Pros:

Cleared up red marks superfast
Evened -out skin tone
Initally cleared acne over night

Cons:

Caused my skin to break out pretty badly when it was near perfect :( no bueno!

The 1st 2 weeks of using this product,I was sure I was going to add to all the glowing reviews of how AHA+ is an all out awesome adition to the regimen. I saw a major improvement in my red marks in just only a week, and lingering breakouts cleared almost overnight. However, right around the 2 week mark I noticed my almost perfectly clear skin starting to break out like it used to before I had even discovered the regimen. It was like starting from square one all over again.I waited paitently for 3 days hoping it was a fluke, but the breakouts persisted and increased. Its been about 3 days since I've stopped using it and my skin has almost returned to normal, clear, and gorgeous.I really wanted to like this product, and some aspects of it I still do.After scouring reviews on AHA I did find that some people experienced a 'purging' of sorts after inital use, while some people had continued breakouts.I'm not sure if I'll risk fidning out which one I am,but I otherwise loved this stuff so much I might just have to see.

Pros:

exfoliated decently
good packaging
moisturized

Cons:

VERY sticky shiny residue even with very light application
caused breakouts

sadly I won't buy this again. I didn't feel like it exfoliated enough and left a super greasy sticky residue. I use it as a foot/hand cream for now but I hated the feeling of it on my face. After about one weeks use I ended up breaking out. I wish this worked for me as great as other people.

Pros:

-light mustard-like smell (not uncomfortable)
-NO flaky skin after use
-no animal testing used

Cons:

-greasy/oily
-not an effective spot treatment (see comment below)
-no noticeable decrease in fine lines

This is probably the best moisturizer I have tried. When I first started Dan's regimen, my skin was EXTREMELY flaky and dry; it has never been that dry before in my entire life. This product moisturized my skin better than any moisturizer I tried. However, it is extremely greasy, and I cannot wear makeup over it because the makeulp starts to run later on in the day. I also tried it as a spot treatment-it DOES NOT WORK. There was no noticeable decrease in size or redness. Addittionally, I did not notice any decrease in fine lines (I am only 20 though, so maybe it just won't work until later on). I also didn't notice the nice "glow" that some people claim to get from using AHA. Bottom line though: it's a great moisturizer, and if that's what you are looking for, this is the best one out there.

Great Results if you're not allergic to Glyceryl Stearate!
After some trial & error and research, I've concluded that I'm allergic to one of the ingredients: Glyceryl Monostearate/Glyceryl Stearate. Less than 1% of people have this reaction. I'll explain a little... I had been using this with Acne.org's AHA and BP with MUCH success for about 6 months with no reaction. So, when my eyes swelled and got scaly, red, & sore patches around them along with dry, cracking and bleeding skin in the corners of my mouth, I didn't think these products were the culprit. Eventually, I did change everything... No bp, no aha, changed make-up, changed everything. My skin started to heal. Because I had been using my products for a long time before this reaction, the culprit became difficult to pinpoint. I always remember my mom having sensitive skin. I discussed my new issues with her, and she revealed that she didn't have any skin sensitivity issues until sometime in her 30's, which was when I started to have problems. So, it would seem possible to develop an allergy and become sensitive to something that never caused issue before. Over the next few years, I developed a completely new regime that wasn't as effective as the Acne.org's BP/AHA/moisture but also didn't freak my face out. My initial thought was that it had to be the bp or aha causing sensitivity. AHA is notorious for being intolerable to some. When I would get a break out, I'd spot treat with acne.org's AHA and BP, and I'd start to feel the inklings of a reaction- patches under my eyes, itching, watery eyes... Then, I started just spot treating with the BP; that was ok. Eventually, I worked back up to using it all over every night. Other than normal BP dryness, I experienced no allergic action. I came to the (false) conclusion that it was AHA causing harm; however, I still longed for the BP/AHA results I had before my skin went crazy. I did some research on AHA's and found that people could better tolerate them when a blend of AHA's were used. I started on the (ridiculously expensive) Drunk Elephant Glycolic (AHA) serum. I've used that for months, until my first bottle was gone. Things were going well. No reactions. And now, we come back around to the Acne.org moisturizer. After months of being on the same regime (BP/Drunk Elephant AHA/same cosmetics, etc), I decided to revisit Acne.org's moisturizer. Last night, I used the moisturizer, and I woke up with swollen, watery eyes and itchy skin- all the same reactions I had years before and with Acne.org's AHA. I compared the ingredient list of both harm causing products (Acne.org's AHA and Moisturizer), and found 3 common ingredients: Butylene Glycol, Licochalcone, and Glyceryl Stearate. Butylene Glycol was also present in Drunk Elephant's AHA; I ruled that ingredient out. I researched Licochalcone and found no evidence of it as an allergen. Additionally, it's a great product for soothing sensitive skin reactions. When I researched Butylene Glycol, I found that some people can have terrible reactions. It is rare, but if you find yourself reacting to Acne.org's AHA and/or Moisturizer. This very likely could be the culprit.

