Pros:

None

Cons:

Where do I begin? It never worked. Ever. And the company is dishonest.

The company is unethical. I canceled over a month ago and even checked my bank account to make sure I was canceling before they charged me again and shipped another box. Guess what - they still shipped a package. I mailed it back and am still waiting for a refund. AND to top it off...just checked my bank account and they charged me again this month and I am sure I'll have another shipment waiting for me at my house one day soon. Awful company - worst customer service experience I have EVER had. PLUS, when I initially signed up they had a special...only 29.95/month. And yet I never paid that price. I always paid $65 a month (hoping and praying my acne would clear) because they were sending me two free gifts. How does that work? I thought FREE meant "no extra charge." Sigh...

Pros:

The refining mask is ok.

Cons:

The company has unethical business practices (they mailed me more of their product and charged my credit card without my permission since I had not ordered any more of the product)
The product itself made itchy patches all over my face and generally did not make my skin feel healthy (not to mention, it didn't make my acne go away).

Don't bother. There are cheaper alternatives that have basically the same ingredients and when you buy directly from a store, the company doesn't have your credit card on file, like Proactiv! I should mention that Proactiv actually refunded me when I sent the product back (the one that I never ordered) but they did not refund me for the shipping (even the shipping when they sent it to me). So I ended up paying $20 for absolutely nothing.

Pros:

Benzoyl Peroxide in the refining lotion does help. I got a free towel

Cons:

Doesn't work as a system, Bleaches your towels!

I'm glad I tried Proactiv because it introduced me to Benzoyl Peroxide (it works people! If you haven't tried it yet get the Acne.org stuff and DO IT!). So the repairing lotion is relatively good because of the BP, but its way more expensive than other creams anyway. The rest is JUNK. The cleanser is far to harsh and scrubby, it brought back acne on my forehead that had cleared up 2 years ago. Toning is bad, don't do it. It does nothing for acne and Proactiv is no different. The refining mask I got free with the pack I bought was okay, but not superior to any other mud mask. If you get this, use the free towel to dry your face because otherwise you will have to chuck out your good towels

Pros:

Made skin slightly smoother
Concealed (Is that even good?) acne for about a month

Cons:

Acne became incredibly unmanageable
Many, widely varied kinds of acne showing up in random places on face

Seemed great when I started using it. My skin indeed seem to clear up overnight. However, after about a month, my acne began coming back. With friends. Realizing the futility of the so-called treatment, I stopped using it. Now, my acne, which used to be mild and very manageable, is uncontrollable. I've broken out ridiculously since stopping with this product. Any acne I do have cannot be controlled with any method. Complete and total scam.

Pros:

I honestly cannot think of any...but it if I had to it would be it smelled OK.

Cons:

Very expensive, even when by buying it through QVC so I could use it at my own pace instead of being billed monthly. Did not clear up my mild acne AT ALL. I might as well have saved my money and not washed by face for 4 months straight. Very cheap packaging, the directions on the bottle washed away when I dropped them in the sink! Refining mask had hard chunks of something it it that felt like sharp rocks.

Big rip off, I would not recommend Proactiv to anyone. I was very disappointed since it seems to have a high reputation on TV. I wish I would have just gone to the doctors first to get a professional's suggestion rather than rely on advertisements. Best of luck!

Pros:

Toner removes makeup

Cons:

Dries out skin
Aggravates pimples
Doesn't clear up moderate-severe acne

I used Proactiv for more than a year, and my skin began to get increasingly dry. It felt like permanent flakes around my mouth, and I couldn't find a moisturizer, mask, or treatment that would fix it. Finally, I stopped using Proactiv because it DIDN'T clear up my acne WHATSOEVER. It simply aggravated existing pimples and smelled bad. As soon as I stopped, my skin was perfectly moisturized. Figures. The only good thing was the toner, which removes make-up. I wouldn't waste the forty dollars per month that this costs, the only people it works on is extremely mild cases. Just because celebrities endorse it DOESN'T mean it's good, clearly. None of them have acne anyways. Don't waste your time, guys.

Pros:

Sorta Gets rid of acne- but destroys your skin!

Cons:

horridly harsh, drying, redness-producing, not custom for your skin, and HAS BEEN PROVEN TO (POSSIBLEY PERMANENTLY) DE-SENSITIZE SKIN!

While this product clears your skin pretty well,my combination skin was horribly dry ( all over red) and I started breaking out on my cheeks which never happened (only my T-zone).I used for a yr and then tried clinque, Acne-Free products, Nuetrogena, clarisil and others. I went to the CHANEL counter days ago &bought nail polish. I always ask for samles ( who doesnt?!) and she showed me their skin care line. I have fairly severe acne being 13. She told me it looked like i had combination skin. I told her the clinque system wasnt working and her first words were -"oh well at least tell me you didn't try Pro Activ!" When i responded that i did,she continued to tell me that 90% of the people that come to CHANEL for skincare tried pro activ. She then told me how at a skincare seminar for chanel, they told her its been proven to actually de-sensitize your skin ( also read this online today!). Possibly permanently too! I've been on it for just 3 days and already notice softer, less red, less dry skin and smaller acne ( & starting to go away) When I went, she took out little jars and filled with toner,1 with cleanser,1 with cream for the dry parts of my face,1 for the oily parts, a mask & an exfoliater. She told me the first week to stick to cleanser and toner. yesterday I broke the rules and tried to mask that supposedly 'would make your skin glow' and boy did it. My skin is sooooo much softer- and after only 3 days!! I tried the cream and It seemed too oily for my T zone ( the gel cream) but it might work for someone else and I'll try it again in a week or 2. Go ask your local counter to try it. If they say no ( which i doubt they will) say a friend told you they gave samples and your skins bad enough you are willing to try invest in their products if they work.Every product is $40+ but the samles ( all under or about an oz. full) will last me a week to try them. +the skincare line will last you at least 5 months. $90-$200 skincare but a good investment!! good luck

Pros:

I have nothing good to say about this product or the customer service. Extreme waste of money!

Cons:

The products were extremely harsh. Adding to the acne with drying and irritation. There was no option available for customization of the order/products and not until I cancelled was I given the option of a "gentle line". Two months after cancellation I've now been offered to come back at less than 1/2 the price, with no shipping charges and full customization. Funny that wasn't offered from the beginning.

Do not use unless you are looking to damage your skin at excessive pricing!
