Pros:

Not as drying as prescription acne medication. easy regimen

Cons:

No dramatic results. Bleaches out skin and every clothing article that comes in contact with solutions.

I have moderate acne. It will occasionaly help clear up my mild acne breakouts. It is good in a sense that it does not dry out skin as much as prescribed acne. It however does not prevent acne more so maintains moderate acne. It is annoying that is bleaches out towels and shirts that come into contact with the solution. It also bleaches out skin. I am bi racial and my face is noticibly lighter than other areas of body due to application of face. I get cystic acne breakout and it does not help much.

Pros:

it works at a slow rate.. but works!

Cons:

will make you break out before seeing results
`~ can take almost 2 months before seeing some kind of results!

its better then many over the counter products!

Pros:

I like the exfoliation.

Cons:

Dosen't work...the repairing lotion drys my face out. Made my skin redish. I had breakouts elsewhere that popped up after starting ProActive.

Not worth $60 bucks.

Pros:

Good to prevent breakouts...NOTE, I do not have diagnosed acne. I use it for stress break outs once every 3-4 months or so,

Cons:

Their club method is annoying. You cannot order it when you need it. You must be on a shipping frequency that can only be pushed out to 16 weeks. It is costly and starts to stack up. No notice is given when a shipment goes out..they charge shippi

Club membership program sucks. Cannot modify. Drying and irriating. Overly harsh and a concern for anti aging concerns of 40 year olds (me!). Too much wasted money on the packaging and shipping. Cleaner is nice, lotion is harsh, toner is unnecessary.

Pros:

proactiv did help my skin. i had a lot of acne before using proactiv and the acne was starting to scar. i started using proactiv and it very slowly improved but my acne did not go away. i still have many breakouts on my face.

Cons:

the smell is terrible. it makes my skin really red and dry, especially in the summer. sometimes the toner feels like it is burning. it costs way too much money.

i have stopped buying proactiv. i liked the fact that it improved my skin, but now i have switched to another product that doesn't smell so terrible and isn't so harsh on my skin. the new product i am using costs more money (so i can't really complain that proactiv is too much money compared to other products) but it doesn't smell terrible like proactiv does. it works just as well as proactiv. so there are other products out there that work as well in case you find proactiv too harsh and you can't stand the smell.

Pros:

Clears up acne at first, makes skin smoother and refreshed ...the mask is a quick fix leave it on over night.

Cons:

Does not work in the long run, expensive.

I think they include some sort of chemical that makes your skin become dependant on the product once you stop using it. I usually break out around my cycle and from using proactiv gotten huge red bumps on my chin that hurt & feel like cysts that u can't pop, also have red scars left over. My self-esteem goes way down after I breakout. Works at first bc its a new product but I recommend going with clean and clear and using benzoyl peroxide for much cheaper and worth it.

Pros:

When I used it consistently it did improve the visible texture, color and feel of my skin. It even cleared up the slight rosacea on my cheeks...

Cons:

Allergic reactions seem to be common.
They send it too often and recommend it be used too many times per day.

However, about a year in to using it, I have developed a severe allergy to the product. In the last month every time I have used it my face has blown up like a balloon. I'm a tattoo artist too and thought I had developed a latex allergy (which is pretty common). By process of elimination I found it was the proactiv. My eyes puff up and my face and neck turn BRIGHT red and itch profusely! Even topical hydrocortisone and benadryl can't make it stop itching. I did call the company today to cancel... they kindly offered (without me even prompting) to send my money back for the last shipment and to write off next months charge. They have a gentle formula which they have offered to send me for a free trial. I'll try it, I love proactiv and hate my sensitive skin!

Pros:

Got rid of my body acne in a week.

Cons:

Doesn't work on my face. Can irritate neck area sometimes.

My grandma asked me about 5 months ago if I wanted to try it and I agreed since I have seen lots of convincing comercials. I used it for a couple months when I got it. It didn't do much. Well it was working, but very slowly. So I decided to drop it. Then a couple months after that I decided to give it another try but I also washed my chest area too. I used it once a day. Within a week almost all of my chest acne was gone. My face... no difference. Zits and blemishes (not big pimples and cysts) run in my family so I think genetics is mainly my problem =[

Pros:

Makes skin smooth to touch, easy to use, the mask shrinks zits FAST!

Cons:

DRY DRY DRY SKIN! If you're looking to dry out your skin, this is the product for you. My eyes looked all burnt around them. Toner smells like poop.

I've only been using proactive for about 2 weeks now.I don't by any means have acne, but I had a couple friends with nice skin who use it because it apparently made their skin EVEN BETTER. My first few days were painful and itchy. My skin looked leathery and kinda wrinkly for about 4 days. I started to use it ONCE a day, and my skin calmed down immediately. JUST REMEMBER:ALWAYS moisturize after your repairing lotion drys (with an oil-free moisturizer ofcourse). If not, your face will look VERY irritated. As of right now? My skin is feeling smoother, smaller pores, still a bit red and kinda shiny. I don't know what to expect in the next couple of weeks, but I hope it works. At least I can say I tried.

Pros:

You do not have to worry about re-order. They just dend it to you and bill your card.

Cons:

It does not work. I have consistently had acne since I started it 5 months ago. And my acne is worse than it was when I started. I used to have a few small blemishes. Now I get these HUGE Marks on my face.
