps you treat the damage your previous pimples have done. I've been using this for three nights and two days now and I'm quite delighted so far with the results!

Pros:

soften skin, gets rid of pimples, feels and tastes yummy, glowing complexion

Cons:

drips and messes

this stuff is amazing. you could: cover zit with honey apply a bandaid and go to bed use it as a scrub, just add brown sugar (tastes really good) or as a mask by adding cinnamon or nutmeg or both. (doesnt really taste that great with this recipe but works wonderfully) i had a really bad break out and they were slowly disappearing but i had 3 big uglies on one side of my face. i used the honey/nutmeg combination (warmed it up a lil, like 30sec in the microwave) and left it on my face for a couple of hours after work. by morning all three had literally disappeared. honestly the best acne remedy out there. for almost two years i havnt bought any store product for acne. i use home remedies. totally worth it and much cheaper.

This mask is bomb diggity and it won't break the bank
Make sure you're using pure raw honey, the one that looks thick, and mix it with lemon for better results. I apply it on my face 2-3 times a week for about 15-30 minutes, then I wash it off. Also make sure that you're using a good moisturizer afterwards because this mask might dry out your skin and also use a natural face wash. I use organic virgin coconut oil as a moisturizer, oh and it doesn't clog my pores. However, it helps cure with acne. As for face wash, I use Herbalism from Lush. It is a bit pricey but it works wonders.

Try Andalou face wash and toner for acne in the blue bottles and 1000 roses moisturizer for sensitive skin in the pink (I got the jar). They're reasonably inexpensive, natural (without the parabens, formaldehyde, etc.), smell good, and work! You can also buy them in stores and online.

Manuka Honey
Manuka honey works great for reducing the appearance of scars and hyperpigmentation. By itself it's not enough to fight more severe acne, though. I tried it by itself for a month but didn't see a marked reduction in breakouts. It did, however, make my skin extra smooth and visibly reduced the redness and irritation. Now I use it in combination with an oral antibiotic and topical tretinoin cream. I put it on every night before bed for an hour and then gently wash it off with a face towel dabbed in hot water. It works great to soothe my skin after the harsh Retin-A treatment and my skin looks radiant the next morning and the acne scars are less visible. It's definitely a worthwhile add-on to any beauty regimen!

honey mask
i love honey mask! I usually leave it on as long as possible while in the shower. It's helping with flakiness from using retinA and my overall skin texture is improved. I'm finding a little moisturizer goes a lot further now, I usually have to really slather it on but not anymore since using the honey. So far I've only used it straight out of the jar and have been very happy.
