Lifesaver
I never post reviews on anything but feel like I should with this. I had a sudden acne outbreak when I got to 26, all over my cheeks and jaw. I was prescribed Duac and Doxycycline. Duac helped a little, but made my face super dry and itchy, doxycycline maybe helped a little, but then I read reviews about cetaphil on here. It has honestly helped so so much. I've never had perfect skin, and still haven't but cetaphil has cleared up my acne loads. I don't get spots like I did before, just a few red bumps maybe (which I used to get anyway), so I just pop sudocrem on and that does the trick. It has reduced the redness massively. I was at the point where I wanted to cancel my holiday because I didn't want to have to wear make up everyday to cover my skin (which I knew would make it worse still, but didn't want people to see my skin). I've also used Aztec clay healing mask mixed a couple of times a week with apple cider vinegar which seems to reduce the redness loads too. And people saying it doesn't clean your skin, I use this to remove all of my makeup, and it literally removes all traces of it...

I use this once a day in the mornings and have used this for years. Never dries out my skin and leaves my skin feeling fresh.

Pros:

Clear gel; pump bottle with lock for travel.

Cons:

Not good to remove makeup. I use HSN's Signature Club A Meltdown for that. It's the best.

Reccommended by my dermatolgist for after laser and every day for rosacea.

Pros:

Gentle, leaves my skin feeling clean and soft.

Cons:

None!

Check this out you guys!!! I found a walgreens version with EXACTLY the same ingredients as the cetaphil product, $5.99 but buy one get one free right now at walgreens. The lotion is also BOGO and $4.99 I think it was. I have been using these products in conjunction with a 2% BP gel by clean and clear (which I also got at walgreens) .75 oz for $4.99. This stuff is GREAT! No stinging or discomfort at all. It has aloe and chamomile in it so its super gentle on your skin and works awesome. I have been using this regimen for only 4 days and already my skin looks clearer, scars and red marks are going away, pimples that had started before treatment are getting smaller with every treatment. And this is RIGHT after my monthly cycle (I usually have the WORST breakouts right now.) NO new pimples have showed up at all. Price shown below is all the products totaled up. I bought one extra BP tube so I could have one set at home and one set at my boyfriends house, so this price is for one se

Pros:

Light consitency, extremely gentle, effectively removes dirt and oil, does not leave skin dry, great for skin prone to acne.

Cons:

A possible allergic reaction, otherwise none.

I am amazed by this product! I have tried many cleansers that claim to be "for sensitive skin" or "non-drying," but I consistantly found their claims were not in fact true. I have very sensitive skin and bad acne in some areas, so I needed a cleanser that could gently remove dirt, makeup, and oil, yet not take moisture out of my skin or cause breakouts. I've found one! Cetaphil works wonders on my skin. Just as a warning, however, I have heard some people react to it with a rash, so be sure to check the ingredients for substances you are allergic to. Also, in terms of price, I see most people rated it as a 5, but I'm putting 4, because there ARE cheaper cleansers. If affordability means if it's worth it's price, I would definitely put a 5, though!
