Can't decide whether aloe vera is actually the one that helped
This is my 4th day using aloe vera gel for acne. So everyday when I go to school,I pass by this organic shop and always see a medium sized aloe vera gel tub which ia overly priced. I always wanted to try commericial aloe vera gel brands. This is because I actually tried aloe vera gel from scratch and it didnt work cuz my face was itching as I have sensitive skin..So, this product by the name of P& L 100% aloe vera gel went in offer! I was so happy and quickly grabbed a tub..I have mild pimples and few acne scars. Sometimes, I get one or two major pimples. My pimples are all very small. After using aloe vera gel for 3 days, I feel my face is much more calmer and softer. And yay...No major pimples. Also, I did a few changes to my diet..Cuz research says eating healthily prevents pimples. Before, I used to eat very little carbs and stuff myself with fruits and veges. But nevertheless, My skin was breaking out still. Now, I got to know that my skin will break out if I dun have enough energy. So i started drinking horlicks and actually eating carbs. I know horlicks is full of sugar but It contains a lot of vitamins and minerals. And plus, Im trying to avoid spicy food. Whenever I eat extremely spicy food, my skin breaks out. Its very impossible to actually avoid spicy food cuz I'm from a very traditional indian family and eat indian food almost everyday. Therefore, I think my pimples got better cuz of aloe vera gel and also cuz of my changes to my diet. I can really decide which one helped more. Oh ya. I also dumped my zinc pills. I was taking zinc pills cuz I heard lots of good reviews about it. And I actually my skin got worst cuz of that. I didnt stop when it got worst cuz many people told that our skin will breakout very badly for the first month of taking zinc pills cuz our body is detoxifying all the toxins. And they told after that one month, our skin will get flawless! But didnt work at all.

Pros:

cools redness down
reduces size of acne
does not irritate or cause breakout

Cons:

dries out after it is absorbed by skin

I use the gel from Lily of the desert company and it does not cause break out or irritate my skin at all. I put on a LOT of gel on top of emerging or big acne spot, and it seems to reduce redness in matter of a half day. But it does feel sticky, and it will leave a scab of dried gelly on top of skin later on. So I recommend using it at night before sleeping or using moisturizer on top of it after it dries out. It doesn't do anything to acne itself or hyperpigmentation. One trick to get better use of this is to cool alloe gel in refrigerator until it is ice cold, then use it on your acne. Works like charm.

Pros:

Fades acne scars within days, less oily, speeds up healing process of acne.

Cons:

Sticky, but that doesn't really bother me. So apart from that. NONE. NIL. :)

Well, I use it throughout the night. After washing my face with Loreal. I'll let it sink in my skin and wash it off the next morning. And it WORKS WONDERS! Really. My acne scars has faded and it looks so gorgeous now! Plus my skin is so sensitive, it reduces inflammation and redness on my skin. I occasionally get compliments for it! So yeahhh, I really think everybody with acne problems, like me should try this out. Seriously. It's very effective. But of course, everything takes time. So it should really start to clear up within 2 to 3 weeks of use. Well, it did work for me. And a lot of people so I think it's best if you try this out. You'll never know if it works or not. Nothing is impossible, remember that. And never keep trying! ;) Best of luck people!! xxx

Pros:

It works, It drys quickly, It doesn't smell, It is amazing

Cons:

None

I bought the Skin Gel from Aloe Life at Whole Foods. It is Certified Organic. I have been having all sorts of problems with acne and nothing was working. I finally started using this and it is like a miracle. A week ago I was wearing a baseball cap and trying to hide my face and now I have no need for a cap because my face is 95% better. All the acne is gone except for a some left over red spots. I put the gel on before bed and it drys within about a minute which means I can sleep with it on and it doesn't get all over my pillow. Then I easily wash it off in the morning. When it drys it sort of turns into a natural band-aid. I've had absolutly no problem with it clogging my pores. People are amazed at how fast my face improved. I am so glad I finally found something that works and is all natural. I am going to keep using this and see if all the redness will go away, I think it already is starting to fade.

Pros:

It works to smooth out my skin, especially areas that our partially dry (especially during winter months). It agrees with my skin perfectly, it doesn't cause any redness or irritation as other products may cause.

Cons:

Feels sticky for about 10 minutes after use, but then soaks into skin and feels fine and your skin feels smooth. So really, NO cons =)

This product is great, it reduces redness in my afflicted acne spots which makes me extremely satisfied as is. On top of this it, moisturizes skin, works as a gel, has NO SCENT, and it causes no irritation (for me at least). This product overall is fantastic and if you have acne or dry skin or whatever you are trying to get rid of, I see absolutely no reason not to get this product. It is affordable, safe and mostly all natural. I tried expensive treatments but they take a long time and can cause a LOT of irritation and redness! This stuff is golden, but nothing is perfect, it may cause some sort of problem seeing as to how everyone's skin reacts differently, I would say for it's price, it's at least worth a shot; right?

Pros:

Cools the skin, soothes redness quickly, lightly moisturizes and tones the skin a little bit and doesn't leave any greasy or shiny residue. Creates a barrier to protect the skin and it's also great to use after sunburn/sun exposure.

Cons:

Takes a while to absorb and can sting eyes if put too close.

I've been using this stuff on and off for a long time now. I don't use it daily, however a few times a week usually. This stuff comes in handy often. Don't expect this stuff to cure acne or scars. It will give most people a better overall appearance of the skin and help tone and moisturize but as for active inflamed acne, whiteheads or scars it's not really for that. It may however smooth the scars out, making them look a little better and make acne appear less red and inflamed but it won't actually "cure" it, although I've heard rare cases of people finding it useful for acne, it did not do that for me. Still though, this stuff protects the skin very well and heals irritated, damaged and dried skin. Oh, and the best time to use it is definitely after exfoliation of any kind.

Pros:

works very, very well with my oily skin. i recommend it 100%

Cons:

a little too dry at times, itches when you put it on your body (a moisturizer is still needed afterwards)

this stuff is awesome. i paid $5 for it at CVS. it's really simple and clean, doesn't make me feel like a ton of stuff is on my face. after the first couple days of use i felt my pimples go down a little bit, they were a lot less inflamed. since then i've started using it on my chest and back, where i have some hyperpigmentation spots from old acne. the aloe gel helps fade scars and some trouble spots. i've also started to use it to moisturize my arms and legs, i've noticed that my skin has become a lot smoother (especially the backs of my arms). it is a little gloopy but it dries fast and has absolutely no fragrance.

Wonderful for inflammation and healing acne marks I've picked
I use it every AM and PM as a moisturizer, before other products. Also, studies proved aloe vera increases the efficacy of retin-a. When used in conjunction with retin-a, your skin will clear up faster and be less inflamed/red.

Pros:

i know alot of people have been using the gell, but i decided to go all natural and i decided to buy the plant itself. It was great, the plant costs like at most $2 but it is worth it. Everyday i cut a little piece of and put the gell onn my face

Cons:

the plant is a little sharp

its GREAT... alot of my scars have vansished and my face just seems whiter, clearer, and wayy better. My acne has also slowed down alot more, and is is not red at all... I suggest you buy the plant from a grocery store because it is natural...
