Pros:

Clears up skin.

Cons:

My skin is "tacky" looking, shiny, although not greasy. Quite a quagmire.

I use the Clean and Clear blotting papers on top of the Duac after 4-5 hours but then I still have to wash my face after another hour. I have very oily skin. I think it does reduce cysts though.

Pros:

it does help to clear up new pimples that form really quicky...usually about a day or two

Cons:

makes your skin really dry. it doesnt help existing acne at all, just treats the new pimples.

ive had acne in my cheeks since i was 12, and now im 16 years old and sick of it... my doctor prescribed this medicine about a year ago and at first i was excited cause i read great reviews. ive come to realize this medicine only works on people that have very very mild acne, if you even call that acne. Before bed i wash my face with dove soap beauty bar, then apply lancome face lotion, then apply benzaclin. i think my skin has just become immune to it...soon im gonna start using benzamycin because ive heard such great reviews about it. bottom line is benzaclin does NOT work as well as it is supposed to, if u want a drastic change dont use it!!!!!!

Pros:

It works. When I first started using this I saw results in in only a few days (2-3). Full results after 2 weeks. I use this in conjunction to Retin A.

Cons:

It SEVERELY dries out my skin.

Because the use of Retin A makes my skin sooo sensitive, the drying effects of the Benzaclin has become almost intolerable on most days. I hate to have to give it up because I know it works but the burning and flaking has to go. My derm. suggested Duac, which is basically the same thing but said that the drying wouldn't be AS severe. I'm on my way out to go pick it up. I'm crossing my fingers that it will do as good a job as Benzaclin did for me.

Pros:

worked amazingly
i have really sensitive skin
but it didnt burn it nor make it turn red(:

Cons:

it does dry out a tad but not really for me

get it get it get it it's the best stuff you will ever buy but just make sure to get samples first that way you know that if it burns then you should try something else:)

Pros:

My face is smooth and when I tough it I feel skin, not just annoying bumps everywhere. My skin tone has improved and there have been days where I didn't even put on base with the rest of my make up and went out in public! Something I would never done

Cons:

My skin got a little drier, but I have naturally oily skin so I don't really have to worry about peeling. just a light moisturizer. THat's the only con to this product.

Iv'e used Pro-activ and have lived through basically every disapointing product out there. I went to this site and read about how benzoil peroxide works and decided to see a dermatologist. He perscribed me benzaclin along with an oral antibiotic and my confidence has improved a thousand fold. I wake up in the moning and actually debate on whether I feel ilike wearing base. Bottom line, this product is amazing and I would recomend it to everyone!

Pros:

Fragrance free, feels cool on your skin, i like the tubular shape lol

Cons:

doesn't really spread on evenly, dries the hell out of my skin- ashyness isn't cute on brown skin, NOT TO MENTION IT'S EXPENSIVE AS HELL!

I guess the product is pretty good, but i can't tell using all the other meds. cuz i'm also using tazorac and i'm suppose to use a breoxyl creamy wash,(i know i spelled it wrong, but too lazy to get the bottle)but switched to cetaphil since the instruc. sayS wash with non-mdeicated cleanser. And it sucks cuz i seem like the only idiot who paid 175.99 for it. Mann Medicad sucks! But then again my ma paid for it lol!

Pros:

Shrinks my acne, takes redness away after a few applications

Cons:

I have dermitidous so finding an acne medicine is hard. I have really dry skin that is always breaking out, with benzaclin it makes me EVEN more dry but it does help the acne

It does work well. I only get bad breakouts about once a month. If you are a person with sensitive skin then just be careful with how much you use. Def. need to use some moisturizer. I've been on this stuff forever and compared to the other acne medications I've used, this one works the best.

Pros:

Works very well for clearing acne. Cleared skin within two days with minor flare up on first day

Cons:

My face got so red and dry and itchy. After about 6 days of using it i had to stop because it was bothering me so much.

I would not reccomend this product for people whos skin is irritated by benzoyl peroxide (bp) if you dont have problems with bp then this is definately for you! :) (price is assumed, insurance pays most of the $160, i think i pay about 20)

Pros:

Works well and got rid of my mild/moderate acne.

Cons:

Didn't completely get everything gone. I still had the occasional break out which kind of sucked. It didn't get rid of the acne any faster than normal otc products either.

It works, but it isn't a permanent or total solution. My skin cleared up but it wasn't incredibly fast or totally clear. My forehead and chin would still break out, but that might have been from where my lacrosse helmet was touching my face. After a few years the effects wore off and I started to break out again.
