Pros:

Used with water, cleans extremely well without making your skin dry afterwards. Balances moisture content. Makes skin feel soft. Affordable. Doesn't irritate present acne. Preventive to new acne formation since its very mild.

Cons:

Needs a little getting used to (if you're used to lather). Need to use a lot for cleansing to be effective. Otherwise, dries out fast when cleansing.

You won't feel squeaky clean, but your skin will feel very soft and supple. All the dirt and oil gone- but you're spared the oil overdrive (esp. on the nose!) afterwards as this cleanser doesn't strip your natural oils, rather it moisturizes. So surprisingly, it controlled oiliness on my combination skin quite well in comparison to most 'oil-control' cleansers which seemed to aggravate the problem. Used for 6 months along with the regimen. Indispensable. Best cleanser I ever used.

Pros:

Pump bottle which locks, removes oil. dirt and helps with acne. I LOVE IT

Cons:

NONE

i love i use in the morning and night because i have oily oily face and it completely feels sooo much lighter just after i use it! i love this product! i will stick to this product. I have been using it for about two months it does get a little oily in afternoon even though i use it the morning but that as much as it would without using the cleanser so i love it. and i definitely recommend it.

Pros:

Very gental, helped clear my skin in a matter of a week or so. Large containers can be found at almost any drug/retail store including Costco and it's inexpensive.

Cons:

none

After using Proactive for years, I switched to Cetaphil. After about 2 weeks of use, I threw out my Proactive. I have used Cetaphil for over a year. It has saved me hundreds of dollars and my skin has never been better.

Pros:

Cheap, gentle, works well. Keeps my face clear but also believe it has helped prevent wrinkles.

Cons:

I would prefer a lather but once I got used to it I was fine.

After fighting acne for 25 years I have tried it all. Every dermatologist I have ever seen recommends this product and every time I try something new I end up coming back to this. My face is clearer, my wallet is happier, and even though I am in my late 30's I don't have any wrinkles. It's hard to beat. I did try the oily skin version but found this one kept my skin clearer.

Pros:

Very gentle on the skin; never leaves my skin feeling dried out; I love the pump bottle.

Cons:

Have to wash my face twice each time when I'm wearing makeup because it won't remove it after just the first pump. Also I need to follow up with a toner after just to make sure I get all the makeup and dead skin cells off.

I would recommend this cleanser to anyone who has problems with feeling super dried out after washing their skin. I've tried many different kinds of cleansers, this one is my favorite. Best to follow it up with Cetaphil moisturizer as well.

Pros:

Everything.

Cons:

None at all.

Keeps my skin balanced and under control. I ALWAYS come running back to this cleanser anytime I try something else. I have dry, acne prone skin, and this is the only thing that works for me. Thanks Cetaphil!

Pros:

my skin really does feel cleansed! good job cetaphil

Cons:

ive only used it for a few days so i cant really say anything bad. all i can say is that my face not only is starting to look clearer but feels clearer and cleaner! i wasnt too crazy about the way the bottle looked u need a new design lol.

after reading all of the reviews on this product i am going to continue to use the whole bottle ive only used it for about 2 days and it feels good. at first it felt i was puting hand wash on my face and i wasnt sure it would work but my skin actually does feel clean. i was dying to try proactiv but ive heard very good reviews on it and then very bad reviews on it and it way too expansive mann! are they crazy 40 to 60 dolars a month on skin medication. even it works i dont think it would be the correct thing for me because ive never had bad acne in my life but i have very small whiteheads on my forehead and im going to give cetaphil a try. i believe cetaphil can work and since its such a great cleansing cream they should wild with it and come up with very good acne medications to take proactiv out of business but dont make it too expensive! well anywho i realy like cetaphil i bought it cuz i heard about it from a magazine.

Pros:

Smooth and moisturizes even in washing. It's not harsh on dry and sensitive skin.

Cons:

Packaging can be better but with the affordable price, I can live with that.

I think this is the best cleanser I know of. Believe me, I've tried everything since my skin started acting up since I was 11. Now I am 28. I've started using this product since last year and I will never go back to anything else.

Thankful
I have heard of this product from my dermatologist and friends, but never tried it as I have seldom used skincare products. However, this product was wonderful for my combination skin. It moisturised my skin, but did not strip it of its natural glow.

Too Good Too Be True
I've used this product for 5 years straight. I started with listening to the media and using Neutrogena, don't get me wrong their products are pretty good. but Cetaphil doesn't dry my skin off and it cleans the pores and oils. If removing oil is a problem, try using a scrub before the cleanser
