Pros:

No smell - dries fast - moisturizes

Cons:

Sticky when first put on but it dries fast and its nothing overly disgusting.

I was a little bit of a non-believer when it came to this stuff. I had some lying around the house (in a bigger pump bottle form) and I decided to look up the benefits of the product. My acne is very light, but I had recently burned my face with Hydrogen peroxide as I had gotten it confused with rubbing alcohol. I swept it across my face and the right side of my cheek had gotten some mild red burn spots so I started using aloe vera gel three weeks ago and I can honestly say my self esteem has gone up 110% as I can see them fading away - slowly but persistently. I am so happy to not have to wear my hair down to cover the spotting. They are almost gone!! I don't think it would help severe acne - maybe very light to moderate or mild - but give it a go! you will NOT be disappointed!!!

Pros:

I wish I would have found this product sooner. It works extremely well in reducing inflammation and drying up acne. I recommend using it along with a retinoid. Use it at nights, too shiny looking for morning use.

Cons:

can sting eyes at times.

affordable and extremely easy to use.

Pros:

It literally zaps away zits and gives your face a matte look. It fades red marks very well. It is in NO WAY oily at all. It is amazing!

Cons:

It can be a little drying and does not moisturize very well. HOWEVER, I'd rather have good skin with SOME flakes than bad skin with no flakes.

I've been using aloe vera gel for about a week now and IT HAS BEEN AMAZING. So amazing that I decided to write a review for it even only using it for a week. I tried using the DKR, but after a while, I noticed that the BP was making my skin look uneven and wasn't improving my acne that much. My skin is very oily as well, so it was really hard to find a moisturizer that wouldn't leave my face all shiny. Right now, I use my own regimen that includes washing my face with Cetaphil, using a 50/50 Apple Cider Vinegar to tone, and moisturizing with Aloe Vera Gel. The ACV is great because it balances your skin's pH levels and has helped with my skin's oil levels. I used to wake up in the morning with tacky skin, but ever since I started using ACV, its been much better. The Aloe Vera Gel is perfect for me because it doesn't leave my skin shiny and it does a great job controlling my acne. It is also amazing with red marks. I HIGHLY Recommend that people with oily skin try this re

Pros:

clears up acne, heals up scars, not greasy, light, minimizes pores

Cons:

stings eyes, sometimes a little too drying

perfect pre moisturizer serum. gets rid of acne and clears up any scars. whenever i am really lazy all i do is just glob some on my face, no washing or anything, and the next day i wake up with better skin then day before. albiet greasier since i didnt wash my face. sometimes it dries out my skin, but if i follow with a moisturizer it doesnt.

Pros:

helps skin heal, incredibly inexpensive, won't clog pores or irritate skin

Cons:

none!

Aloe vera is SO inexpensive... you can't afford NOT to use it! I got a 20 oz. bottle with a pump for $8.00 and it has lasted more than a year. I also have a 2 oz. refillable bottle, found in the trial-size dollar bins at Target, that is perfect for travel. Best way to use: Mix aloe vera 50/50 with moisturizer on the back of your hand, then apply to clean skin. Do this after letting any topical treatment sink in, if/when you use one. Your skin will glow. After a few weeks of regular use you will probably notice that breakouts heal better and faster, and the leftover red marks don't stick around quite so long. Take your smooth skin out in public to celebrate!

Pros:

A great (and cheap) alternative to other moisturizers that some people experience leave their skin too "oily". Has healing properties that may help reduce redness and promote healing.

Cons:

Can make your skin feel a bit "tight" (some people may like this though). If apply too much, may notice some "white" / dryness seem to appear.

Like the purity of this "100%" product (even though it has a few preservatives - closest you'll find most likely to pure). Love that it provides an alternative to moisturizers that can make my (generally oily) skin feel and look too oily. SUGGESTION: Mix a drop or two of Jojoba oil in with it (in a small container w/ a Q-Tip) before applying. This will help avoid the "white" / dryness effect, and Jojoba oil is well-known to be great for acne-prone moisturizing (read more on this site). Best of luck to you all!

Pros:

Originally recommended by my doctor to minimize scarring after surgery. Applies easily, works as alcohol-free shaving gel and as a medium-hold hair gel.

Cons:

Because it only comes in economical sizes, I will have to figure out how to transfer some to a smaller container for air travel.

If you want an alcohol-free shaving or styling gel, this is the most economical solution I have found. Comes in 6 oz tube and 24 oz bottle (price is for the 24 oz).
