Pros:

Pros -Clearer skin no red or spots
-less oil on my shoulders, back and face
-still working and it s been over 6 months
-reduces size of pimple faster.
-It takes time to see the full result it took me 6 months.
-reduces redness and may get rid of all togeather and clear up.
-reduces black heads, white heads and may get rid of all togeather and clear up.

Cons:

Cons -Dry skin depending what shower gel you use
-Takes about 3 to 4 weeks to see improvement
-slight redness at first
-flaking at first you must exfoluate in shower or bath to stop this
-didnt fully clear my skin it takes time
-you need the basics right before the product will work. If you dont get this right you will struggle to get any good results.
-If you have oily back, shoulders and face you will allways have to use this product for life even when you cleared it all 100%

I have been using this duac gel on and of for afew months. It didnt work doing this I found. So I use it every night for the last 2 months and its cleared my shoulders and face 99% now. My back is about 75% to 80% clear now. I have to use it every single night before bed or even after a shower at night time. If I miss 1 night I can have spots or redness starting in places. But if I use it every night I dont have a problem. So simple terms it has to be used regular with out missing it using duac gel. One other thing I use gloves in the shower that exfoluate my skin to scrap of any dry or flakey skin this solves the problem. This is the best gel I have used but for it to work you need the right shower gel not to dry your skin before to much. Also exfoluate your skin when having a shower. If you have redness cover the hole skin and spots and if you have any big spots put a small blob of duac gel over the spot and leave it there. The next morning it clears up far faster 50% faster with bigger spots this way. My skin is oily on my back, shoulders and face so the gel stops me producing to much natural oils. But the same time not stopping it all togeather because it will age all your skin and the way you look. Not to be used in 2 times a day its to much and damage your skin. I rate this 4 stars cause I havn't finnshed yet or seen it clear up fully yet. But so far so good my girl friend can see a big diffrence now. I also get mine of the doctor due to my condition. But I know it costs abit to buy but it would be worth it. You have to get things right for it to work otherwise you never fix the problem. I will come back and rate Duac gel again after the new year then it will be 6 months. Then give anther review to show how 2 months went to 6 months. I will keep you up to date with the progress. So far so good so I cant complain. UPDATE The 6 months have now been and all redness and spots on my back, face and shoulders have all cleared up

miracle gel. Don't give up.!
Here's just a review of what I went through. Sorry it's long but all I will say is don't stop using it. Your face will adjust to the dryness and when it does you will look amazing with clear skin. Day 1. No horrible side effects. My skin was feeling slightly tight after application. Reduced a massive spot overnight which was surprising. Which was gone by day 2. Day 4. Dried out the skin. This was when my dry skin was beginning to get noticeable. Moisturiser helps but can feel tight. I used Simple moisturising rich face cream. Be careful with make up as my skin was really flaky and foundation looked awful. Consider a BB cream with moisturiser for slight coverage as its hydrating and won't look cakey. I usually wear NARS foundation and cannot wear it at the moment. A few new breakouts but I feel that this is going to be the last of it hopefully. Nothing to bad. My skin actually feels like it's getting better. Day 9. My skin is slightly dry with foundation but my face is kinda getting adjusted to the Duac. Nose is the worst. Really flaky. There's a massive spot near my nose that's still here after 4 days. Ive got a scar on my face and that still here after 9 days of use. I read duac mind help with acne scars to still hoping. My face needs moisturising during day to stay hydrated. Skin feels tight after lunch even though I moisturise in the morning so carry a moisturiser around. Day 11. Skin adjusting to Duac. Breakouts not forming a head. Cysts stay as a scar don't form whitehead. Runny nose due to cold but has been dry and peeling for a few days. Needs moisturising during day to stay hydrated. Spot near nose still there. New cyst (red lump) forming on bottom jawline on right side of face. Old scar still on face. Ever so Slightly fading. Still noticeable though even with makeup. Can start wearing my make up again to university. But skin is definitely clearing at a good pace. Would suggest keeping the foundation light. Day 13. Old Scars are beginning to fade slightly. Skin has become used to Duac so it's not really dry anymore. Moisturiser helps a lot still. Nose is the only flaky thing atm. New spot came yesterday. Head appeared tonight just waiting to see what will happen in morning. Chin looking slightly bumpy. Will have to see what happens tomorrow. But my skin looks the best it's ever been and it's only been 2 weeks. Day 18. Chin looks bump free. Skin not as dry but still rough patches here and there. Cyst near nose is still there but not as visible as it would have been without the Duac and hasn't formed into a whitehead. When I touch the area it feels like a small lump inside the skin but is barely visible. Whereas before the Duac it would have been inflamed and then developed into a whitehead. New breakout on left of cheek. But skin is in better condition than when I started. Helped slightly with acne marks in the sense that it appears smaller but not too sure. I had exams so forgot to update after 18 days. Apologies. It has now been 2 months of using duac. For the past 3 weeks I have just been using it as a precautionary measurement. My whole was was perfect. I am actually so surprised that it worked and kept the acne at bay. Make up looks flawless and I have gotten so many compliments on my face and it's all thanks to this. I have ordered an extra tube from my GP just in case and I hope it keeps working when I need it. It takes time. And don't stop using it because it dries out your skin honesty keep going and I swear you won't regret it. I am actually so much more happier without these spots and really hope it works for you guys to hence why I left a review to tell you it works for me so no harm in trying it to see if it works for you too. I also stopped drinking fizzy drinks as I felt the sugar could have broken me out. So try drinking 2litres of water a day to help flush out the toxins in your body. Good luck.

