Pros:

I dunno if it really works for acne... but I like it, just the same.

Cons:

None. Love it.

I never had acne in high school. I only began to break out when I turned 20 or so. I've tried everything...Proactive, Murad, Birth Control (Yasmin and Ortho Tri-Cycline lo), Retin-A, antibiotics, and most of the time I took a combination. All controlled it somewhat, but never completely cleared it up. The only thing I haven't tried is Acutane... and I really don't want to deal with my face peeling on a daily basis (although Retin A had the same effect). I have been drinking green tea pretty regularly (around 4 cups a day) for about a year now, and I haven't noticed that it's really helped. I've since stopped Yasmin and it's gotten worse. I've never tried actually applying the tea bag to my face though, but I drink enough of it, might as well give it a shot.

Pros:

It really reduces redness, and helps acne.

Cons:

It takes many cups a day for it to work.

The tea does not remove all acne, but it most definately does help. I drink 2-3 cups a day, everyday.

Pros:

Taste good straight. Unlike coffee, does not cause roller-coaster effect of adrenaline release by caffeine. No bad breath. Cavity-free teeth.

Cons:

Frequent urination. Little difference in skin's oil production. Does not seem to have any effect on acne.

I was born and raised in Japan and probably consumed more green tea than anyone listed here in my life. Since child, everyday I probably drank at least a pint of brewed tea from new crop, decent grade ($10-$20/100g) green tea leaves. Now that living in the states, I get them shipped directly from a farmer.... I don't like drinking cold water or soft drinks so this is the way for me to stay hydrated. But I DO have to battle with my moderate adult acne. Nonetheless, it's probably a lot healthier than drinking coffee. While I was in grad school, I used to drink a shot of espresso and a pot of Earl Grey tea every morning...That did made my skin oily and out of control along with stresses of being in highly competitive environment. I do not believe consuming green tea would cure acne, but cutting down coffee, soft drinks and other sugary drinks might help reduce oil production on your skin.

Pros:

Tastes good, good for flushing body of toxins, helps cure sickness

Cons:

I've been drinking green tea for about a year, and I binge on and off of it for about two months at a time, and then I'll get off of it for maybe a month. Whenever I binge, I experience a large acne flare-up after drinking it for a few weeks.

Delicious and healthy, but not the end-all cure for acne.

Pros:

Tastes great - Lots of Antioxidants/Benefits

Cons:

Doesn't work for any skin benefits?? I was actually shocked to see this, unless maybe you all are using it topically??

I drink at least 2-3 cups of green tea every day and have never had a skipped beat in my acne cycle... Oh how i wish something like this would help :(
