Pros:

Heals wounds faster

Cons:

Weak moisturizer, leaves glue like residue

I have to stop using it after 3 days because instead of moisturizing my face it does the opposite. The first day I put it on, i thought it was ok. It did burn my face a little but nothing I couldn't tolerate. On the second day, I put this thing on and went to eat breakfast. Immediately I felt the tightening sensation, I looked in the mirror I had white flakes all over my chin and cheeks. Wow ok, so I thought maybe I didn't use enough of it. So on the 3rd day, I used double the amount. Same thing happened, it burned my face a little bit at different parts. After an hour of putting this stuff on, my face still feels tight if I move my mouth around. Basically I get the same sensation as if i put glue on my face. I'm pretty disappointed since I bought it after reading the reviews here. I think the packaging is a little misleading too because it says 100% gel but people might get confused that it's a 100% aloe vera gel which isn't.

Gives relief from sunburns, sebderm, redness
I find aloe vera is a calming solution for inflammation. If I burn from being outside in the sun too long I'll rub a dime sized portion onto the burn area which brings relief. The aloe also helps soothe any redness from inflammation and I like using natural products. I plan to buy a aloe vera plants so that I can start growing my own plant.

Good product
It's a good product...I'm somewhat confused by it though. It seems to be moisturizing and drying at the same time. I feel like it calms down the sore acne, but when it dries, it has a tightening effect. I'm not sure if it would be a strong enough moisturizer if used with BP. Also, it is hard to wash off. It is very thick and slimy when you put water on it to remove it.

Pros:

helps reduce redness

Cons:

a little sticky
doesn't treat acne
takes a lot of it to work

it helps with redness but don't expect it to treat your acne. for me, it takes A LOT of aloe to take the redness down, but in the end it works.

Pros:

Fragrance free
Cools sunburns

Cons:

Makes my eyes sting and water like crazy!

It's great on sunburns but DO NOT use it near your eyes. They wil sting and you look like you've been crying for hours. It DOES cool though, but with the eye-stinging I wouldn't use it again on my face. For my body it does work great.

Pros:

1. Most breakouts are caused by stress. Stress=hot=breakouts | Aloe Vera=cool=lessens stress. 2. With Vitamin E & C, it replenishes the face and acts as an immune booster. 3. Because it is a natural burn remedy, it reduces redness and inflamation.

Cons:

Does make skin a tad tight if over-used HOWEVER, if a moisturizer is used just as often as you put on the Aloe Vera, the problem goes away.

I use CVS 100% Aloe Vera ($2.99) and CVS Skin Treatment Oil ($9.99) on my acne scars. To help with the occasional dry / flakyness, I use Aveeno lotions and moisturizers since I have sensative skin. For $13.00 total for my "kit", you really have nothing to lose but to try it. I apply everything 3x a day and have been using it for a week. Using the Skin Treatment Oil makes my blemishes go away within 2 days and helps me not to pop them (which is great so I can minimize scarring). So far the Aloe Vera has lessened the appearance of my scars. FYI to girls - DO NOT TAN in hopes of getting rid of your acne scars. It makes them more visable and red.

Pros:

calming to the skin and a very well made aloe vera gel

Cons:

not that great as a moisturizer since it doesn't have a lasting quality. 10-15 mins after applying, my skin felt dry... not chapped or flaky, just dry and not moisturized.

good for calming the skin from irritation (sun burn, benzoyl peroxide, shaving, etc) but doesn't keep skin moisturized.

Pros:

Heals skin fast! Soothing, and nice natural smell. Fades scars and redness. Anti-aging.
Lovely cooling effect on the skin - feels like expensive aftersun.
Cheap in price considering this is the main ingredient of many premium skincare moisturis

Cons:

Can feel a little tight if over-applied.
Don't apply then walk straight out into cold weather! Freezing (but I suppose it prob closes the pores well)!
Flakes under foundation if over-applied.

Well I don't know about Fruit of the Earth, but I'm using Holland & Barratt organic Aloe Vera Gel & it's wonderful. (Holland & Barratt is a health food store in the UK but it's also online). I tried this a few years back & it didn't seem to work but looking back I was using other products I was highly allergic to, so no wonder I broke out. I tried it again after seeing it in the sale ( £2.99 for a 200ml tube) on my local high street. I'd also just desperately sought advice at the beauty counters only to realise that this was the main ingredient of their most expensive products. This time round I'm on a gentle cleanse routine (no parabens or bp/sa I'm afraid - my skin can't handle them) - followed by this gel. My skin hasn't looked this clear in years. The redness is completely gone and the scars are fading fast. Amazing stuff. If you're in the US I seriously recommend ordering this online.

Pros:

Not greasy! Cheap, lasts forever.

Cons:

If you get it too close to your eyes they might sting.

I have tried many moisturizers, with and with out SPF, and they all make my skin break out. I slather aloe on my face before I go to bed at night and it never makes me break out. Also, other moisturizers look greasy even when they say it's oil-free, non-greasy. I started using aloe on my beach vacation and months later I am still using it daily! Works great all over the body too, especially on legs/shoulders!
