Pros:

seems to have cleared my acne quickly

Cons:

My whole face has come out in a bizarre rash, like tiny tiny bumps all over my face, skin feels weird, coarse and warm to the touch, slighly itchy =(

My chin has been prone to acne for years, so my doctor but me on Lymecycline oral tablets and gave me Duac gel. I first applied the gel over my whole face, as my whole face gets very oily and wanted to dry it out abit. BIG MISTAKE, the next day my skin was red and look very strange under a certain light, i looked closer and could see tons of tiny raised bumps all over my face!!! My skin was also abit itchy. I read in the leaflet redness and itching is normal, so i decided just to use the gel on my chin where i get the acne. Altough my chin is red, its free from acne spots... but i am now very self conscious of these tiny bumps on my face. I first applied the gel on sunday, its now tuesday. I am goin to discontinue the treatment until my skin returns to normal. I think this prodcut is very strong and not good for mild acne. I paid around £7.00. I think i'll go back to my doctore and ask for something less strong. Can anyone tell me if they've experience the same tiny rash like b

Pros:

works well to stop acne forming, and clear existing spots

Cons:

doesnt work so well in clearing up the red marks and scars left behind

i got bad acne at 15 and had it bad till i was 17ish. i went on the pill and it cleared up completely after a few months. this summer i decided to risk going of the pill as it wasnt great for my body (big mistake) within weeks it had all flared up again. the doc perscribed duac and since ive been using it i have had no other spots forming, and the existing raised spots calmed down and have not flared up again. it took a few weeks to get there, but now my face is smooth and not raised like it used to.the only problem is the red marks im left with not pleasnt. advice for girls, invest in a really good cleanser, i know it maybe expensive and more than the acne treatment itself but a clean face with makeup complelty removed helps the process more quickly. i use an estee lauder one myself and it takes all m makeup of perfectly. remember it takes time, eventually it will go so be pateint

Pros:

works fast, no intial bad breakouts from product, didn't dry me out

Cons:

My insurance does not cover the cost of this product so I pay $150 every 5-6 weeks to purchase this product and it is worth it!

I am 22 Female, caucasion with very fair skin. Rolling scars and hyperpigmentation. This is the only product in my having 10 years of acne that has ever stopped my breakouts and kept me clear. I would really recommend this if you have never used it before! Products I tried were Retin-A, differin, glycolic peels, dans regimen, and so many other I can't even remember. This product works for me and I hope it can help you! Now on to the scars.

Pros:

Clears up acne at a pretty fast rate. Helps with acne marks.

Cons:

Dries your skin too much.

It is a very good product, but dont put it everywhere. Since it is so strong you only put it on the problem areas(ur acne) not your whole face. If you put too much on it will be bad because it will just cause you to break out and it will not help you at all.

Too expensive for the results

Pros:

worked pretty well
very easy to use

Cons:

sometimes irritating
way too expensive for amount of results

I have acne and blackheads on face and back. I have no cystic acne. This product worked okay for me, but was not good enough for the expense. I used it for almost a year but am happier using another product that works better for me and is less costly by a lot.

Pros:

Worked AMAZINGLY on body acne, cleared my back up in a few days!
Can also work great on the face IF your skin isnt sensitive and is really oily and can replenish itself from the way Duac dries it out
Quick results
Doesn't smell
Doesnt decrease in effectiveness over time

Cons:

I found it extremely drying after a while, skin (on your face) becomes bright red and very sore and peeling, and you feel as if youve burned your skin with chemicals
Took my skin weeks to recover from it
Bleaches clothes
Definitely wouldn't recommend it for use on the face

its a total life saver for body acne, especially on the back and neck. Its also cheap and doesnt decrease in effectivness over time. But if you have sensitive skin it's way too harsh for use on the face, I still use it on my back but not on my face
