Pros:

Duac gel has worked pretty decently for me so far. Have had few if any cystic pimples form since i started.

Cons:

Very drying, Expires fairly quickly

I'll continue using duac for the time being. I had been trying differin for about a month and couldnt stand the initial breakout so i switched to duac. The product doesn't do a whole lot in clearing acne marks but most definitely drys out your pimples and helps stop the formation of new ones. the only major con is that duac dry's my skin tremendously. I'm thinking about going to just a night application instead of morning and night. overall I would recommend giving it a try.

Pros:

I've been using this for a while now, and it really worked in the beginning! My skin cleared up alot. And it DOESN'T dry up your skin!!

Cons:

Has become less and less effective over time. Duac really does NOT clear up my skin any more. I never knew you were supposed to keep it in the fridge so maybe thats why? It also made my scars worse and has a weird consistency.

It clears up acne SOMETIMES. It won't work for areas where you have constant breakouts. And if you're like me, it will stop working after a while.

Worked amazingly the first time
when I initially used this, it was amazing, cleared up my skin and carried on using it for a couple years then stopped. After I stopped, my acne was getting bad again so i tried using it again but it didn't really work as well.

I recently got this item from my GP about a month ago, she said it would take about 2 month for this product to actually work. After a week my skin got immediately better. I find this product great. It doesn't burn my skin but to others this may be different. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, its worth a try!

Pros:

-Begins to start clearing acne immediately
-After 2 months dramatic improvement
-Helps with scarring
-Clears blackheads
-Overall appearance and texture majorly improved

Cons:

-Dry Skin
-May bleach clothing or pillows
-Discontinue use, acne comes back

I had suffered with acne breakouts most of my life and after trying several products the dermatologist prescribed, I finally found this wonder topical! I have been using it now for over a year and it is the only thing that has helped. It helps improve every type of acne and it works rather quickly, many even disappear over night! Other then the dryness there are no other downsides to this topical, and the dryness is really only a issue in the winter months. So just make sure you moisturize and you'll be fine! Benzaclin can be expensive, the generic product is just as good and 10 times cheaper, so keep that in mind. If you discontinue use, expect it to come back. There have been a few times where I stopped hoping I was "cured" and within a month my face looked horrible. So stick with it.. Don't stop just to start the whole process again. If you have the opportunity to try this product I definitely would! It literally gave me my life back and I even get a little anxiety when the jar gets low! haha Good Luck!

Pros:

- Cleared my severe acne within three months to just the occasional spots here and there.
- Works fast (Longest time for a spot to leave my face is five days).
- Eases the redness and makes them look less severe after a few hours.
- You only need a thin layer where the spots are so the tube lasts pretty long.

Cons:

- Can stain clothing.
- Drys out skin if used on your whole face or used too often.
- Cannot put make up over it.
-Does not clear all of your skin up, only lessens the severity.

My skin began getting to a severe acne state last year during my exams, mainly to stress. And I had previously tried most if not all over the counter products, washes, scrubs, serums, creams, lotions, wipes, you name it, I tried it. Nothing worked. I went to a dermatologist, none of their products worked, only made my skin dry, and in effect worsened my acne. I then tried natural/herbal remedies and home treatments, still nothing worked. So... I get very down about my skin, I couldn't leave home without make up and I was reapplying it half way through the school day just to cover it. Eventually over the summer, I went to my doctor and she gave me a perscription for Duac, and told me for three months I had to try it once everyday at night before bed and wash off with warm water and a sensitive skin cleanser then a normal aloe vera moisturizer across my cheeks and around my mouth (I dry out easily there) . Within those three months my skin had a dramatic change and I had so much less redness and pain on my cheeks (thats where I get most of my spots). It's been nearly a year now, and I still get spots, I only put Duac where I need it and it takes a max of five days to clear a big spot. I still have about four or five spots on my face here and there, it's not a miricle worker because of horomones, dry sensitive skin, and my hair is always down and I touch my face a lot, but I found it helped me so much when nothing else could.
