Pros:

started working within the first week, softest skin I have had since I was in grade school!

Cons:

when your broke and you need it, it seems expensive.

I have had consistant acne since 6th grade and tried everything possible. This was a desperate choice (an informercial? come on!) and within the first week, I was shocked at how great my skin looked. Its been 9 years since I first tried it and I cant live without it. Here's the trick....only use it at night. It will dry you out during the day. I wash my face with a plain soap to get the makeup off and then use the system before bed. Works awesome!

Pros:

It makes your skin feel so clean and fresh. I works pretty well, my skin may never be perfect, but it helps a lot. The 2nd and 3rd step run out so fast though! The refining mask is defiantely my favorite!

Cons:

If you forget to use it for just one night, you just might be surprised about how much you break out.

The refining mask is an essential for overnight spot treatment, and if you start using Proactiv, try not to stop even for just one night.

I don't understand why this doesn't work for so many people. it has made my skin completely bump free for almost two years. it is slowly fading away marks and hopefully with the help of aha, they will be gone soon. although this is a godsend for my acne, it tends to leave my skin oily unless i use the correct moisurizer

Pros:

It helped a little, and I mean a little, for about the first month.
It did not cause drying, redness, or anything like that for me.

Cons:

Expensive.
Stops working after a month.
It is very time consuming to apply all 4 products twice a day.

more cons- It does not reduce oil like it claims it does. The refining mask that came free with mine does nothing but make a crusty layer of crap on your skin. It made an about 20% improvement of acne, at its peak moment. It took about a month to see any kind of results, not 3 days like on TV. Bottom Line- It works for some people. My acne was not extreme, but was still a problem. Did not work for me.

Pros:

I put the face mask on JUST THE ACNE not the whole face. Do not follow directions. it just didn't help me. in anout 1/2 an hour i took it off and all of my acne! I use the proactiv when i want!

Cons:

The proactiv is crazt $$$$$ !!

You should try it and see how it works!

Pros:

clears skin. evens tone and texture, great for the first year.

Cons:

it works well is the con. this sounds weird but i mean it in the way that if you go to bed for one night without using it your skin is terible. you cant skip it even once or youre broken out

i think it works initially but that my skin personally built a resistance to it. i dont like that its so essential to use that you cant even skip one night without breaking out, that kind of scares me. lovely product while it lasts but im on the market AGAIN for another miracle. good luck to everyone, acne is a terrible disease to suffer from.

Pros:

Cleared up my skin and got rid of the redness. Almost all of my acne is gone after about 5-6 weeks of usage. Great for my skin.

Cons:

Tends to cause some dryness.

I love this product!!! It worked wonders for my face and I feel much more confident about my appearance!!!

Pros:

I have used Proactiv for almost 5 years now and my face is clear and I get complements(I do get the odd pimple). I tried going off it twice because I thought my skin was naturally clear - but had to go back as I realized that it's really the Proactiv

Cons:

I have noticed that it can be drying but I think that is due to the dry climate, and over scrubbing and over-use of refining lotion. Also many of the odd pimples I do get tend to be bumps under the surface that seem to linger for weeks.

Proactiv is a good product and allows me to be stress-free about my skin. I recently went off it for the second time and realized how bad my skin is naturally, and that I am constantly worried about it and feel self-conscious. I recommend this product to anyone that continually has a pimple (or more) on thier face, and is tired of experimenting with the "cheaper" drugstore brands - it is not worth it! Just make sure to read the pamphlet as I failed to do so, and ended up scrubbing with the cleanser, using too much of all the product, and over-using the refining lotion (which dried out my skin - actually causing more bellow - surface bumps). I plan on sticking with this product because I know it works and experiementing to save a few dollars is just not worth the frustration and loss of confidence. I also tried to find a more natural product and realized that Proactiv actually combines the harsh acne-fighting ingredients with natural, gentle ones in order to balance and benefit the skin

clears skin up

Cons:

bit pricey

Pros:

Works well, smells pretty good.

Cons:

Expensive, dries out the skin, and you need to buy the pricey green tea moisturizer to treat the dry skin it causes.

I had really bad acne, it didn't work at first and I stopped using it. A few months later, I went to the dermatologist and started taking antibiotics which cleared my face up quite a bit, but I still had some mild acne. I decided to start using Proactiv again and it cleared my face completely. I think it is a great product. The only downer is that it is super expensive and you have to buy the Green Tea Moisturizer which is also sold by Proactiv.
