Pros:

I've tired tons and tons of face cleansers, I don't have acne, but I do get pimples and this is the only product that actually works. Yeah I still get pimples from time to time, however my face is clear most of the time.

Cons:

It's kind of pricey, however lasts for a couple months so I guess it's worth it in the end.

Spector gel really works!! Would highly recommend it.

Pros:

very gentle, non-irritating, doesn't dry out skin, makes skin look healthier and soft, reduces redness

Cons:

the smell was bad the first few times, but didn't take long to get used to it

I'm using the blemish prone fragrance free one (purple label) and it's only been 3 days. I think from using so many different products before this (ivory bar soap, dove bar soap, cetaphil, arbonne, proactiv, st.ives apricot scrub, even antibiotics -minocycline) my skin needs a lot of repair work! especially after using the apricot scrub which destroyed my skin to what I thought would never be repaired again. so far I've noticed a decrease in redness, swelling and my skin overall feels lighter and healthier. even the pimples that were so deep in my skin for weeks finally came to the surface which to me is a good thing! it says to me that this cleanser actually cleans out the impurities!! a lot of people have been saying that it doesn't wash away makeup but I've had no issues with that. I just use an extra squirt of the cleanser and spend a few extra minutes rubbing it in and my face comes out free of makeup. I'm very hopeful that this product will work for me....the key is to keep using it. I'm the type of person that if I don't see results immediately, I switch products which in hindsight only makes the acne worse. try it...it won't hurt!

Pros:

Keeps skin moisture
works

Cons:

If you care at all, it doesn't have those nice smells like some brands

For acne like mine (not too severe, but very persistent), I would recommend trying Spectro (for at least a month). It beat out all the other 20+ products I tried (from the expensive like Vichy to regular Neutrogena or St. Ives stuff). Although the gel feels a bit strange at first, it doesn't dry out your skin and it cleanses it thoroughly. However, this product really worked best when I used it along with the Spectro AcneCare Pore Vanishing Lotion (which is 5% benzoyl peroxide lotion)

Pros:

very gentle
scent free
affordable
easy to find (in Canada)
lasts
can get in large quantity from Price Club

Cons:

Doesn't foam, but not a big deal.

I've tried many other cleansers - most recently Neutrogena extra gentle cleanser and it wasn't near as good as Spectro Jel. Love it.

Great gentle base for topicals
I used Spectro when I was a teenager and didn't like how it didn't foam or make my skin feel squeaky clean, so I stopped using it. In my twenties, my acne became terrible (inflamed pustules all over my face) after antibiotic use. I started using Spectro again (the purple one) after a pharmacist told me to cleanse with it when I was prescribed a harsh topical. It was great at calming my skin down after I had scrubbed my skin to the point of inflammation and irritated my face by trying a different cleanser every week. I'm not sure how good it is at clearing pimples on its own, but I definitely don't think it makes them worse because of how much gentler it is than other medicated cleansers. For me, it didn't make my skin extremely clean because my pores were still clogged, but as long as they didn't turn into pimples I was happy. Make sure to massage it in circles on your face for a good 20 seconds. I think it works best when I do this in a warm shower, when my pores are more open. I didn't like it when I was younger, but I guess it takes some getting used to! In short, Spectro is great for giving your skin a break from the harsher cleansers, especially if you're using a topical.

Love it
I never had acne up until I was about 15 I'm 18 now and the acne is still here. I started using spectro when I was around 16 and it's worked wonders. it keeps my skin soft, it doesn't irritate sensitive skin, and it clears you up. only thing it doesn't do is clear up breakouts as fast as other products

Pros:

Keeps oily skin to a minimum, without drying it out.Clears up skinMakes skin smooth

Cons:

Horrible smell, but after a few uses I got used to it.

I have had some pretty bad acne for about 5 years and all other products have just made it worse. I used to only get big pimples and then I wouldn't be able to stop touching them and then they would get infected, but with spectrojel if I have a breakout it is small and not noticeable. I am even confident enough with this product to skip washing my face a couple times a week(I wash in the morning and before I go to bed). I also have very oily skin, and after using it just once I noticed a big difference. It is also evening out all the scars I have from acne. This is by-far the best product I have ever used.

No Frills No Gimmicks Cleanser
The spectro gel cleansers is as its name suggests a gel like cleanser that is very mild. It can be applied on a damp or dry face and cleanse very well on either. There's no after film feeling like some cleansers make your skin feel. The pumping mechanism makes it easy to apply the gel. This is dermatologically tested and its safe to use. I highly recommend any of the spectro gel line of products
