Pros:

actually works.

Cons:

.. for a while. everyone was suposedly so excited about it working so fast, but yes it DID work, but after a while all of a sudden a complete shock i get HUGE zits all over my face. the complexion is getting better but these huge zits came out

maybe its because the effects of accutane is wearing off, but for me personally it did not work. thats why im swtiching to kern's bp which i got today and am hoping that it works. benzaclin is supposed to work quit and not become "immuned" to the skin, but for me its good results wore off and skin just started looking horrible.

Pros:

After the first application I could see a difference. The whiteheads started to disappear!!

Cons:

It burned my face soo bad. I am very fair and one treatment overnight left me in tears the next morning. No other side effects besides the dryness and burning.

I use this product maybe twice a week and load up on the moisturizer! IT cleared up the acnce that has been following me around for years!

Works for only so long..
Ever since I was 12 years old, I started breaking out like crazy. I had acne all over my face. I put up with it for quite awhile, only using over the counter products. Once I hit grade 11, I couldn't take it anymore and decided to go to my family doctor. I asked for this after I had heard from my sister that this was the only thing that helped with her acne. I believe I noticed an improvement within the first 2 weeks. I didn't experience an initial breakout. My skin just seemed to get maybe 60% better. I didn't have acne on my forehead anymore, only some along the cheeks. However, my skin was never able to get fully clear with this. With it taking my severe acne to moderate acne, I was happy up until I developed what seemed like a resistance to the medication. I was using this every night for the past 3 years. Now, this topical doesn't seem to make any difference with my acne. For that reason, I went to a derm and am now trying Tactupump as my last topical attempt before trying oral pills. I gave this a 3 stars because while it didn't completely solve my problem, It was the one medication that helped me at a very desperate time in my life and boosted my self-esteem for quite a while.

Worked well for a few months
I got prescribed this gel last summer for mild-moderate acne. The medication starting working within a few weeks, and my skin was 80% clear within a month of use. I didn't have any major side effects while using this cream aside from some dry skin in the first few weeks. Unfortunately this product stopped working for me after about 4 or 5 months of use. I took a break from using it while on vacation for a week (this gel increases sun sensitivity) and when I started using it again on my return, I ended breaking out again and not clearing up anymore. I think it might be due to the fact that it's an antibiotic, and therefore the bacteria on your skin can eventually become resistant if the gel isn't used regularly.

Stops working
I dont have acne, just a few spots here and there and when stressed worse BUT I have used a lot of treatments so feel I can give a fair review Got this product a few years ago worked amazing and then just stopped working.. next time i used it had rashes on my face so dont use more than a thin layer!! becomes less strong the more you use so never use it twice a day because I think thats how it became immune to my skin... now I use it here and there it helps a bit..

Pros:

Works to clear moderate acne
Minimal irritation
No initial breakout

Cons:

Eventually stops working

I started using Benzaclin when I was 14 and my skin began breaking out. At the time, it helped me immensely. I constantly had compliments on my clear skin. Unfortunately, after 7 years of use, it stopped working for me. Still, it's a good first-line treatment. I recommend trying it out as it is much less difficult for skin to get used to than retinoids.

Pros:

Keeps acne under control, no fowl smell, fast and easy to apply

Cons:

It's a prescription, can be harsh on the skin, makes acne worse if you don't stay consistent

This is a good medication for those who want to keep acne under control, but it did not completely get rid of my acne. I needed to use another cleanser just to keep my face smooth and clean-feeling because this medication left it dried out and peeling because of the ingredients. Whenever I would skip using it, even for one day, my acne would flare up and get even worse than it was to begin with! If you stick with the medication and have only moderate acne, this product should be fine.

Pros:

Does treat and shrink pimples sometimes, depending on the location of pimple and how big it is it doesn't effect it by much

Cons:

Price; Doesn't effect pimples much that I can tell and after I used it for the first few days I had a really bad break out on my chin that hasn't happened to me before using it...tried using it on break out, didn't help much

I don't know if I like this acne treatment. It also leaves the skin tight and dry. I don't think it works for me though it's worked well on other people. I'm wondering if the bacteria I have is immune to the anitibiotic in the treatment and it sucks

Pros:

Good consistency, seemed to slow acne and reduce size of pimples overnight

Cons:

Bleaches everything--pillowcases, clothes, towels

I personally found it didn't work very well for me, even after continuous nightly use for a few months. While it helped keep my acne somewhat controlled, it never really got me clear. And I have pretty severe acne.
