Pros:

Reduce redness and swelling

Cons:

Leaves skin rather dry

huge red spot on end of nose that was still under the skin. Dont suffer from acne that bad so this one really stood out. dabbed some on and the redness greatly reduced.

Pros:

Dries up pimples,leaves skin smooth/soft

Cons:

Pinkish tone-only wear at night OR you could use a thin thin layer on oily spots under your make up to keep the shine away

I started getting acne a year ago, when I was 13. Sure I havent had it all my life like some people but acne is acne, no body wants it on their face. I put this stuff on my entire face as a mask, and if it starts to get a little dry, I just do spot treatment. You put it on at night and you wake up and it's clear clear clear. :D I recently started using this at night for spot treatments and milk of magnesia during the day under my makeup to control shine/oily-ness. Calamine works great, so I'd go get yourself some!

Pros:

Simply put: It clears up zits! I dab some on individual spots that come up and it dries them out without irritating my skin.

Cons:

Can only use it at night due to the pink tone.

Try this, it really does work!

Pros:

cheap, readily available

Cons:

drying, unattractive

I had a freak break out over 80% of my face this time last year and used calamine lotion every night for several night to heal it. the same exact thing happened this spring too so I have begun the same regimine. It burns a bit but it works fast. It's drying so definitely use a moisturizer the following morning. I just applied with my finger to the active areas and allowed to sit all night while I slept and washed off with a baking soda scrub in the morning then moisturized really well.

magical pink powder

I've been suffering from cystic acne since my teenage years and spent so much money on acne products, now I feel like a fool cause this product saved me singlehandedly. I bought organic calamine powder from a local organic store and make my own toner.

Just put 1-2 tablespoons of calamine powder, 1 tablespoon of vegetable glycerin (NOW Foods) and some 50ml of water, mix them and tada! Takes seconds to make and it lasts for two weeks in the refrigerator. I prefer this to store bought ones since it's SO cheap (3 pounds for 100g of powder) and doesn't have all the nasty ingredients you'd find outside. I use it before La Roche Posay Toleriane Riche Mosturiser and my skin has honestly never been clearer. My redness is gone and my existing cystic acne heals much faster than before. Hope this helps!

GOOD

This is so great! I used to use Mario b. drying lotion..but it has alcohol in it and it smells pretty foul. It draws the pus (I KNOW GROSS) to the surface while gently drying them out.

I am amazed
I have oily skin with hormonal cystic acne plus frequent persistent chin zits that start off small but grow over time. This is so annoying, because while SA has really done a great job of controlling my deep cysts, the little ones seem impervious to SA and BP. That is until I added calamine lotion as a final step one night out of desperation. Having read here that it worked for many, I figured I had nothing to lose. I was pleasantly surprised at the mattifying effect it has on my oily skin, and my small pimples shrank to almost nothing by morning. Amazed, but cautious it might have been a fluke, I put the calamine away for a week. Soon enough, those persistent pimples developed again, and I again applied calamine overnight. The next morning they were gone! While this might not work for everyone, it has worked wonders for my problem skin. I only use enough to cover the blemishes. I do not put it on thickly.

Oh my GOODNESS SO GOOD
I'm someone who spends A LOT of money of serums and now I feel dumb because out of everything this has worked the best. This literally worked overnight for me. I kept seeing this on Instagram to use for acne scars so I thought, "why not" and wasn't expecting much and put it on before bed. I woke up the next day and could visibly see that the scars had faded. I'm absolutely stunned. So glad I tried it. I love it and couldn't be happier.
