Pros:

It didn't make my face clearer, but it didn't make it worse either.

Cons:

I can't believe how many rave reviews there are about this product. For me, all it did was make my skin so incredibly itchy. My face would seriously feel like it was burning, it stung so much & my skin is not even that sensitive!!

I gave this a product a fair 2-month run. First, I tried to use it as a lotion but after it stung so much, I decided to only use it as a spot treatment - it still stung like crazy! I read all the FAQs about AHA & I even emailed Dan/Brandy for advice. Brandy said to apply less - but if I applied any less there would be nothing on my face! I also tried it without applying bp beforehand but I still got the same results: itchy/stinging skin. I tried the product on my back & it wasn't irritating at all, so I guess it was only my face that didn't have a good reaction to the AHA. Bottom line, there are less painful ways to get 100% clear skin!! For people who don't have a good experience with the AHA, I would definitely recommend Paula's Choice 2% BHA instead, along with bp of course. It's changed my skin completely! I really wanted this product to work & I'm dissapointed that it didn't. I still love all of Dan's other products, though. :)

Pros:

Makes skin smooth, and tingles so I know it's working.

Cons:

Caused new pimples, and it balls up so it is best used before bed and not under make up

My mild/moderate acne was totally under control from using the Regimen, and I decided to add the AHA treatment to make my skin smoother and brighter and to diminish my few wrinkles. After using it just two or three times, I awoke to three new pimples on my cheeks (where I have never broken out before). So even though it's not supposed to clog pores, it does not agree with my skin. It's too bad, because I liked how it made my skin look and feel (apart from the new pimples). So now rather than wasting it, I'm using it on my hands before bed.

Pros:

Not oily, nice packaging

Cons:

Broke me out and did not reduce scare marks..

i was using a product similiar to this called Alpha Hydrox AHA. In my opinion the alpha hydrox AHA is a way better product.. it was actually eliminating my body acne. I tried this product since i ran out of Alphra Hydrox and it broke my out nasty... Alpha Hydrox is a better product and its cheaper.

Not sure about this for my skin. I just don't like the feel of it on my face.

Just started out.
Hello Everyone, So, I have been on the regimen for years, but decided to begin using the AHA to help even my skin tone, and help clear some hyperpigmentation. So I have been the acne.org products using half AHA and Moisturizer at night for a week now, and noticed today that my face is really itchy. So, now I am getting a bit nervous, should I tone down on the AHA, or stop using all together for a few days? Anyone else experience this advice would help, thank you.

Pros:

Not as harsh or stingy as the Alpha Hydrox version can feel

Cons:

Very liquidy and dribbly
Expensive compared to Alpha Hydrox version
Absorbs poorly when combined with benzyl peroxide

I love the Acne.org benzyl peroxide but am unimpressed with the AHA+. The performance seems equal to the Alpha Hydrox version, but this has much poorer consistency and is harder to use. It is very liquidy which makes the tube hard to use and means you dribble expensive product on the sink. It doesn't absorb into the skin well. When I use it in combination with the BP, it pills and lumps on my face, and I have lumps of yellow goo all over (bleah!). The Alpha Hydrox Enhanced Lotion is a better buy and easier to use.

Pros:

Nice consistency, you don't need a lot. Also can replace moisturizer.

Cons:

I have very oily skin and was told that this balances out the skin. All it did was make me wake up to an overly shiny face. It didn't seem to help my acne or balance my shine at all.

From my experience, I don't recommend this product for people with already very oily skin.

Its just ok

So i recently got recommended by my friend to use acne.org regiment. I have been using for a month and more. I have seen some changes. I am OK with the effectiveness. It leaves my face soft and takes away the acne. There is no direction on how to use the AHA product on the container. When i bought the AHA they sent me the direction on how to use the cleanser, treatment and moisturizer but I already have that handout and don't need it. I should have appreciated the AHA handout more. I have been using the AHA twice daily and no face peel for some days now. Not sure if I should still keep using it or if I am using it wrongly.

Is it really worth it?
I'm a 36 year old male who tried this out for a period of time, and in all honesty it didn't do much. It just made my skin sensitive, and did practically nothing to my acne spots.

Is it safe to use while pregnant
Can you use this product if you pregnant? I stopped using it when I found out am pregnant but am in my secon trimester and my acne is acting out (not planning to do anything about that) but can I still use this product to clear my hyper pigmentation if it is safe?
