Pros:

Only thing that works!!!

Cons:

None, except flakes off and makes you sneeze

My skin literally cleared up in a day. My pores are smaller and my skin just looks cleaner. I have only tried aspirin and water. I only had moderate problems with my skin, but I had tried other products, including prescriptions and nothing has worked as well as this. Also, I have really sensitive skin and I have had no problems with irritation.

Pros:

It's cheap. It's effective. I am a big fan. After years of spending $$$ on skin care products it's so refreshing to find something this good that's dirt cheap. Yay!!

Cons:

I think I need to buy a mortar & pestle to get the aspirin ground to a uniform consistency. I think the different sized chunks attained from hand mashing aren't great.

I'd venture to say this is an amazing product. I mix with Noxzema Blackhead cleanser and a little clay mask for hardening. I do it about 2-3x per week. I didn't have acne issues but I'm 42 so I don't naturally exfoliate as often as I'd like. This product has made my skin smoother, tighter (maybe the drying - LOL), cleaner, just all around better. Big thumbs up.

Pros:

Remarkably smoother skin! Definitely brings down the bumps on the skin. Very affordable!

Cons:

Process is a little tedious, and for a guy, it's a little demasculating... not sure how to wear 'masks' but it's like I can't move my head!
$7CAD for 100 no-name aspirins, $2 cotton swabs, $2 generic alcohol-free toner, $25 Neutrogena Anti-wrinkle

Gotta try this out! I will admit that I was pretty skeptical when I first read about it on a blog. But the results in the pictures were undeniable! Apparently, the active ingredient is being research heavily, mainly for gingivitis, and other topical uses (acne). What do you have to lose? I've read some good ideas here, and I'll let everyone know how the anti-wrinkle cream works... apparently Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle is good, cheaper than the "Clinique" brands... it's the retinol I think the blog said. I'm so glad that I've found something that works so well... the price is just a bonus! Needless to say, I will be cancelling my Proactiv subscription...

Pros:

i had moderate acne on saturday....i did the mask and the 1st time i did it, it was miraculous...all of the red marks faded, i was astonished....ive been doing the mask about 2-3 times aday since, and it definately works, but just not as much as the

Cons:

if you leave it on too long or do it too many times a day, it drys out your skin, its been about a week since ive been doing it and my acne went from about 75% of my face to about 25%

to counter-act the drying, ive been mousturizing the sh*t out of my face, but im going to go get some aloe vera and try mixing it in with the aspirin so hopefully that works....most things i try usually make things worse, and this hasnt so far, so hopefully i can be completely clear by next friday it does make your skin incredibly smooth tho

Miracle cure! My acne care routine :)
This is the only thing that gave me relief from very bad hormonal acne. I'm 42...43 in a couple weeks and ever since last summer I have been struggling with horrible breakouts the week before my period and the acne would linger for weeks. I'm a horrible picker and that gave me some pretty bad scarring to deal with as well. My face is very sensitive and anything prescription related would make my skin worse. Here's my routine that I started last week and I have seen a significant change! Anyone with questions feel free to ask. Here's how I'm doing it. First off WASH YOUR HANDS! Never touch your face without washing your hands good first! I learned this the hard way! Then, I wash my face with a mixture of 2 tablespoons of baking soda into 3 tablespoons of coconut oil. Spread the mixture lightly onto your face in small circles focusing on your bad areas. Leave mixture for 10-15 minutes. Let the baking soda and coconut oil donuts magic. Rinse well with cool water and wipe with a CLEAN washcloth. Pat dry or air dry. Now WAIT 5 minutes and let your face fully dry it may seem dry but it's not yet. While you are waiting drop an aspirin into a small bowl and add a couple drops of water to dissolve. After the 5 mins are up get a q-tip and start placing the dissolved aspirin all over your face focusing on your acne. I put it all over my face and under my chin and jawline. Let this sit on your face like a mask for 20 minutes. (Or longer, first few times I let it sit for a half hour or longer) Rinse again with cool water and a clean washcloth and pat dry. After the FIRST application I saw a dramatic improvement in redness and inflammation! Not to mention it REALLY tones your skin and helps to clear up your scars by reducing pore size and exfoliating dry skin cells. After letting your skin dry for another five mins or longer it's time to moisturize with a GOOD moisturizer. I use Hyaluronic acid lotion. This helps restore collagen production and restores volume to dry and wrinkly skin caused by acne, aging and drying caused by other acne products. (Especially useful for those of us who are aging). Repeat this morning and night (with a face wash with ONLY coconut oil around midday if you can). I followed this routine religiously for a few weeks and my skin hasn't been this healthy in a LONG time, if ever. Also, stay away from sugary processed foods and dairy, especially during a bad breakout. Our diets play a HUGE roll in skin health. Good luck!

Holy sh*t
Aspirin is the miracle I needed for my skin ðŸ' - I had had a couple of huge red pimples next to my nose and it had been a month since they first appeared, and they didn't seem like they were going away too soon... I honestly didn't believe this would work but I decided to give it a go... And the next day VOILA!!! The pimples were not red anymore and they had considerably shrank in size! I'm in love with aspirin and I'll keep on using them forever ðŸ' -

did it work on acne?
April 18, 2009

Pros:

Cheap!!

Cons:

When I follow the Aspirin Mask with a moisturizer, my skin tends to get red. So I prefer using at night before bed time and moisturize and applu sunscreen the next morning.

It can onlye be used twice a week or skin will go tolerant to this mas

You'll notice you skin soft, smooth and with a little glow. It also get rid of little bumps, help heal acne (it won't get rid of acne immediately). I like mixing 3 tablets of Aspirin ( I prefer Bayer Aspirin with 3 or 4 drops of Hydrogen Peroxide, it's dissolves instantly) and then add a little honey. Apply in circular motion, not to harsh cause the consitency is a little gritty. Sit with the Mask for 20 minutes ( 20 minutes in enough! Staying longer with the mask can cause redness ) Gentle esfoliate and wash your face with cold water. Go straight to bed! Wake up, use a light cleanser following with sunscreen or a moisturizer that contains SPF.

Pros:

The Aspirin mask is great!! It reduced the size and redness of my pimples. It makes my skin feel soft and gives a nice glow.

Cons:

None!!

I have stubborn, hormonal acne that is hard to treat. I started using the Aspirin mask in combination with my prescription sulfur acne wash and Differin gel (neither of which were doing much w/out the Aspirin mask) and amazingly, within a few days, my face looks INCREDIBLE. I wash my face with the sulfur wash first, then dissolve 2 aspirin in warm water, add aloe vera gel and coat my face for about half an hour. Then I rinse, apply Differin and go to sleep. When I wake up in the morning, I notice a huge difference- the pimples are flatter, less inflamed and no longer painful. This mask is DEFINITELY worth a try, especially in combination with other regimens that you are using.
