Pros:

- Completely clear skin
- Tube lasts for 1 and half months
- Dries quickly
- IT ACTUALLY WORKS!

Cons:

- Dries out skin a little

Before I used Duac, I used to buy new products every week, none of which helped at all. I was frustrated and just wanted to find something that worked. My acne seemed to be getting worse and not better! So then I tried Duac. After the first 2 weeks I started to see a big improvement, and by 3 weeks, my skin was perfect! I used to be very insecure about my skin. My acne was really bad, but I never felt good when I had spots. Now my skin is totally clear and has been for a whole year now... It's such a relief to finally find a product that works! I highly recommend Duac. I wash my face (with a facial wash by La Roche Posay) before I go to bed, then I apply Duac. It only takes a minute and dries quickly. Then I wash it off the next morning.

Pros:

It heals the acne faster than other products, it's cheap, it doesn't dry your face too much, it doesn't make you peel like a monster

Cons:

you have to store it in the fridge, you can't use it during the day or expose yourself to sunlight

A dermatologist prescribed me Duac almost three months ago, when I was desperate and thought everything I did was never going to work on me. In the last three weeks, I have started to see an improvement on my face. I still get acne, but not so much as before, and it's great. I just hope it stays like this. Another thing I am doing since I have started with Duac is taking Diane 35 daily, a type of birth control pill prescribed for acne. I think the combination of these two works for me.

Pros:

It is the only medication that has ever completely cleared my skin. I have had acne for 22 years..and this has been the best.

Cons:

drying...ONLY if you don't use lotion with the application. My doctor recommended Cetaphil, which you can buy at any drugstore.

I am 34 and I have had acne since I was 11. Over the years I have tried every medication available, including, proactive, Retin A and even Accutane (which I was allergic to). Benzaclin was the only medication that totally got rid of everything. I found out about this medication after a dermabration appointment from a plastic surgeon. He told me to use ONLY, purpose facial soap, cetaphil lotion and Benzaclin. I also use Aveda and Bare Minerals makeup. All works incredibly well together. Also, I found out that if you use lotion along with any medication..you will have a much better result!!

Pros:

cleared up my acne almost totally; unscented; costs $25 for a 2 month supply, but thats with my Cigna insurance so I guess I can't really say for sure that it's cheap; no itching, redness, etc

Cons:

dries out my skin so it gets flaky.
if you use too much it can burn a bit
supposedly it can bleach your clothes but I've never had that problem just by getting dressed before applying and washing my hands

my acne was never HORRIBLE, but it was visible and embarrassing. I use Duac in the morning along with Retin A Micro at night and I get a tiny pimple or two a week and a noticeable one maybe once a month. I use an exfoliating sponge ($2-$4 at a drug store) 20 min. after applying to LIGHTLY scrub away the loose skin my dermatologist has me mix the Duac with moisturizer to lessen the drying effects I can tell my success is due mainly to the Duac and not the Retin A Micro because I was using the Retin A Micro by itself before and it made only a small difference THIS STUFF IS MAGICAL and well worth a little dryness. If your doctor gave you this prescription, run like crazy to the pharmacist =]

Pros:

Doesn't dry out skin
Works almost over night
Doesn't make skin irritated
Doesn't feel gross on your face
Very effective
Little use, big results

Cons:

Nothing, bit pricey, worth it!
If your not consistent, not as effective,

This is one of the best products I have ever used and I highly recommend it. Although it seems expensive, you use very little of it on your skin, that it doesn't run out easily. Good for people with sensitive skin, works very quickly, and when used consistently you can have clear skin quickly. This is so good, best product ever! Very happy!

Pros:

Begins clearing skin immediately
Skin noticeably smoother
New blemishes are small and heal quickly
Red spots are fading

Cons:

None

I am 18 and I started having trouble with my skin at 17. I tried bc pills (OTC and YAZ), benzaclin, and tazorac (not all at once) and my complexion got substantially worse. In addition, I lost a lot of hair while on and after taking YAZ. I tried a new derm two weeks ago and she started me on Duac at bedtime and Nicomide pills (one a day for now). My skin is 80% better after only two weeks! My cheeks and forehead are smooth again. This is the only product that has worked for me. I highly recommend trying it.

Pros:

IT WORKS

Cons:

None

you will need to put on moisturiser though.

Started Mid July 2011 by end of July 2011 my skin was completely clear. My acne was bad, very bad and ive had it for over 9 years. Duac worked wonderfully. Please try it. My derm also gave me trimethoprim(antibiotic) so think the combination has worked well but i attribute the bulk of the results to the duac. I no longer worry about how my face looks, sometimes i forget i actually had acne. Now the only thing left to do is resolved the psychological problems that have arisen as a result of the acne over the past 9 years

Pros:

Balances skin if you are very Oily/Combination

Cons:

None

I have extremely oily skin that can be flaky at the same time if I use the wrong products. I have been using Benzaclin in the mornings for two years and have seen amazing results. I put Benzaclin on in the morning first and then add a little Boscia moisturizer around my nostrils and other areas that are prone to dryness. I also use Tazorac three times a week at night. It is known to dry skin very quickly but I put moisturizer on first and then add the tiniest pea size amount of Tazorac. Sometimes these topical ointments are too powerful alone and the addition of a light non-oil based moisturizer can do the trick. I can still get a bit oily during the day, but my cystic acne has stopped. But keep in mind that oil can be great. You age much more slowly!

Pros:

works well with controlling oil and maintaining a clear face

Cons:

it just maintains not fixes. without it my face freaks out and with it i get to have normal acne

great but if you have severe acne look into adding something else along with it. great for oil control though.
