Miracle worker. Wish I knew about this 20 yrs ago
I'll have to try the honey part. I've used plain crushed asprins & water for spot treatments. Works wonders. Redness & swelling disappears like magic. Aspirin has sylic acid in it, not sure if the other otc pain relives do.

I love it for overnight spot treatment
This is honestly great for upcoming big breakouts, or pimples that may be really red or painful. My birthday was the other day and about 5 days before I felt a painful pimple on my cheek coming up. I used this mask on it before it came to a head, and everyday just on the pimple and within the 5 days it came, formed on my face, and left. The aspirin helped it to not be painful to the touch, and it also dried out the pimple and it was flat and pretty much completely gone by the time as my birthday came. I love this stuff. I usually just use one pill and like a couple of drops of water just so i can crush it into a slight paste for spot treatment overnight. Or if I feel like it I may mix about 7 aspirin with water or an oil and apply it as a full mask.

I am blown away by the effectiveness of this - I just discovered the aspirin mask on this forum last night during my desperate search that has now lasted almost 2 weeks. I have always had clear, awesome skin and then all of the sudden, out of nowhere I got a few pimples on my chin, off to the side, beneath my lip and to the side of my mouth - so of course I picked and tried to pop them and they turned into scabs and then MORE, smaller pimples showed up so .... I messed with those too.... anyways, I ended up with some serious nasty redness, scabs, dryness grossness that makeup wouldn't really cover - I tried everything - Finally Aloe Vera and taking French Green Clay supplements started helping with the redness and pimples and the scabs started to shrink but I was still mortified to even go out to the store - SO this afternoon I mixed about 4 crushed up aspirins with Polysporin gel, Aloe Vera Moisturizing Gel and Aloe straight from the plant and rubbed it all over the area in question - Maybe 4 hours later I washed it off, patted it dry and while the pimples are still there, they have shrunk dramatically, the scabs are gone and my skin is all one color...no red...no dry patches, no scarring or dark marks and only two of the pimples are still on the large side BUT those came to a perfect head which I will WILL myself to leave alone and let them work themselves out. I am so impressed, I can't wait to do it again tonight lol

Pros:
This face mask reduces pimples, redness, black heads, white heads, and irritation.
Cons:
Dries out skin slightly.
This is an excellent face mask. I used it all over my body and it worked. The only thing I would recommend is that you use your regular face wash immediately after.

Pros:
Its cheap and easy
Cons:
None
I had a big boiler on my chin. So like most people I decided to perform surgery. It made it completely worse it was inflamed and even bigger than before. I read about using crushed up aspirin. It worked great.
-Took 1 uncoated aspirin crushed it up to a powder then added a little witch hazel (can get at a pharmacy) Cheap as well.
- Will probably be gritty
-Applied to affected area left on for a couple of hours, then rinsed with cold water to close the pore, and it was gone.

Pros:
Reduces redness, exfoliates skin, gets rid off dead skin fast, makes your acne bumps less noticeable, helps the swelling, and takes away the scars.
Cons:
Dangerous cause my pets try to lick my face :) lol that's it.
NOTHING NOTHING has worked for my acne but this! I know it will not work on everyone, but I went to many people and bought a lot of face products that didn't work and only burned my pimple and made it red and a lot worse. When I heard of this I tried it and it's been working wonders. I love it and it's very inexpensive. I use it a lot on my chin, pimples on your chin are hard to get rid of b/c they are hormonal, but this is the only thing that has worked for me. I've been using it everyday & make a mask once a week.

Cons:
i don't know any other than it's messy.
I have extremely oily skin and have scars all over my face. I used to get horrible acne all the time and I was so depressed about it. I've been using proactive since I was 15 and that's never done anything drastic. I'm 19 years old now, and I heard about the aspirin mask and I decided to try it out. I have been using it for 5 months now and my skin has done a total 360. My mask consists of 4 aspirins, Calamine lotion ( a couple drops and the aspirins dissolve without water) and a drop of honey. This may not be the best idea for everyone, but my skin is so oily, my skin VERY VERY rarely ever gets dry, but I put the mask on before I go to bed every night. It gets on my pillow but It doesn't bother me because when I wake up my skin looks better than the night before. I also put one on in the mourning and leave it on for 10 minutes. Again, this shouldn't be done by anyone though because it could dry your skin bad. Definitely try my mask with the calamine lotion and honey. It does wonders!

Pros:
Incredibly cheap, convenient, and most importantly EFFECTIVE.
Cons:
Can be drying.
This really works. As in, like nothing I have used. Retin-A, Retin-A Micro, Differin, Tazorac, Clindamycin, Finacea, ProActiv, Murad, Clean & Clear, Minocycline, Clinique.. the list goes on. The aspirin mask is so ridiculously simple. It irritates me that I hadn't tried it sooner! I take 4 uncoated aspirin, a splash of rosewater toner, and a bit of honey and spread it all over my face. I leave it for about 15-20 minutes. All of the whiteheads, blackheads, and cysts are gone. I used to have the kind of acne where makeup couldn't cover it because it was just downright bumpy.. not the case anymore. The results are immediate. For some reason I didn't get nearly as good results with just aspirin- the honey is very important.

Pros:
- Aspirin has the natural form of salicylic acid, a potent acne fighter
- can be used as a face scrub!
Cons:
- messy & tedious to make
There are many ways of making an aspirin face mask, my 'recipe' includes crushing 5-6 lightly coated pills with the end of a chopstick in a tiny dish with a few drops of green tea (better than water, & helps the aspirin dissolves faster) and after that adding a few drops of natural honey (helps soothe the skin and acts as a glue to keep the aspirin powder from falling off when its dried) I use this 2-3 times a day, sometimes more, sometimes less depending on how much I need it. I leave it on for 20-30 minutes, then rinse off and during the rinsing process I scrub the powder against my skin for natural exfoliation. I don't reccomend doing this every single day since over scrubbing can dry the skin which leads to the sebaceous glands to produce more oil, leading to more acne. This treatment leaves my face feeling fresh and soft, and in the long-run helps keep acne at bay.
