Pros:

I'm a male model, and only get a few spots every now and then (YES MODELS DO GET SPOTS), mostly from shaving all the time but duac seems to fix the problem very quickly if applied to the area/spot at night.

Cons:

i guess its quite expensive but i don't notice it

get it and give it a go. no harm in trying.

Pros:

The only acne medication/product that has ever made a real difference - and it acts so fast!
It really, really worked for me.
Nice texture, you have to use a lot (a 2cm line) but it sinks into the skin really quickly, and makeup goes over it really nicely.
A pleasant smell, clean but not clinical.

Cons:

My only (very, very minor) qualm with Duac is that my t-zone is still slightly too oily, but a little bit of face powder fixes this no problem!

I have tried almost every over the counter spot-fighting cleanser/exfoliator/moisturizer/gel there is, and ditto with medication - I have tried all the acne-treating antibiotics available in the Uk (I'm still on Lymecycline, but only out of habit), as well as topical creams (which just made my skin even more oily), and nothing had any effect... my skin was actually getting worse over time, with more frequent and aggressive cystic spots appearing, particularly on my cheeks - which for a long time had been the only clear bit of my face... (and I'm 21, so my skin really had no excuse!) So I'd pretty much given up finding something that would actually work, but thought I would give Duac a shot while I waited for my referral to be put on Roaccutane, since I basically had nothing to lose. The first couple of days using Duac gave pretty much the result I was expecting - dryness, oiliness and slight irritation in one horrible combination, with no effect on my acne. But after about a week of daily use, things changed! My cystic spots began shrinking, I got less blackheads, and only the teeniest, try-hard whiteheads still came through occasionally... My skin was pretty much clear, and indeed almost glowing! I can see and feel Duac changing the way my skin behaves, and definitely in a good way! I have had a couple of minor blemishes come through in the hormonal week before my period, but nothing compared to what it used to be, and with continued use I can see it having a real and sustained difference. I can finally say good bye to the acne-ridden menace that was my skin for so many years! I'm still going to go on Reaccutane, because I want permanently clear skin without having to rely on a daily cream, but I'm now slightly concerned that my dermatologist won't see the need because my skin is so improved! Pros:

Prevents Acne
Good spot treatment

Cons:

Can be a little drying but use lotion after it dries

I have had acne since my freshman year in high school (i am now in my second year of college) and it has been mostly moderate. i have tried all the over the counter products and finally gave up on them a few months ago and decided to see a dermatologist for the first time. I was prescribed Benzaclin and it has been the best acne product I've ever used. i thought that lotions and creams would never work but this stuff really has worked for me, and i had really stubborn deep pimples. i started seeing results after about two to three weeks, i still got a couple pimples but i wasn't breaking out like i used too. Now i have been using it for two months and my skin is almost completely clear, i just have a few acne scars but i have no active pimples! I have read sooooooo many reviews of products on this site and read so many success stories, and i promised myself if i ever found a product that works i would write a review on it. if you are like me and feel that acne makes you self conscious and all those horrible emotions that come with acne i hope you go to a dermatologist and give this stuff a try cause it really does work.

Pros:

it really works wonders!

Cons:

a little dryness

i think you have to continually use this medication, because as soon as 2-3 months of not using it i started to break out like crazy. this medication works though, the only thing is if you don't have insurance it could get really pricey.

Pros:

Starts clearing skin very quickly.

Cons:

Drys skin, use with moisturizer. Could be pricey without insurance.

Pros:

Worked right away, my skin was smooth and the pimples were gone. The reddness was gone.

Cons:

I was still left with light acne scars on my cheeks. My skin was super dry (mostly around my mouth). Turned my pillow cases white along with my bed sheets.

My doctor told me I might have to use this for along time just to control my breakouts. Stopped using it for 2 months some pimples came back. I didn't breakout like crazy. It was under control. It's a great product and it was the only thing to ever work for me other than birthcontrol pills.

Pros:

It gets the job done, reduces amount size, and scarring.

Cons:

hard to apply all over back, luckily though, you can see where you missed almost the next day because it clears up so fast.

Get this stuff, even if it only gets half of it, its better than none.

Pros:

works fast, doesn't dry out skin. gets rid of the majority of them over night.

Cons:

can not skip a day, smells bad.

Pros:

works soo well for everyone i know i would never use anything else, no other washes meds needed, can be worn in the mornin or at night,

Cons:

smells like crap, burns eyes have contact solution to rinse out if that happens

I LOVE IT and all my friends do too. doesnt make acne worse and then go away, Benzaclin jus takes it all away =], doesnt need to be used at certain times, can stop usin when face is clear and when a break out comes start usin again I recommend for every skin type! doesnt dry the skin out like other medications. try it ULL LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! $30 for a 50g Jar lasts Three Months
