Pros:

Super cheap and more effective than expensive masks. Easy to make.

Cons:

It's gritty. Be careful washing it off your face so as not to irritate any acne blemishes. It tends to flake off as it dries, maybe combine with a binder (honey?) to help prevent this.

I love using the asprin mask. It really made a difference for my skin. Its so affordable you can mix up a mask a couple times a week and not worry about it! You could also try dissolving an asprin in some toner, or in your face wash to use it everyday!

Pros:

smooth skin...

Cons:

you have to make sure to mix it with something so it applies smoothly

I used hydrogen peroxide as a spot treatment for 3 days until the pimples came to a head and then i used a mixture one morning of 4 asprin, a bit of honey and a bit of aloe vera gel...it was clearned up by the end of the day. :)

Pros:

It gives my skin a certain glow, particularly when used with raw honey.

Cons:

It's somewhat messy.

I find it does an excellent job of preventing a new pimple from getting larger and of clearing up blackheads. But, as others have said, it's definitely not a miracle cure. It helps. Try it.

Pros:

reduces redness

Cons:

can't wear it all day - lol

Hurrah for aspirin! ok so I accidently went a bit mad the other day and layered a sopt with globs of bp followed by salycylic acid. Result = vey bad. the spot, surrounding skin went all dark red. could not even cover it with makeup and something was still there lurking under the skin. then i read on dan's site that you should never mix the two products together (doh). step in my aspirin hero.... I washed off the pink coating mixed a drop of water in an ickle bowl and dabbed it on. it dried pretty fast and I just left it on all night. next morning - reddness had gone way down - hurrah. am continuing to use it and hopefully the spot will just "fall off". miracles can happen (fingers crossed)

Pros:

makes skin extremely soft, your skin glows when taking it off, doubles as an exfoliating scrub when rinsing it off, reduces redness. reasonable price.

Cons:

none that i can think of right now.

I have suffered from acne since i was 12, I am 18 now and I have tried anything from laser acne treatmens, microdermabrasions, chemical peels, proactive, retin-a, benzaclin, just everything, and I have spent a lot of money on those too. THIS REALLY WORKS. I was skeptical at first but now that i tried it, i'm satisfied. My skin feels softer, and it looks brighter. I've only used it once so I have not seen scarring fade away yet. This is how I prepared mine: I took about 10-15 coated asipirins (works the same as uncoated) and half a teaspoon of water. I let the water dissolve the aspirin in to a thick but smooth consistancy, and I added a little squirt of my favorite mouisturizer, which is from Bellederm. remember ADD THE WATER BEFORE CRUSHING. It makes it so much easier to crush. The just spread all over your face, and if done correctly, it wont flake away, it simply stays in place. Then, exfoliate when washing off after 30 minutes. Hope this helps you!

Pros:

Cheap
Good for shaving rashes and spots
Helps reduce redness of spots

Cons:

Messy
Makes Skin rather tight during use. (more of a con that pro to me)

I got the dispersible aspirin for like 29p. Cheap brand does the job just as well. Perfect for helping with shaving spots along with a good shaving oil or cream.

Pros:

cheap- even in australia, $5 for 112 pills, and that was from chemmart!

Cons:

not AS great as everyone here has said it to be so far

just did it 2 mins ago only on my chin. i broke out a few weeks ago and have really large ones on chin only (rest of face clear) that go really deep but also some small normal ones. the smaller ones- reduced in size dramatically (matter of minutes!) but redness still there. large ones- still there, not sure if they have become smaller, but i will update if it does tomorrow morning. overall, redness still there, but size reduced by HEAPS seriously. this works if you guys have those surface acne or lots of blackheads. what I did: washed face with clinique mild liquid facial soap applied mask (3 100 mg aspirins and a little bit of honey and water) waited 15 minutes then exfoliated mask rinsed with warm water andf inished with cool water, towel dry astringent (mild- aloe and vitamin e), then used clearisil spot clearing cream and finished off with gariner pure a anti imperfections daily moisturiser hope this helps- i say try it, i just checked again and it looks SMALLER

Pros:

really cheap, really effective

Cons:

a little messy

i tried the aspirin mask out because i had tried several different facewashes without success, as well as even prescribed medication. i found that the mask has worked fantastically. i do it about three times a week. and it's been about two weeks since i started, and the majority of my acne is gone. highly recommend this. but don't over do it, especially around sensitive regions. cuz i did experience some dry skin under the nose.
