Pros:

Cleans pretty well

Cons:

Doesn't lather very well

This product does its job! I feel like it dries out my face somewhat, but that's what moisturizer is for. My only complaint is that it doesn't lather very well. I started using it to shave which is recommended in the regimen, but it is a little more watery than I'd like.

Pros:

Inexpensive
Cleans Skin
Non-abrasive
Doesn't irritate skin

Cons:

Doesn't foam extremely well
Doesn't remove makeup too well

I like the cleanser, it gets the job done, but it isn't my favorite cleanser in the world and I have to remove my makeup separately which I'd rather not do. But I love acne.org and these products have been miraculous and have cleared up my acne COMPLETELY! Five months clear here!

Pros:

gentle.
good for sensitive skin.
no smell.
doesn't sting.
foamy.

Cons:

doesn't take off makeup.
bigger bottles.

been on the DKR for about 3 weeks now, and my face is still adjusting. so far I like the cleanser i like how gentle it is, and it doesn't leave my face tight or dry like some others do. the only thing I don't like is that it doesn't take off my makeup. I hardly wear makeup and when I do it's a light powder cover up. Today I washed my face with the DKR cleanser and patted dried my face and noticed that there was makeup still left on the towel. also I think the bottles need to be bigger for the price of the DKR and shipping.

Pros:

economic, only takes a little, cuts through layers and layer of gels
only takes 10 secs

Cons:

drying
Not exfoliating, a lot of dead skin cells rub on my paper towel when I dry.

I only need about a quarter of a pump to wash my face. Hence, a bottle can last months. More than that, and it's too drying for my skin. It's the shortest step of the regimen. I rub vigorously in my palms to lather, rub on for 10 secs than rinse. I pat dry. If you use the AHA or BP you'll find dead skin sloughing off. These products lift them off but the cleanser doesn't remove them from my face. And they need to be removed to really show the radiate clear skin underneath.

Pros:

Prepares skin for Benzoyl Peroxide
Can use as Shampoo also
Unlike most gentle cleansers, makes skin FEEL clean.

Cons:

After I wash my face with this it makes me VERY pale.

I have dark skin because I am biracial (mom is black, dad is white) Although I LOVE the cleanser, I notice that with my type of skin it seems to make me look very white and pale afterwards, I even follow the 10 second rule and make sure to pat dry only. I don't know if this is normal for people of color when they use this, but sometimes I am so pale from it that people around the house worry that I am sick. My color seems to come back after I apply the Benzoyl Peroxide and the Moisturizer (all Dan's). and that is the ONLY reason I didn't give this the extra star is because of how pale it makes me. However it is MUCH better than Cetaphil's Gentle Cleanser. I reccomend this (if your not on the regimen and just looking for a good cleanser) to people with caucasian skin

Pros:

Gentle, scent free

Cons:

None to speak of

I think this is a good product overall. Not sure how much impact it has had on clearing my acne, and I would guess that any other gently cleanser would work just as well. Overall, it's an inexpensive cleanser and keeps my skin clean.

Pros:

Cleans like it says it will, doesn't irritate the skin, doesn't contain fragrance or other comedogenic ingredients like many cleansers out there.

Cons:

It's a little drying, so use with a moisturizer or moisturizing oil.

Really like this cleanser, love the ingredients and the cost, but four smilies only because I can find other cleansers I like almost as much as this one (which isn't true of the other two regimen products made by Dan).

Pros:

cleans well, removes dirt and grime, nice and foamy, excellent for shaving, scentless, and makes your face feel clean and refreshed

Cons:

a bit too drying for my skin, really dries out the area around my eyes (had to buy an eye cream and serum to keep it from flaking) i also looked pretty ragged and aged with only a week of use, and i was quite happy until someone pointed out that my eyes looked incredibly worn out that i noticed and really looked in the mirror. i switched to cetaphil's gentle cleanser, and it has kept my skin much less dry before applying a moisturizer.

for me, it was good at cleaning out everything but much too dry. i would recommend it to people with oily skin, but for me it was much too drying and when combined with BP and the moisturizer (not powerful enough if used with this) it compounded the effects and left my skin extra extra dry and really made my eye area uncomfortably dry. i only recommend this for people who have oily skin and need something stronger than cetaphil's gentle cleanser to clean with, because cetaphil's cleanser is recommended by my dermotologist/uncle, and really it does as little damage as possible to your skin and frankly not everyone can take a cleanser this dry, so it really depends on how your previous experience with cleansers have been. if you normally gravitate towards gentle cleansers in drugstores, then definitely try cetaphil's cleanser. if your skin is ok with stronger cleansers, give this a try, it's great value for a good product. i just wasn't part of the demographic this product was made for. i do love a lot of the other acne.org products though. 4 smiley potatoes only because it wasn't as perfect as the other products. i would give 4.9 smiley potatoes if i could.

Pros:

Cleans thoroughly, can order the big bottle so you have a lot to use if its as a body wash

Cons:

It's a little to harsh on the body, maybe face too? I'm really confused about how my face reacts to certain washes, but it isn't as noticeably harsh on the face as it is on the body for me at least.

So this is what i noticed about the regime cleanser. As a body wash it is too harsh so it irritates my skin, thus causing breakouts. SO i found the solution. Cut the cleanser out on the body, use something really gentle (for me it's DOVE SENSITIVE SKIN). I use that on the body, the same way i would with Dan's cleanser. Then i use Dan's BP and AHA after, and my body break outs (chest and back) have reduced SIGNIFICANTLY, it's effing AWESOME. I highly recommend this approach for body acne. SERIOUSLY... Nothing else has ever worked on my body acne until now, you guys should definitely try this out if you're suffering body acne!
