Pros:

Doesn't irritate skin, does what it says, great as a spot treatment

Cons:

SFC Lotion which accompanies the Rx tends get used up first. I believe this is what prevents the irritation

I actually went to my Dermatologist and requested a spot treatment. I am 24 years of age and have been acne proned all my life, initially, I was only prescribed Retin-A-Micro (which I love) but I also wanted something to treat isolated breakouts....hence the Duac topical gel. The two products work fine together and only on occassions do I notice MINOR irritation. I love the gel, I have had to for a few months but I don't use it everyday, mostly for breakouts around my jawline and in my T-Zone. It takes care of the problem in just a day or two. I love the SFC lotion which accompanies it...it feels great on my skin and provides a balance, non greasy moisterized feeling even with have to apply the 5% benzoyl peroxide gel...which is murder on anyone's skin.

Pros:

Really works! The antibiotic worked really well at smoothing out my skin and reducing inflammation/redness. It doesn't smell gross, like some acne products.

Cons:

Not much to say here. Some dryness, i suppose.

I use it every night and when I wake up, my skin is smooth and evenly toned. No red spots or huge lumps. My acne wasn't that bad, but I saw major improvements in my skin's general health as well as disappearing acne. Now, I don't even wear concealer or foundation on my face because my skin looks so great!

Pros:

IT WORKS! XD
DOESN'T DRY OUT SKIN!
CAN BE WORN UNDER MAKE UP AND MOISTURIZERS!

Cons:

U HAVE TO REFRIGERATE IT!

This is the ONLY thing that has worked for me! I used to have "MODERATE" acne.. now it's just "VERY LIGHT!" :) Totally cleared up my skin in about a month. I started getting getting really bad adult acne at the start of this year (Jan, 2009). I tried everything from Pro-Active, The Regimen they have on this website, Neutrogena products! EVERYTHING! U NAME IT! :( So I finally went to my GP and he prescribed me this. I use it both morning & night and I only put it on the spots or if I can see a pimple developing it gets rid of it straight away! SO HAPPY! I probably have 1 small pimple left on my face!

Pros:

worked well the first time. seeing some improvement the 2nd time

Cons:

takes some time

i used this last summer and it worked great and fast(about a month or so) used it constantly for four months, got really clear so i stopped. i was good for 6 months and than it started coming back. i freaked and started washing my face like crazy and overloading on products. i got my prescripton renewed on june 20. it now august 17 and im starting to see improvements. dont know why its taking so long. i seem to break out more in the summer. and i have oily skin. im going to my derm tommorw for the first time(duac was prescribed by the dude who did my physical) and i was wondering if theres anything that works well with duac? i trust duac. any suggestions. oh and time is they key. i broke out pretty bad before things calmed down. but if you know any good combos let me know.

Pros:

I went to the dermatologist for the fist time and he prescribed benzaclin and some kind of antibiotic. I'm not sure if the antibiotics works but this gel is drying up my acnes pretty good.

Cons:

I have very oily skin but this gel made my skin extremely dry. I had to use tons of moisturizer.

well, just give it a try, it's working for me but the price is a little too high. I'm still trying to figure out why my insurance company only pay 38 dollars for this gel ( I had to pay 170 out of my pocket) while I'm paying $167 for my insurance every month. any one have good health insurance that covers derm. visits and acne prescriptions?

Pros:

Really good for the huge zits
Clears up acne super fast
Pretty affordable

Cons:

Not consistent with me at all
Burned my face horribly

Duac really cleared up my huge zits well, as for the little ones, not so much. It wasn't worth the redness and burning though. Around my time of the month, it wouldn't work at all, leaving me with horrible looking skin. But i do have really sensetive skin, so i would reccomend this product. :)

Pros:

Clears your skin up the first month or so

Cons:

After the first month, man, it gets NASTY
Very Drying
Makes skin red

I wouldn't tell anyone to go on this. It's like a miracle the first month, despite the, raw, red, dry skin. but after that it gets horrible, I went from being completely clear to having 10 big red bumps on my face.

Pros:

It seems to have worked. Inexpensive with insurance. Though I only use it nightly

Cons:

drying, also may be becase of stress or my period but I still get a few every now and then. I'm also starting to get close to my expiry date. Here's hoping for the best!

Seems awesome enough (knock on wood) I use right now, LUSH products...to clean and moisturize, which haven't really helped, I think a good cleanser etc may be key...diet too perhaps?

Pros:

started clearing up my acne in about two days. it has now been 4 weeks and my face is clear of all acne.

Cons:

use a good mosturizer after applying because Benzaclin does dry your face. I use clinique mosturizing gel (which is a great product)

Great product. Use it. Nothing has worked for me except this.
