If you drink it without sugar and at least twice a day you will see the effects. It is healthy for you overall and it helped to reduce my acne and made my skin softer and smoother. Bottom Line: TRY IT you have nothing to lose.

Very effective! Works best if you drink 3-6 cups a day!
Worked wonderfully for clearing up my acne. I drink about 3-6 large cups a day. It takes time to clear up, but if you drink a good amount a day plus have a healthy diet and take vitamins you will see an improvement. Don't expect a miracle and to have clear skin within a week. Green tea won't clear it up on it's own but it makes a huge difference. I highly recommend green tea to anyone suffering from mild, moderate, to even severe acne.

Decaffeinated Green Tea Is Available Also
I appreciate all of the previous reviews about green tea for acne! I wanted to let everyone know that there are different brands of decaffeinated green tea available also. "Bigelow" is just one of the companies that makes decaffeinated green tea. You can find this tea at any grocery store. You just have to look for the Bigelow Green Tea box, that has the orange labeled that says decaffeinated on it. I have seen other brands of decaffeinated green tea also. You will need to search each box, for the label that states decaffeinated, otherwise it is assumed to have caffeine in it. When preparing green tea, I honestly just open the tea bag up and dump the contents of green tea in the water to be boiled, so that I drink the herb in it's purest form. 2 large glasses of this per day, boosts my immune system and seems to make my pimples less inflamed, as green tea is an anti-inflammatory herb. As a woman in my thirties, I get worse acne depending on the change of my cycle, so I use a combination of eating a large serving of fresh, steamed broccoli and 2 large glasses of green tea per day to help regulate my hormones for clearer skin also. Hope this helps everyone!

Great Results !
When i heard about the benefits of green tea for acne, I started drinking 2 cups of green tea (organic) daily with lemon and honey and I saw great results. I stopped having breakouts anymore and my acne has become better now. My acne scars has lighten up and now there are very few pimples left. I'll continue to drink it and hope my acne gets totally cured soon. You will not see the results immediately it will take some weeks, so be patient ! :) Best of luck :D

Pros:

- Cheap
- Very healthy, not just for your skin
- Reduces redness
- Reduces pain from cystic acne

Cons:

- Bad taste

I've been drinking this stuff for 2 days and I already see a noticeably improvement in my skin. My cystic acne spots have dried up and my face looks less red after just 2 days. I definately recommend this product as I think cystic acne has more to do with diet than hormones, I no longer get whiteheads that used to plague me. I recently did a complete diet overhall and have cut out dairy and caffeine completely. After 2 days I see improvements already.

I drink one BIG cup of Bigelows green tea without anything in it every day. It cleanses the body from inside and out and my face feels more "clean" from impurities than before.

Pros:

-Good for you
-Actually does clear your skin
-Tasty
-Great to fade acne scars

I love drinking green tea when I'm doing my homework or just on the computer. I'm 15 and have light/moderate acne and this stuff works. Usually after I drink it I rub the wet bag all over my face and it feels nice and tight later. I recommend this.

Pros:

Natural & pharmaceutical-free; effective; economical; soothing, softening & toning; good source of antioxidants (Olive Leaf Extract is higher, though - & also good for/on skin). Much fewer blind pimples; skin heals faster; less redness & scarring.

Cons:

Watch out for stains - clean up any drips & spills promptly (& not with white towels, either!). Don't drink too much too late in the day.

I had mild-moderate adult acne for over 12 years from my late 20's (I think initially from the Pill). Being careful with diet really helps - for me SUGAR (even too much fruit - took a long while to realise my skin was always worse during summer, when I ate heaps of seasonal fruit), cow DAIRY & gluten are worst offenders. And green tea certainly makes a difference. Only needed to drink 1-3 cups per day of freshly-brewed, preferably organic, Green or White tea (use hot, filtered water, but not boiling, as this scalds the tea; steep 5 minutes & drink within 20 minutes to get most anti-oxidant benefit); & definitely use same as leave-on toner after cleansing. Latter is easier if using tea-bags, but ritual of making a pot with loose leaves is nice; just use as fresh as possible (though I guess keeping used bags/dregs in fridge would help preserve the active components). Also found papaya enzyme masks & Emu Oil as moisturiser helpful. Thanks for sharing your stories; hope mine helps you.
