Pros:

Works great on blackheads, goes on with makeup easily and can use even after expiration date.

Cons:

Smells weird, won't stop the pimples you get while on your period, little zits and bumps appear, & still get those red pimples.

I've used this for over a year. Started out great. Not zits and no pimples. But then..you get immune after a while hence the switching back and forth from routines. I' used it with differin 1% and it went well for a couple months. Differin dries and benzaclin doesn't. I'd advise trying it but don't expect too much

Pros:

Seems to have gotten rid of the whiteheads on my forehead which the Clindamycin didn't. Can be used as a spot treatment to help dry pimples up.

Cons:

Super drying and I usually have oily skin. Red face, peely skin. Even the DML moisturizer didn't help.

Suffered from acne off and on since high school and am 35 YO now. Use Solodyn, Benzaclin and Retin-A. Not sure which has done the trick but been clear for a few months now, except for the occ. pimple around my period. Had been using Clindamycin but tried Benzaclin to clear up the whiteheads on my forehead. Benzaclin has cleared them up but my face super dry and even the DML didn't help even though usu. have oily skin. Started to wash my face only at night (Cetaphil for oily skin) and use the Benzaclin as a spot treatment and preventive on my t-zone. Also cut back on the dairy, switched to organic milk for my cereal and stopped eating soy. My acne is hormonal and stress-related so believe it or not but think yoga helps me too. Not only does it relieve my stress but I think the breathing is cleansing. I still have bumpy scars around my mouth but hope they'll reduce over time. Also had two chem peels by Dr. but not convinced they help.

Pros:

Has been the one treatment that has cleared my acne the best.
Dries quick and I only spend $15 every 3 months on it!

Cons:

My face is RED and I don't even apply is everywhere.
It has bleached my shirts and gotten on my pillow case.
Dries skin out but worse of all is redness so after multiple comments I stopping it and finding something else (My skin is very fair)

It works for some people's acne. Other people will find more negatives than positives. Try it, it won't break your bank account.

Pros:

clears skin pretty well,

Cons:

makes skin dry,
takes awhile to clear existing acne,
gives you the runs, ew I know gross!

I've only been using this product for about a month until I ran out, I am going to be getting more soon... After I used it for a couple weeks my skin got pretty clear, but not completely yet. I guess maybe with time. The downfall is that once I ran out and stopped using it it gave me a bit of gross acne by my eyebrows and face and though I am a teenager I usually don't have acne like that in the first place. So that could be a problem. I'm going to continue using it and hope for the best. We'll see how it goes. I'm going to get a good moisturizer until then...

Pros:

gets rid of acne effectively and fast for a while

Cons:

acne comes back after couple of weeks and I also suffer with psoriasis which broke out all over my face and on hands where I applied the cream,up until this point my psoriasis was very minimal.

would recommend using it for spots but be careful if you have any skin problems such as psoriasis or eczema.

Pros:

I'm in my 40's and still had reoccurring acne. I'm on a combined treatment - spironolactone, solodyne, topical glymed wash and BenzaClin. Use this once a day, and it keeps the spots away. My skin has a new texture and NO MORE BREAKOUTS!

Cons:

Very drying - but I use only once a day and right afterwards put Neutrogena oil-free-fragrance free lotion on. So, drying isn't an issue. Occassionally add a second treatment if I see a bump emerging. It is expensive!

GREAT IN COMBINATION w/ antibiotics, spironolactone and a glymed wash!

Pros:

When I initially used it I thought it was awesome! I only have mild break-out along the chin area, however, nothing would help it. After two days the acne had cleared up and I figured it would be "the answer."

Cons:

After two days I stopped using it. The area around my chin was not only dry and flaky, but it was very painful to even open my mouth. I was using a moisturizer. My skin also had an orange tint to it along with the rough, dry texture of an orange!

Having weighed the Pros and Cons, I decided NOT to give up on the product. I am going to wait until my skin is not so irritated from the product and use it again. However, I will use less of it and apply it only to the acne lesions instead of the entire chin area.

Pros:

It does help minimize breakouts...

Cons:

Turns skin reddish and makes it sensative.... It has made my skin around my nose more red, leaving my veins under my nose more noticeable. It is also extremely expensive...no insurance.

I have used this product for roughly 4 years as a preventative measure. I continue using it because i am afraid if i stop i will break out and that is unexceptable. The product isn't affordable at all since i have no insurance, i used to pay over $120 for 50g. It is worth a little red if you are a woman, make-up covers the redness up pretty well.
