Pros:

- No harsh chemicals
- Soft
- Can be used with or without water

Cons:

- Does not remove heavy makeup at first wash

I use this product everyday and night as my cleanser. It doesn't contain any chemicals like other cleansers, it simply washes my face clean and makes it feel a lot smoother. Although this product does not deal with acne or pimples directly, it is the best daily clenser to feel fresh and not have irritating stings on clogged or infected areas. My favourite cleansing product.

Pros:

Gentle on sensitive or stressed skin

Cons:

None

This cleanser is obviously not for treating acne or exfoliating. But if you want or need to avoid irritation (e.g., peeling or dryness after using retin-a), this is a very good cleanser.

Pros:

Very gentle!
Very easy to rinse off

Cons:

Doesn't foam
Doesn't remove makeup

I started using Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser about a month ago. I needed something gentle to use with the tretinion cream my doctor had prescribed for me. This cleanser is so nice and gentle! I love it! It doesn't foam at all (in fact, just feels like thick water), but I got used to that very quickly! My biggest con with this is that in order to remove my foundation and all that at night, I have to wipe with a wet wash cloth first, then wash my face twice. Usually during the second wash, I take my facial brush and scrub my face (gently, but firmly :] ) in order to remove the rest of the makeup. Plus the brush exfoliates which is a huge bonus. I love this this cleanser washes away super easily. You just splash your face a couple times and it's all gone. I hope you loves this just as much as I do!

Pros:

Very gentle texture

Skin feel notisably cleaner after rinsing

Pretty cheap for how big the bottle is

Cons:

Not any really

Great product for mild acne users. Cleans skin and makes it soft. Not alot of chemicals and all that junk, so it helps prevent breakouts. Great to use if you are using a benzol peroxide spot treatment, great 1,2 punch!!

Pros:

very, very light
gentle
non-irritating
no fragrance
no SLS; does not foam (which is good because that's strips and dries out skin)
i recently discovered a Canadian store brand (Life brand) that is only $10 per 200ml

Cons:

expensive ($20 per 500ml in canada)
contains alcohol
does not seem to clear acne

I love this product because it is the only cleanser I've tried that does not irritate my skin.. Although the lack of foaming action makes it a tad harder to apply, it does glide on fairly easily. I've noticed it to be the slightest bit drying, but moisturizer takes care of that. The cleanser does wonders for the parts of my face without acne (my acne is all in the t-zone, and on either side of my nose) but does not seem to clear (or worsen) my acne. BOTTOM LINE: This cleanser is not the best for acne, but it does not worsen or aggravate it. In terms of it's performance on the parts of my face without acne, I would give it 5/5 stars.

Pros:

Cleared up my acne! I had moderate acne and proactiv was not working for me. I stopped using proactiv after I was advised to stop on account of the scrub beads in the face wash. I tried cetaphil and it cleared up my skin and made it soft.

Cons:

Doesn't get rid of acne scars.

Using a gentle cleanser has really improved my skin. I also apply micro-treninoin retin-A gel a couple times a week, but I think that the cetaphil really did the trick. Sometimes really harsh products or scrubs can worsen acne. That's why you should experiment and try using cetaphil. I had moderate acne and my skin looked all red and had pustules. It was awful. Now my skin looks incredibly better in just a couple weeks. I also stopped using a moisturizer and just wash my face with cetaphil and then put some cetaphil on my dry face as a moisturizer. It really does work as a moisturizer too without breaking out my skin! Try this.
