Pros:

After only a week of use it's already rid me of all my blackheads, and most of my acne.

Cons:

It has dried my skin out to the point that it feels like I have a really bad sunburn.

I only have moderate acne (I went to the dermatologist for a mole check and he gave this to me without my asking) and it has certainly made it better. However, I will go back to the acne if the burning doesn't stop within a day or two.

Pros:

Really does help your skin clear up

Cons:

REDNESS!!!

The only reason I stopped using this was due to the fact that it gave me a horrible rash. It had been working but since my skin is so sensitive and I live in a humid region, it only helped somewhat. I would only recommend this to someone who has tolerant skin and lives in an area not susceptible to humid conditions.

Pros:

Excellent spot treatment- clears and dries up pimples and also shrinks red cyst-like zits QUICKLY. You don't need to use it for weeks upon weeks before it starts to work.

Cons:

It is pretty drying when you first apply it, however it has never made my face peel. Also, it's more of a "rescue" treatment - it won't totally keep you from getting new acne, & if you stop using it or slack off on it, ur acne probably will come back

This is the ONLY acne treatment that has EVER worked for me. It kept my acne pretty under control for the 3 years I was on it consistently. It dried up new acne sometimes overnight and kept my zits from developing into huge pustule-type zits that take forever to go away. After I lost my health insurance I had to stop getting it as often ($75-85 per 90-day supply, yikes), but w/out it my acne got so bad, with no OTC stuff working on it, that I don't mind paying out of pocket!

Pros:

It did appear to reduce the size of some of the larger spots

Cons:

It didn't really se any significant improvement in my skin, I still ahve tons of spots, no less than I had when I started using this.
Also the standard problems with a benzyol peroxide treatment - dry/peeling skin, it bleaches your clothes

This hasn't really worked for me. I have suffered from acne for years, for many years I was using a 10% benzyol peroxide treatment to keep the acne at bay and for many years this did the trick, my skin wasn't perfect but generally wasn't terrible either. However several months ago my skin got significantly worse, I went to the doctors, he prescribed me this. I really wish that this could have helped me as it seems to have helped a lot of other people on here :(

Pros:

Face has cleared up in about three weeks.

Cons:

I have more dark spots on face since using this product.

Does make face a lot tighter considering I had extremely oily skin. It is pretty pricy, but if it helps with the breakouts, it will be well worth the money.

Good at first, but less effective later on
I've been using Duac on and off since about June 2016. I get acne flare ups which are very inflamed and over the counter products never work. At first, it worked amazingly and I was really happy with the way it was clearing my skin. As time went on it just became ineffectual and I think my skin might have built up a resistance to it- I've heard that has happened to people that have used this over time.

a fine spot treatment
I put when i see a pimple about to come out, and around that area. Sometimes it is able to prevent it from forming. Too harsh on my skin to use it regularly on the whole skin. TIP: Make sure that after you put it on an area , you keep putting it there for a few nights in a row so it will kill all the bacteria there and they will not get resistant to it, because then it will be useless.

Worked for a while
Worked for a while (about 2 months) and I did have clear skin during that time. I was really pleased. It's quite a thick formula but it goes on ok. I applied and stored it as directed but it just stopped working. I've gone back to it a couple of times to see whether it'll work for a while to give me a break from breakouts but it just doesn't work at all anymore. Strange how a lot these products only seem to work short term.

The leaflet directs that it should not be used for longer than 2 months after first opening of the tube. I guess it gets ruined due to the oxygen or whatever...anyway, maybe u should get a new tube.
