Pros:

Cleared up my acne and bakne in just a few days and left my skin clean without any acne marks.

Cons:

It makaes your skin dry but you can get rid of that with moisturizer and made my skin tight when I put it on.

It really works compared to all the other products made to clear up acne.

Pros:

I use it at night. (I also have that Differin product others are talking about and use that in the morning. Along with Rosaderm cleanser. All of which are prescriptions covered by health insurance.)

Cons:

Dermatologist warned to sleep on light colored pillow cases, etc. since the product could cause a bleaching side effect to fabrics. I use this at night.

I have very sensitive skin and it's great for that. My acne is mostly a result of PMS/hormones I think. It hasn't completely 100% eliminated acne, but it does a great job of controlling it and limiting the amount/severity. Also, I had a facial at a salon recently. When I mentioned acne as a problem, the esthetician didn't notice which means my various products must be working. She did notice however my skin is dry which could be the result of both the products and it was winter, so all my skin was dry. As for cost, I am on MN Care so my co-pays are low. It's cheap for me, but it might be more expensive depending on insurance plans and co-pays.

Pros:

works great overnight and is covered by health plan. Helps with blackheads and oilyness on top of treating acne.

Cons:

gets annoying because there is so little cream in the bottle. I am a speed swimmer who is in the water 17 hours a week (chlorine) so it dires my face out really badly. I use it three times a week. STAINS CLOTHES AND HAIR

I use Benzaclin three or more times a week, works great for oilyness, blackheads and zits although im not completely acne free yet. Dries out my face, but thats moisturizers job. If you live were theres lots of sun only use at night. Started working 2 weeks after first use.

Pros:

Inexpensive, apply once a day, clear application,

Cons:

takes a while to see results

Derm perscribed me this in addition to doxycycline. I have been on it for 5 days now, and although my acne isn't gone, I can see an improvement I was waking up every morning with a new pimple and now haven't had any new ones in a couple weeks (before this week I was applying benzoyl heavily everyday) I had quit my birth control about 4 months ago and the derm said because i stopped my bc it started giving me acne!! Now I am back on bc in addition to these products. Hopefully I will be clear in a month.

Pros:

Keeps working for me after four years

Cons:

Bleaches clothes

I must be very lucky to not have any real side effects from using duac. It always works for me. Sometimes it takes longer than others to remove acne, but it always gets the job done. I guess after four years, you just need to know what works for you. Always wash your face with some kind of exfoliator that will clean your pores first - that has helped me a lot so I don't even have to use duac every night! I'd say a single tube normally lasts me 6 months, so it's not been outrageously expensive. I use a lot too, so I'm curious as to how the other people found this so expensive. Anyway, bottom line - It works wonders for me. I don't know why more people don't use it. But if it doesn't work for you, there's a ton of other products out there!

Pros:

Works great, did not bother my skin at all. All my chin lesions dissapeared. Had clear skin for months.

Cons:

Works 100% for a few months then stops working and then you're back to square one.

Worth it for the few months of clear skin you will enjoy, but is very disappointing when it stops working.

Pros:

It works very well at eliminating acne. It also doesn't irritate my skin as bad as other products.

Cons:

It is fairly expensive, but the jar lasts me over two months.

It is the only thing I have found that works for my mild to moderate acne without irritating my face. I use Cetaphyl face wash for normal/oily skin and it works well in combination with the Benzaclin.

Pros:

Works very quickly. I have been using it for 2 months and my face is completely clear. If I have an emerging zit coming on, this stuff gets rid of it overnight. I'm in love with this stuff. I'm 22 and have on and off skin problems, and this helps.

Cons:

The only con is that it can be drying, like other reviewers have said. The thing is, if you follow it with lotion, you'll be fine. This is a strong product, so the people experiencing bad dryness are probably overusing. You don't need that much!

With my insurance this med is about $10 and it works SO well on my skin, so I would recommend it without a doubt. Just keep in mind that you DO NOT NEED TO USE THAT MUCH OF THIS PRODUCT! Two pumps should cover your entire face! If you use more than that, you will NOT see faster, better results. You will just experience very dry skin. I use Neutrogena Healthy Skin lotion with SPF 15 and 3 drops of jojoba oil morning and night, and my skin is totally clear and not dry at all. Get this medicine and buy some moisturizer, and you'll be pleasantly surprised at how good your skin looks in a few weeks.
