Pros:

Makes your entire face red so it looks like you have no acne.

Cons:

Drying to the tenth power!! Made my skin irritated and and that caused me to break out even more.

Burns your face

Pros:

it does help to clear up new pimples that form really quicky...usually about a day or two

Cons:

makes your skin really dry. it doesnt help existing acne at all, just treats the new pimples.

ive had acne in my cheeks since i was 12, and now im 16 years old and sick of it... my doctor prescribed this medicine about a year ago and at first i was excited cause i read great reviews. ive come to realize this medicine only works on people that have very very mild acne, if you even call that acne. Before bed i wash my face with dove soap beauty bar, then apply lancome face lotion, then apply benzaclin. i think my skin has just become immune to it...soon im gonna start using benzamycin because ive heard such great reviews about it. bottom line is benzaclin does NOT work as well as it is supposed to, if u want a drastic change dont use it!!!!!!

If your at the dermatologists level go ahead and get accutane

Pros:

It didn't make my blemishes worse (although it didn't help my situation either)

Cons:

My face and eyes swelled, were itchy & reddened

I used it for about 2 weeks, every other day, but couldn't do it anymore after it irritated my sensitive skin & made it itch like crazy, even while using a moisturizer. I recently started using Sulfacetamide Sodium (Klaron) which has been great so far; no irritation or redness, and I don't even have to use a moisturizer, which is unbelievable for my skin. It was a little pricey considering I didn't get to use it much. I think I'm just hyper-sensitive to Benzoyl Peroxide, so beware if you are too!

Pros:

No side effects for me.

Cons:

Made my face worse even after a good period of time.

When I started using this product, for the first few days my face looked got worse and looked horrible. I kept using it because my dermatoligist told me that this is normal. After about two weeks my acne got a litte better. After a month and a half of use, there had been no progress at all. My acne was worse than when I started, so i stopped using it. It has only been two days and I have noticed a difference. This item just did not work for me.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Does not work on cystic acne. Does not fade the red marks all that fast, and I'm very fair-skinned.

Not worth the $65.00

Dried out skin and made acne worse.

Started watching my diet, drinking ACV, taking vitamins including B5, and switched to Differin. Acne is now a lot better.

Pros:

seems to have cleared my acne quickly

Cons:

My whole face has come out in a bizarre rash, like tiny tiny bumps all over my face, skin feels weird, coarse and warm to the touch, slighly itchy =(

My chin has been prone to acne for years, so my doctor but me on Lymecycline oral tablets and gave me Duac gel. I first applied the gel over my whole face, as my whole face gets very oily and wanted to dry it out abit. BIG MISTAKE, the next day my skin was red and look very strange under a certain light, i looked closer and could see tons of tiny raised bumps all over my face!!! My skin was also abit itchy. I read in the leaflet redness and itching is normal, so i decided just to use the gel on my chin where i get the acne. Altough my chin is red, its free from acne spots... but i am now very self conscious of these tiny bumps on my face. I first applied the gel on sunday, its now tuesday. I am goin to discontinue the treatment until my skin returns to normal. I think this prodcut is very strong and not good for mild acne. I paid around £7.00. I think i'll go back to my doctore and ask for something less strong. Can anyone tell me if they've experience the same tiny rash like b

Pros:

affordable with my insurance, get a lot of product

Cons:

made skin worse but never improved it, bleached fabrics

i used this product for three months. it made whiteheads and comedones out of all my pores (yes, ALL my pores! pores that NEVER broke out) but my skin never improved. one month after i stopped using it, i've seen no improvement. my skin has never looked so bad. use with caution.

Pros:

Dries out light acne, fades scars.

Cons:

Did not clear my chin acne. Very drying. $180 w/out insurance for a tiny 25g jar. Are you kidding me?!

Over-priced w/out insurance. Does not clear up face completely, had little to no effect on my chin acne. Should only be used on light cases of acne.
