Pros:

i think it has cleared up the tiny bumps on my forehead, as well as blackheads on my nose

Cons:

i'm not sure if this is just an initial reaction, but after one week of using it, i have 6 really big, red pimples on my forehead. everything else seems to be clear, though. It is also very drying and causes redness.

Not sure yet. I've only been using it for a week, so I guess it's a bit too early to tell. I just hope it's not going to screw up my skin. I didn't have very bad skin to begin with, but i began to break out all of a sudden on my forehead. my doctor said it was because of my bangs, which could be true.. but he prescribed it anyway. I hope the big pimples are from the cream just making all the crap under my skin surface, and after that i'll be clear? i'll post again in a few weeks to report how it's going. everything else seems to be fine though, especially my blackheads. my insurance didnt cover it either, so i paid 80 bucks.... but if it works, it's worth it. we'll see!

Pros:

Reduces large pimples, but thats about it's helped

Cons:

Leaves skin very flaky in the winter, works only for a short period of time, expensive - not worth the price

I've used this stuff since March (6 months) and it seemed to only help my acne for the first 2 months before I started breaking out again. Since then, its done nothing for me but take up space in the medicine cabinet. It's honestly a waste of your money and time.

Pros:

Derm Recommended

Cons:

We went to our local CVS to fill a 45gm tube of Duac and a 45gm tube of Differin for my 12 year old daughter. New RX from our Dermatologists

The Retail price of Duac was $204! Retail for Differin was $200! I could not even believe it and I used to be in the pharma biz so to be shocked by an Rx price it really has to be expensive. Everybody is listing what their costs are, I can only assume that everyone has a Rx co-pay insurance plan. We have an HSA plan as I am self-employed so I really watch our healthcare costs. Even with our BCBS Anthem Discount for Rx, our out of pocket expense was going to be $150 for each product. Not reasonable at all! I called our Derm and she switched us to generic

Pros:

Unfortunately nothing, this product was definately not the right one for me.

Cons:

Used this product once and will never use again, It severely burnt my skin leaving my whole face with bright red blotches, it was so bad I had to go to the local hospital a&e department.

A highly expensive product which I believe can do more damage to your skin than good. I would rather have acne on my face than use this product again.

Pros:

none

Cons:

it makes ur face hard and it bleaches ur clothes, and it is visible when it dries

I would not recommend this because I have been using this stuff wit retin-a micro, and solodyn everyday since November of 2006 and it has been 8 months and I still haven't seen any improvements.

Pros:

Felt good, made skin feel clean.

Cons:

Did not help my acne.

I used this consistently for three weeks, and although it made my skin feel clean, and I did not get as much new breakouts while using the product, it did not help my acne. This was my first acne prescription and the results were very disappointing.

Pros:

Inexpensive with insurance

Cons:

Did not work, although did not necessarily make things worse.

I had high hopes based on the positive reviews and my dermatologists' testimony to me that he would "give this product to his son". however, i was thoroughly disappointing as it did nothing for acne, redness, etc. The combination treatment was a disappointment to me personally. I give it a 2 because it did not cause me an initial breakout nor did it help a thing.

Pros:

Short term wonder. Clears up acne, skin is not oily or irritated.

Cons:

Toxic. Chemical damage to skin over time; skin becomes raw and discolored, destroys acid mantle protecting the skin from infection; antibiotic and BP absorb into body and can poison organs and beneficial bacteria, leading to systemic yeast infection

Probably better to deal with root causes of acne now instead of dealing with them plus additional, scarier health problems caused by Benzaclin later on when it stops working, which eventually it does. It stopped working for me after three years and for the friend of mine who was on it and we both got really bad acne after stopping, skin that was raw and unhealthy, and had systemic yeast infections.
