Pros:

Blends in well
Covers acne amazingly if applied correctly
Doesn't seem to make me break out more
Lasts forever

Cons:

Sometimes gives you a shiny forehead/cheeks

I've used many-a-concealer, foundation, etc before but I have definitely found my forever-makeup. I've been using this stuff now for about 2 years and it is amazing once you know how to apply it. In all honestly I started out as a makeup idiot, but after a lot of trial and error with this stuff and buying the correct items, my face looks flawless after using this regardless of the amount of acne I have. I work outside a lot for my job and like to look like I'm not wearing makeup, but want to cover up bouts of acne. This stuff does its job at staying on all day and looking natural. I use the primer for people with oily skin, the regular foundation, and original concealer regularly. I've tried the matte concealer, but it seems to leave more of a sweaty-looking shine on my face so I went back to the original. I also occasionally use their bronzer and blush, which blends in nicely, though the blush sometimes blends in TOO well and you can't tell its there. Just keep the brushes clean and dont try to use the concealer as foundation, because it will look streaky and unnatural. The price may look daunting, but one concealer lasts me more than half a year, using it non-sparingly every day.

Pros:

- Great Coverage
- Doesn't breakout my acne-prone skin
- Natural matte look
- light feel
- does not make me shiny
- The Kit is a awesome deal (Includes cover-up, foundation, mineral veil and three brushes)

Cons:

- Initially messy

The bottom line is I love this make-up! If you like the clear appearance foundation can give you but hate the actually feel of make-up, this product is perfect. I'm a medium-dark african american, with and olive based skin tone. I am very impressed by it's coverage of my blemishes caused by acne, without giving me a red or dusty appearance. I purchased the kit with the matte foundation, and the foundation primer. Don't be intimidate by the recommended steps for applying the make-up, with a couple of days practice it take about 5 min's! It can be slightly messy so I place a designated hand towel under the containers to protect my counter when applying. Other's think my skin is naturally clear, and can't tell it's make-up. After 10 years of acne and dark spots, I have found the perfect make-up, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

A must have
Bare minerals products are basically the core of my make up arsenal. When my skin is clear, I can get away with just wearing the mineral veil. If I get a breakout, I bust out my blemish remedy mineral powder. My favorite though is their blemish remedy spot treatment/concealer. I buy that stuff on the regular.

Pros:

Amazing coverage (with their brushes)
Looks natural
Lasts a long time
Skin-friendly

Cons:

Needs to be reapplied
Somewhat expensive

It's definitely worth buying, but buy the MATTE version of it. The matte version gives thicker coverage yet it still looks flawless. Its better to do the swirl-tap-buff method for the most natural look, but you could have great results without doing it as well. The matte formula covers so nicely. It may look cakey and dry at first, but the natural oils in your skin mix in with the makeup and create a beautiful, flawless finish to your skin(it looks natural and great) :) I bought all of my brushes and powders in a starter kit for $50 in November, and I still have most of the powders left; I bought the mineral foundation for $28 though. This stuff is amazing!

Love !!
I used to use this product everyday then I stopped so I could experiment with liquid foundation. I couldn't find a liquid foundation that worked with my skin and didn't clog my pores so now I'm back to using this product!! I love to a lot, it just doesn't give me the coverage I'm looking for. If your looking for a full coverage foundation this is defiantly not for you. But if your looking for a lightweight natural look I definitely recommend this product. Also if you suffer from acne or clogged pores this product is worth trying out.

Pros:

THESE ARE ALL FOR THE MATTE VERSION:
Not greasy or oily
No shine
No bismuth - doesn't itch or cause acne
Great shade range
Covers well
Lasts forever
Clicking lid keeps it neat

Cons:

Price
Have to clean brushes regularly
Can settle into fine lines if you don't moisturize
Won't look great if you don't have flakes under control

The MATTE version is great makeup for the acne prone. It is easy to cover up just your active pimples or the whole face if you want. At night, I use this just on any red pimples so that I don't scare my husband or kids; I do a full-face application during the day. Lots of shades and places to try them so no excuse to not have a perfect match. I do NOT like the full-coverage kabuki-style brushes as they make it go on too heavy, but you may like that if your skin is worse than mine. Definitely get a concealer brush to add more coverage to big pimples. You can skip the separate concealer and everything else that they try to sell you on. To be clear, the MATTE version has no bismuth and is not irritating. I have tried their primer and it works well, but I find that just my sunscreen is fine as a primer.

Best I've tried so far.
I've been using bare minerals for years. There was one day I forgot to buy a new one and I had to buy something random from there drugstore, and you can definitely tell the difference. When I first got acne as a teen i would use mac, covergirl, or something i'd try at the drugstore. I always felt it made my skin worse. When I switched to bare minerals I could feel a difference because it didn't feel so caked on my skin, and it didn't seem like it was clogging my pores and in turn making my acne worse. If my acne get worse it's usually from other factors and not this make-up (i've been using it for years so that's what i'm assuming). The only time it has a cake-y look or feel is when my skin is just dry due to me trying to control a breakout with products or a change in regimen. If you want something that's light weight and controls redness (it really does a GREAT job at that!!!) try this.

great for oily acne prone skin.
I have acne prone skin and have suffered for years until i used bare minerals. The only gripe i have is that the coverage is very light but the more i use it the less breakouts i get so the coverage at that stage doesnt overly matter. Iv tried other makeup and end up reverting back to bare minerals. I recently bought estee lauder double wear which gives awesome coverage but again iv got a face full of spots :-( bare minerals all the way for me!!
