Pros:

Smooth on face

Cons:

No difference to Cetaphil

I won't be purchasing here again.Im so stunned by the custom fee i had to pay. 26dollars CND! +22 dollar usd shipping+37.00 for the set. :S Im an avid buyer on EBAY and shipping expensive here for something that weighs that much thru UPS. Buy Cetaphil at drug stores if you are living in Canada. It's less expensive to buy 14OZ CETAPHIL,8 tubes of 1oz 2.5% or 5% BP gel and 2 4oz of Aveeno or Cetaphil moisturizer +GST/PST than purchasing the entire set here. Works just as well. I have sensitive skin and using BP gel created more acne on my very mild acne face. $22 is division from $88 dollars i spent on 4items.

Pros:

Works great, huge size, easy to dispense, cheap (for the size).

Cons:

Takes a lot of rinsing to get it all off. Expensive to ship by itself (cheaper if you pick up a couple of Dan's BP Gel tubes at the same time).

Has worked wonderfully for me once I figured out how to rinse it off without irritating my skin. I use 1 1/2 pumps, lather it up on both hands, and then splash a bit of water on one hand to thin the stuff out, lather more, and apply. The best way to rinse I've found is indirectly. Just let the water run down your head and (extremely gently!) rub a your face with just the slightest touch of your fingers and palm. After a few seconds you'll feel your face go from slick to definitivly squeaky clean. Repeat for any places your gentle touch doesn't get the first time (around nose, under jaw, edges of face, etc.), remembering to just *barely* touch. I use Dan's Gel and Oil Of Olay Sensitive Moisture Therapy. After a few months of ramping up the BP, my acne is practically completely gone.

Good

I and my whole family love this cleanser, it is suitable for my and my brother's combination skin, my sister's normal skin and my mom's sensitive skin. Highly recommended.

Pros:

Light fragrance

Cons:

Glorified baby shampoo/wash. Lathers/foams up too much thus removing all oil from your skin leaving it dry and exposed.

Look at the ingredients of Johnson & Johnson Baby wash. The major ingredients (although in different proportions) are same. This cleanser suds up too much, thus emulsifying all the fats and oils on your skin and completely removing the skin's natural protective barriers. Although cetaphil doesn't foam up at all and doesn't actually clean your skin. I recommend something between these two extremes. Philosophy purity made simple is the best I have found so far.

Pros:

Very gentle.

Cons:

Didn't clean well enough for me.

After three weeks or so of twice daily use, I realized my skin was looking more and more congested. So, I tried using toner after this cleanser and immediately realized that this cleanser just wasn't getting my skin very clean. I guess my mineral makeup and oily skin were too much for such a gentle cleanser. I switched back to my former cleanser (Olay foaming face wash for sensitive skin) and my skin was in much better condition within a week. I'm sure this cleanser is great for others, but it wasn't right for me.

Pros:

Lathers well, cleans very well, doesn't seem to have any ingredients that make me break out.

Cons:

Over drying.

Its a great cleanser other than the fact that its over drying. BP never used to make my face peel like this alone and switching to this cleanser made my face become like a war zone which needed moisturizer and a lot of it. It might be good for a lot of peoples skin with oily skin, but my skin is for the most part not too oily until the end of the day and if it was just a little less drying this cleanser would be perfect. I say try it, and if you experience severe flaking and peeling, switch to something else.

Pros:

- Big Bottle
- Good lather
- Dispenses easily

Cons:

- Residue is hard to rinse off, especially with soft water

It's affordable and works okay, but as soon as this huge bottle runs out (which will probably take years), I'm switching back to Neutrogena Extra Gentle.

Pros:

It was better than I though it would.

Cons:

smells weird. *No Fragrance* Which is cool.

Try it!

Pros:

A lot for your money, lathers well, gets the job done and doesn't dry out my skin.

Cons:

Very bulky bottle.

This is a good product, comparable to Cetaphil, works wonderful. I love how you get a lot for the money you pay, 16 oz is huge, but the bottle is definitely bulky, so I pour some into my old Cetaphil bottle because Dan's cleanser is too big to sit on my sink (I don't have a counter). I would definitely buy again, it is such a gentle cleanser and one of the best I have used. It is nothing spectacular, but it does what it says.

Pros:

Very gentle, perfume and colour free, no harsh chemicals

Cons:

None really

My store bought cleanser- 'Simple' refreshing wash is probably better for my skin and has a very similar composition as the acne.org cleanser.