Pros:

Smooths skin
Effectively combats dryness
Lightens pigmentation
No irritation
Thin consistency

Cons:

Burns a little on application
Clogs my pores!

I wanted to like this so much, but sadly I break out whenever I try to use it. Perhaps it's because my skin is so oily, I don't know. I'll still be keeping it for those flaky skin emergencies, but with regular use it gives me spots in places I've never had them before. Still, it gets three stars for doing what it says it will. I think it's me that's the problem here rather than the product! Ha.

Pros:

great moisturizer, tingles for a sec which means its working its "magic"

Cons:

no change with my acne scars nor does it help as a spot treatment. it never really help in reducing the redness or swelling

i use this product twice a day after being on Dan's regimen for a month and it did help with the dryness of my skin. The other reason I bought this product is because I read the reviews that it does help with the acne scars, but having used this for 3wks now I still haven't seen any improvements with my scars. As a spot treatment, that didn't work for me either. I'll keep using it tho and see if a few more weeks will make a difference. I only use a small amt AM & PM and its enough for the entire face then sunscreen after in the morning.

Pros:

Helps cystic acne
Keeps things under control
Reduces redness
Good Moisturizer

Cons:

Can be very irritating at first
Not a cure all
Leaves skin oily

This product is part of my daily regimen. I tried Dan's regimne for a couple months but my skin continually was very red and extremely flaky. I couldn't stand it any longer. Now I am using the following routine and have found a lot of success (visibly clear, but not perfect) and reduced andy irritation. Morning- Cleanse Face, Moisturize Night- Cleanse Face, BP, AHA+ Bottom line, I feel in control of my face. It is not perfect but I do not wake up worried about having pimples. And my cystic acne is nonexistent thanks to AHA. Great product, for a great price. Lasts a loong time, even using a generous amount daily. Thanks for this product!

Pros:

Does an excellent job of clearing acne, while also managing to fade scars and red marks in a less effective but still noticeable fashion. It makes excellent use of very high quality ingredients. Cheap

Cons:

It smells very unusual, makes your skin extra vulnerable to the sun (I burned very badly just spending some time at an outdoor mall), is runny, and has on occasion irritated and burned my skin. Horrible Container. Expensive Shipping.

This is an effective treatment for acne, and I would heartily recommend to anyone not seeing the results they're looking for on the standard regimen. Its very difficult for me to wrap my head around the idea that this helps keep your skin moisturized AND treats acne AND fades pesky red marks and mild acne scarring. Considering just how much it does, the side effects (which can be equally intense) are a fair trade-off. If you can find the line between being generous with it and not using too much so as to burn your face off, you can minimize the side effects so long as you also incorporate sunscreen (or a moisturizer with SPF) when you go out in the day if you had put some on the night before. I never tried it outside of my face, so I can't attest to it working or not working for bacne, ect.

Pros:

Smells nice
Seemed to work at first after initial spot test

Cons:

Now when I put it on my skin, it itches and starts causing bumps, which the next day become cysts :-(

I hate to give this a 'meh' rating, because this is an issue with AHA+ rather than this particular product, but just wanted to let others know that this may come up. Other people say it too: [link edited out]
