Pros:

shrinks pores, evens skin tone (even for those of us who are of African descent)

Cons:

initial smell, packaging is terrible - but eh, this shouldn't deter anyone from buying the product

This product has reduced the size of my pores significantly and evened out my skin tone without any burning or stinging. I was a bit apprehensive about using this product because of the reviews claiming that the product clumps up, but this hasn't happened to me once. For those of us ethnic folk (I'm Chinese Jamaican) who get dark spots with even the smallest pimples, this is definitely worth trying. All my dark spots are almost completely gone! Go Dan and AHA+!

Very good exfoliant
I bought this product and was really surprised by the effect of it on my skin. I can feel my skin smoother and brighter. So I'm sure it gets rid of dead skin cells and helps cell turnover. Also, it doesn't break me out. The only tiny problem is that it burns a little my skin. I have two 10% Glycolic Acid exfoliants, one from acne.org and another from a national brand (I'm from Brazil). Both are very good, I just don't give it 5 stars because I feel that my skin feel a bit more irritated after I use the acne.org's one. Though it is totally worth buying.

Heaven Sent!!
As soon as I use this product I feel it working. (Tingling and doing it's job) This product is a must have. I was, at one point, breaking out so badly and when it was time to use this, literally the very next day all my acne calmed down. The visible bumps and white/blackheads were gone. I love this solely for night time use. This product is definitley amazing. Thank you, it's heaven sent.

Makes the skin so smooth
This stuff is so good. I have been using this for nearly 2 months for my hyper-pigmentation along with Dan's regimen. Even though there is no drastic improvement in the appearance of the acne marks, I can see that the marks are fading slowly. I shall religiously continue to apply to get the outmost benefit. Applying AHA overnight, my skin feels so soft. Even when I glide my hand across the face, it gives the baby soft texture. I will come back and rate it 5, if I can see a noticeable improvement in my acne mark ;)

Pros:

- Exfoliates my flaky skin (from BP treatments) - Really does help make pimple marks heal faster (because of exfoliation)
- Very moisturizing and great ingredients

Cons:

Been doing the regimen and the copious amounts of BP has made my skin more sensitive. This AHA+ makes some parts of my face red and REALLY itchy. Also it tends to ball up. And I dont like the thick, sticky consistency

My skin has started to clear up and this AHA+ no longer makes my face red and itchy. It has been so helpful and I will repurchase this. I use this every single night. I've been on the regimen for 5 months and the results are fantastic. I've been using less BP but I just load my face up with this moisturizer. I recently purchased the new Salicylic Acid moisturizer and plan to replace the AHA, because I don't like how thick the consistency is and how it makes my skin really greasy. But overall, I would recommend the AHA, exfoliation is an essential step in clear skin.

Pros:

Really smooths skin and lightens red marks. Love the burning sensation ;) Works best at night, after BP (allowed to thoroughly dry) and I then apply Aloe Vera Gel over the top. In the morning, my skin feels so soft and positively glows.

Cons:

Balling up .... at first I thought it was skin coming off but then I realised it was the product. Doesn't really bother me as I don't use it in the morning.

Great addition to the regime and it is also a great wrinkle preventer.

Question
I've only been on the regimen for about two weeks. The instructions say to use the glycolic acid after one month of being on the regimen but I find that my real problem are just red marks/blemishes. I get pimples but it's not severe. Is it bad that I started using it too early? I mix it with the acne.org moisturizer.

Hey! It's not bad :) I don't even do the regiment and I emailed them to ask if I could use that even if I dont use their regiment. They said that if I dont have active acne, then I should go ahead! By your description its pretty much the same as me :) I do this for marks!! It helps! plus the texture of my skin is like its never been!

I would use this only in the evenings, because it's an acid, it can break down your makeup.

Gives baby smooth skin!

Pros:

leaves skin baby soft
prevents new pimples most of the time
helps shrink any pimples that have formed

Cons:

doesn't seem to be helping scars

I am absolutely in love with this product! So so amazing, my skin is so soft now that I have been using this. I use this everyday it does not irritate my skin at all. Sometimes I skip the BP and just put this on at night and it still works like magic. I still get like 1 or 2 little pimples nothing like before though, and when I do get 1 I just put this on and boom! gone pretty fast like 1 or 2 days the pimple is gone. I do still have acne scars which aren't really that bad but I wish this would get rid of them, I don't know if it will, but I think maybe giving it some more time will help, I've been using the regimen for 3 months and my face hasn't looked so clean and clear like it does now! I had tried Retin A, ProActive, Contraceptive pills, and other things prescribed by a dermatologist and nothing seemed to work for me and I spent so much money on useless products until I came across this website! Thank God for Dan! Wish I could have found this earlier in my life. I am 25 years old now and finally feel comfortable in my skin after so many years of struggling with acne, there would be days I didn't even want to take one foot out of the door because my face looked so bad to me.I will definitely keep using AHA+ and the BP. I had also bought the Dan's Lotion, which I do not like at all because it does not moisturize my skin, and I do no like the consistency of it, I also have Dan's facewash , which I will not be purchasing again either, the lotion I use is cetaphyl(doesn't clog my pores at all and does very good moisturizing my skin) and I use the brand SIMPLE facewash. I 100% recommend AHA+ it really has been like magic in a bottle for me !

Helps with flakes, skin tone

Pros:

takes care of flakes/dry skin
evens out skin tone

Cons:

makes skin sensitive to sun
stings eyes

Great product. This, along with the acne.org benzoyl peroxide has changed my life! The AHA+ takes care of flakiness once and for all. I used to always have patches of dry skin. I use a small amount of this combined with Cetaphil cream every night, and I never have dryness anymore. I also have some hyperpigmentation, and this helps even out my skin tone. Very amazing product. This makes my skin much more sensitive to sun though. If I am in direct sunlight for more than 10 minutes without sunscreen, my face will feel slightly burned. I do have very fair skin already. Also, be careful not to get this in your eyes or mouth. It seems easy to do, and will sting, especially your eyes. On price, this tube will last you a very, very long time, so it's worth the cost. Thank you so much Dan and everyone at acne.org!