Pros:

-Reduces visible size of spots
-Reduces inflammation
-Results noticed very soon after commencing treatment

Cons:

-Due to the BP, drying can occur; nothing extreme and is certainly overcome by moisturizing adequately.

Personally, I have found this to be better than just using BP. Although both active ingredients do share bacteria- killing properties, I suppose the advantage is due to the anti inflammatory action of the clindamycin. Most people that are tolerant of BP, should definitely try this as there is clearly nothing to loose... only another beneficial ingredient added. Although results can be noticed overnight, to return to an acne- free face, you will need to use this for a couple of months.

Pros:

~Clears up skin
~Makes pimples less red
~IT JUST WORKS!!!!!

Cons:

~A LOT of flaking
~Dry Skin

I have been using this cream for about... 4-5 months. It's really effective. I used to have acne all over my forehead and a bit on my cheeks and some on my nose. I just used it in those areas and put it over all the spaces. I used it once every day in the evening after i washed my face with a random cleanser o_O (before this i used The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil stuff) The next morning i would wash my face and not put anything on it. The only problem is that your face FLAKES SO MUCH. mostly from my forehead and cheeks where the flakes flake... Especially after a shower, after my face dries, my face is all flakey and kinda reddish. If i were to rub my forehead a little bit, then the layer of flakes could cover a 10cm squared piece of paper. o_o I was like OMG. So after that i used moisturizer about 5 minutes after i put the cream on. That helped alot. i used Aveeno daily moisturizer. (unscented though i don't think that has to do with anythin o_O) After i've used it for 3 or so months, my face was completely CLEAR. The day i woke up i was like OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! T_T anyway it was great! SO JUST USE IT!!! My friend gave me the leftover bit of her bottle but it was her mom who actually recommended it to me o-o. USE IT.

Pros:

easy to use, a little expensive, works really well, pimple dries up on one application, doesn't leave marks, works well on whiteheads and blackheads, works fast

Cons:

needs to be refrigerated (well depending on the climate coz it's hot here)

When I started using duac, the first 2days made my skin flare up. More pimples appeared. but it's okay, it's a natural reaction of the skin on new products because it's adjusting to it. On the third day, i noticed a big change, all my pimples dried up, whiteheads are gone, and the backheads were raised from my pores like it was squeeze out but not. So when i washed my face, it was removed easily and they didn't come back. After a week, my skin was all clear of acne and marks. Great product! Note: I applied duac very thinly (pea size for the whole face so it wouldn't dry up your skin too much), nightly before going to bed. And i use cetaphil moisturizing lotion in the morning.

Pros:

-Easy application, COMPLETELY CLEAR SKIN!!!!!!!!!! :)
-Bleaches unwanted facial hair, since I am Hispanic this is a plus.

Cons:

little costly even with insurance, but so worth it.

I have to say that i have tried everything from prescribed antibiotics and creams to store bought products. I even tried the acne cure by Dr Dubow that made me put ice on my face every night and of course it didn't work. Needless to say I was about to settle with my awful skin. Then my Dr prescribed me benzaclin and it is the ONLY medication that has worked for me. I use to break out all around my mouth and chin and now I am completely clear. I am soooo thankful for this medication, I even went as far as to call my Dr to thank him for prescribing it to me. At first it did irritate my skin but that was just temporary. I went from being self conscious about my acne to everyone complimenting my skin. Try this medicine, you will be glad you did.

Pros:

Prevents acne
Makes skin less oily
Heals pimples quickly
Works quickly

Cons:

Makes skin sensitive for first week
Makes skin dry
Burns at first

I used this when I was 16 or so with differin gel and had the clearest skin of my life. Consistent use is essential and the combination of benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin in duac works wonders. The key is consistency. You have to be rigorous with its use. It does dry the skin out and make it very sensitive and gives it a burning feeling for the first couple of weeks but you can feel that it's working. I noticed an improvement in a few days and had NO initial breakout.

Pros:

This is the only topical gel that works to clear out my moderate acne. I have been using it for over 2 years. After extended use, leaves skin soft, clear, and smooth. No more pustules. I'm not antisocial anymore. Duac saved me.

Cons:

Expensive. It used to cost me $50/month (a month's supply lasts me 6 weeks). Then I got it for $30 through Next Rx. It takes a while to kick in. You have to be patient and consistent. If your skin flares up, try putting on every other day first, then slowly increasing over time.

I recommend Duac gel to all of my friends. My brother uses it, I use it, and our acne cleared up. Nothing else seems to work. If you can't get Duac, try anything with benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin. That is the only combination that works on my skin. Check out my blog on this website, and you'll see how I tried DK's Regimen for 8 weeks and my later journey with Duac.

Pros:

*Clears acne

Cons:

*Drys out skin
*Makes your skin flake

I had bad acne in middle school. I used to get red bumps all on my chin and forehead. When I went to the dermatologist finally I was prescribed this along with retin-a-micro. It cleared my skin :) I no longer use this product anymore because it does not do anything for me anymore, but I have not had bad acne since. I highly recommend this. It does dry you out, but get a good moisturizer and you should be fine.

Pros:

It works on stubborn acne; reduces shine/oil

Cons:

Pretty harsh if you use too much; takes some getting used to in the beginning so apply lightly; can cause irritation and redness; be sure to apply moisturizer

I am 42 and had been suffering from stubborn acne on sides of face and forehead (small reddish pimples). I use this in the am and Retin A in the evening. The combination is working for me. Skin is now clear and has never looked better. I pay $3.00 a month and my insurance covers the rest so it is very cost effective.
