Pros:

I like the light scent

Cons:

I have a dry forhead

I am serving in Iraq, and I have just started using proactive for about 3 weeks now. I have had acne ever since I was 11 and now I am 28. I haven't seen a real big improvement in my face but I do have some dryness on my forehead. It is really discouraging to read comments that people have left but it is helpful. Im really not sure if I am applying the repairing lotion right. Do I rub it in until it is absorbed in to my skin,or do I apply a thing layer over my face and let it absorb into my skin on its own?

Pros:

Initially: It worked and made my skin softer and clearer, It also smells good. The sulfur mask is the best part.

Cons:

Inconsistant in its promise to clear skin. Bottles too small, Expensive. Toner stings the skin, especially opened pimples.

I DO NOT recommend it. At first, I tried the stuff and it seemed to be working, but as soon as I forgot one day in the regimen, my face broke out all over again, and three times as worse. I started to get huge painful hardened puss-filled lesions on my face along with deeper blackheads and whiteheads that seemed to appear out of no-where, and still continuing the regimen as normal did nothing to clear them up. Extractment of the pimples has only led to scarring. I'm having my sweet 16 party soon and I was hoping for my acne to be cleared up by then but I'm very upset with the fact that this product has done nothing but make my acne worse. It might work for non-servere acne sufferers, but for people with moderately-servere acne like myself, this is not for you. Your doctor or dermatologist would be able to give you a much more effective means of treatment.

Pros:

the bp product kind of works
the toner makes your skin look even

Cons:

the cleanser is horrible. it made me break out worse than before. when i was using all three products, the combination was so harsh my zits turned into scabs all over my chin and near my mouth.

The three products altogether are far too harsh. I have found that the bp and the refining mask are the only effective things they sell, and when using those the only thing that will even out the harsh effects and save you is AMAZING moisturizer. Even those are overpriced considering you can get the same items at a better price other places. Lame.

Pros:

The cleansing mask is the only product that is worth the money even though it smells like sulfur and leaves your skin pretty dry. It is a good quick fix if you are needing polished skin asap.

Cons:

The Proactive system makes you look about ten years older than you really are. It dries out your skin terribly and leaves your skin red and dull. It also causes my acne scars, which are usually unnoticeable, to be dark red and irratated.

I would not recommend this product. When I get any of their products as a gift, I give it to my mother who does have a lot of faith in Proactive. I guess you have to try it for yourself; but as for me, I am sticking with Aveeno.

Pros:

Your skin feels clean and that is about it...

Cons:

Expensive, no results

Since I have been using this my breakouts have progressively gotten worse. I have followed the steps and I am on my 4th week of using it and my skin is worse now, worse then before using this product.

Pros:

My face was much less shiny and oily on the surface.

Cons:

My breakouts got much, much worse, and my face was more irritated.

I tried Proactiv after a myriad of other products and treatments. In the end, my face was much more broken out and inflamed. The cleanser, with its exfoliating grains, is too irritating. The toner doesn't seem to do much, however, it does contain aloe, which can actually be an irritant to those with rather sensitive skin. The mask, which contains sulfur, smells awful, and I've read that sulfur can actually make acne worse. The Daily Oil Control did a good job of controlling oil, but it's made in a silicone base, which can actually plug up one's pores. It did MUCH more harm to my skin than good.

Pros:

Nothing!

Cons:

Makes acne worse...

Bottom line is this; do not buy this product. I started using it b/c I sometimes have that occasional pimple. I have never had three or more at a time on my face. Now that I have starting using this product my face is covered with them!!! I can't even look in the mirror. In addition to this, it makes your skin feel stretched and gross. I think this product might only be good for those people with excessive oily skin. I recently landed a great job and was hoping that this "miracle" product would get rid of those random minor pimples. Instead, it made eveyrthing worse! Please don't buy it, or if you have it and are doubting it, return it. It was a waste of time and money!

Pros:

Certainly not many, it didn't really help at all.

Cons:

IT dried my skin out and burns without a positive result. It had virtually no effect on my skin at all.

I have severe acne and maybe if you don't u can try this but if tou are like me this product sucks.

Pros:

Absolutely NONE.

Cons:

Doesn't work, made my skin break out into a rash...

I had a few zits and some increased oiliness during my time of the month and decided I wanted to give ProActiv a try. I tried it for exactly 3 days. The first day I noticed a marked improvement in my blemishes dried out, became less red etc. On the second day I noticed a rash on my neck (where I also used the product). I thought in was unrelated and continued using ProActiv that night as well. However, when I woke up in the morning I had tiny, almost not visable bumps in every single pore of my face. I honestly can't really see them but I can definitely feel them. They are like little hives all over my neck and face. I threw my ProActiv products away and went back to drug store products this morning. I just washed my face about 30 minutes ago with a little cleanser and am already noticing an improvement in the tiny bumps. ProActiv is the worst purchase I've ever made.
