Pros:

Cheap with insurance
Seemed to absorb well

Cons:

gave me a yeast infection after 2 days!
Can lead to bacterial resistance

I was super reluctant to use an antibiotic, as I am very sensitive to the way they screw with my internal flora balance. My dermo said that I should just use this for a few weeks to settle down my recent, out of the blue, flare up. After 2 days, I had yeast infections symptoms. That's not worth it for me. I read up on it, and it seems that even topical antibiotics are risky for digestive problems and candida. I am sticking to slower tea tree oil, clay masks, ACV, and finacea for red marks.

Pros:

~Works fast
~Reduces redness
~Reduces amount of acne
~Works on cystic acne

Cons:

~Doesn't prevent acne
~Very drying
~Cheap (generic brand)
~Never got rid of my acne completely

It worked well at getting rid of my acne quickly but in the long run i never had clear skin. I've used this stuff for 7 months and I'm still not clear. It usually get rids of pimples in about a week and even works well on the occasional cystic pimple BUT it never prevented anything. Its like bailing water from a sinking boat. I'm not getting anywhere. Idk what i could be doing wrong but i think I've given it a fair try. I'm going to try Dan's regimen and hope for the best.

Pros:

This works very well. gets rid of redness. it has helped after 3 weeks, not completely, but it has.

Cons:

dries skin out. makes skin peel. burns a little bit, but skin gets used to it.

my brother had very severe acne for about a year. he started using this and his skin is now perfectly clear! i never got much acne, but now it is all on my cheeks. so, hey, why not give it a try, right? if it worked for my brother then it can certainly work for me! so ive been using this for only about 3 weeks but it seems to be helping. its not totally clear but i have a good feeling that it will be soon if i keep using it.

Pros:

Works wonders - my skin hasn't been this clear since I was 12, very smooth skin

Cons:

A little drying, although if you pair it with a good moisturiser it's fine, did cause one bad reaction in the 1st week, although that was my fault - DO NOT APPLY ANYWHERE NEAR EYES! Basically the entire socket is a nono.

It's the first and last prescription acne cream I need!

Pros:

Works really well and really fast if the bacteria on your face are sensitive to clindamycin.

Cons:

Expensive. No side effects for me.

I'm 27. Horrible breakout in 2005. Struggled for months, finally saw a derma. Duac cleared it in less than a week. Used til March of 2009 and then neglected to get a refill. By July my face had exploded again and stayed that way til October when I finally saw my derma, got a new script for Duac, and my face cleared in 2 freaking days. Hate acne, but glad antibiotic cream keeps it at bay.

Pros:

first day of using it was fine...

Cons:

2nd day, my face started to itch!, it was swollen and red!...it feels like sand paper.

I couldnt stand the side effects! i mean 3 days and my face is still swollen, jus from a small application. i am on the 5% BP and 1.5 C. Its awful, wot a price to pay for beautiful skin. I cant continue it. I am African but light skinned.

Pros:

I was using Retin-a Micro and Duac cream at the same time, which really, really helped out my acne. I began just using the Duac during the day and Retin-a Micro at night. My skin was clear and healthy looking.

Cons:

Using both topical skin medications it can cause some skin irrations and dryness..But I used Ambi daily skin cream for the skin dryness and was fine

I would recommend this product to anyone who has had no hope or progress with other medication and this is not a game...This is a true story about this product it is worth what ever you may have to spend on the product...last use for me was tonight @ 10-25-09 @10:30pm.

Pros:

Get this!!! It took about 2 weeks, but my skin has finally cleared!!

Cons:

Dryness and occasional redness. You'll have to kind of police it, because it will REALLY dry out your skin, so if it gets too bad, lay off for a day and use lotion instead. Small price to pay for the end result. :)

I've been pretty fortunate... I had a short period during my teenage years where my acne was really bad, but for the most part I've had really nice/clear skin. Then it seems like the second I hit 30 my skin went CRAZY. I have no idea where it came from and I was HORRIFIED (no one warned me about this!!!). I tried everything (from the cheaper stuff you can get at Target to the department store brands) and nothing else worked. THIS WORKS! I hate writing reviews but I feel like I had to do this to help others... blemishes are the worst. :( Good luck, everyone!
