Pros:

- Dries up acne fairly quickly.
- Works quickly, didn't have to wait to see results
- Cheap with insurance
- Reduced redness

Cons:

- Drying
- Makes skin feel tight
- Breaks me out in places I didn't have acne
- Bleaches clothes

But it helped so I am willing to put up with the cons.

I am 19 years old and have struggled with acne for about 6-7 years. My mother calls it moderate acne, but my break out areas are really bad. I only break out around my mouth (chin and above my upper lip) but I have little bumps around my hair line and forehead but they aren't bad at all, compared to what they were when I was younger. Also the birth control I use, Orthotricylen, helps to keep my acne under control. I have used tons of products so far this has been my absolute favorite. It really did clear up my acne after a few days. The only bad part is that it is breaking me out in places that before were blemish free i.e my cheeks. But the good thing is that even when I do break out in those places, after a day or two they are gone. This stuff dries it up quick. Also my skin is so much drier now. My skin is naturally extremely greasy so this medication puts in now in the range of 'normal'. I would still recommend a moisturizer. For a while I wasn't taking my birth control, this will be my first month back on the pill and I have only been using Benzaclin for three weeks at the longest so hopefully in conjunction with each other, my acne will clear up. Also, as to a regime, I only use this at night because of its drying properties. I cleanse first ( I switch it up quite frequently due to my skins nature to become quickly accustomed to products, which then lose their effectiveness). So right now I am using basis soap. Its really mild which I recommend. Or I use St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Cleanser. It does have salicylic acid but I find that it is so calming and helps with redness, that it doesn't irritate my skin like other cleansers. Once or twice a week I will use Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque. Wonderful stuff, I highly recommend that as well. Thanks for reading, wish you the best of luck.

Pros:

Helps keep acne in check
Does not overly dry my skin

Cons:

Does not completely clear face
Dries in a layer on your skin that then peels off if you rub at your face
STAINS CLOTHES A LOT!!!!

Duac helped control my acne initially, when it was moderate to severe. But it didn't really clear my face up, only kept my acne at a "light" status. It is kind of annoying about the peeling thing mentioned in cons. One other pro though (heh heh, a rhyme! :D) is that the Duac kind of conceals your acne. I mean, since it dries in a semi-opaque layer, it makes your acne look less red and less severe. Basically, I would recommend this to someone to keep their acne from getting out of control, but for me it didn't actually get rid of my acne.

Over the past 2 years my skin has just exploded with acne. All throughout high school I never had a single blemish, random strangers would come up to me and tell me how nice my skin was. Now all along my jawline I have dozens of raised, red blemishes. I asked for a topical cream from my Dermatologist and was given Differin, which did absolutely nothing for me. Then she put me on Benzaclin as well as Tri-Cyclen Lo. I've been using the cream for just over 2 months and have been on the pill just one month. So far I would say my skin is 65% better. I'm hoping a few more months and my skin will be back to it's old, beautiful/clear self.

Pros:

-Makes face look better
-Clears up most acne

Cons:

-Drys face
-Did not clear up ALL acne
-Makes face feel stiff

I have used this for a while and it really helps. I put it on every night after I wash my face and all the acne mostly goes away the next day. Not all of my acne goes away though there are still spots.

Cons:

makes skin rough, dry and very red. also face becomes oily again after about an hour

i would recommend this to those who don't have very sensitive skin. it does work but you need a very good moisturizer (non comedogenic)

Pros:

This product works very fast with clear results after first 1-2days. This product is worth every penny!

Cons:

First time usage my resort in "tingling" light burning sensation but this is just the cream drying out your face, feels odd for the first time. Price, if not on prescription, is quite hefty (£20-70cl) but its worth it.

Highly recommend, great product. Gets rid of acne, fast, efficient results. Price quite hefty but i promise you it is worth it. It is probably best to be prescribed to you by a doctor firstly: Because you can get it free on presciption and secondly: Because you may be allergic or your skin my have a reaction to it which te doctor can warn to you about before you take it. Overall if you have any form of acne --GO FOR IT solves hormonal spots aswell A MUST BUY!

Cons:

you could be allergic to benzoyl peroxide like my sister, and have a reaction to the medication!

without it my face wouldn't have been as it is today. Now I feel more confident
