Pros:

are none except it makes your skin soft

Cons:

this product does NOT work! Has anyone ever noticed how many times a day that stupid commercial comes on? maaaybee it's because they are dessperate to sell it. However, it seems like it'll clear up one pimple but then 2 more will pop up! So frustrating! I can not stand this product it's just as bad as over the counter sh*t you buy at CVS or Walgreens. If you have acne go see a pro about it dont get this.

This product is over rated and people should know about it. Go see a doctor if you have bad acne and want to get it cleared up or get a chemical peel or something done.

Pros:

Nothing.

Cons:

Everything about the product is a lie. and i mean EVERYTHING IS A LIE, DO NOT BUY IT!

Its a horrible product, it has bleach in it that only "works" while you are on it and once you stop, you break out. the product is a big scam. The big thing behind it is, they don tell you the real truth of whats REALLY in the product. It will make you break out even more. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!

Pros:

* comes with a refining mask that works on SOME acne issues

Cons:

*drys skin
*costs too much
*smells bad
*Too many steps
*doesnt work
*made acne worse
*continues to send you refills/ charge you more when you didnt want to

IT JUST SUCKS I used proactive for three months and expected there to be a drastic change someday because of the way they advertise on the commercials. Proactive made my skin so much worse, dried it out, and my face was soon covered in acne scars/marks. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT

Pros:

-nice clean fresh feeling after treatment
-fairly good bang for your buck
-relative improvement

Cons:

-purchaser will be AUTOMATICALLY signed up for product renewals without consent (it's in the fine print) and you will get continually charged... see below!

HUGEST CON: PROACTIV automatically 'renews' your subscription to the product and continues to charge your credit card monthly. If you're Canadian (which I am) it's near impossible to get through the customer care line to a representative because it requires you to key in your 5 digit zip code (Canada has 6 digit/letter postal codes) and there's no way around it. No matter what your nationality, those robbing bastards want you to return the second shipment before they'll refund and cancel your account - which takes 4-6 wks. I freaked out, demanded a manager, freaked out more and my refund will be issued in 3 days. BS!

Pros:

None

Cons:

I used this product and it burned very much so. The initial applications caused a breaking out of my skin then 4 months in to my subscription the company has a new and improved formula without offering any sort of compensation for existing customers. Not only that, I canceled my subscription yet was aware that I was continually being charged. The withrawl three times, once per month to pay for one package. Customer service was very rude and unsympathetic. Worst experience with a company by far.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Under handed dealings. This company assumes you are knowledgeable about the most detailed aspects of the dealing with Proactiv. It was a waste of time, money, and very uncomfortable skin. I wouldn't recommend this to my worse enemy. Very unprofessional company that uses much marketing to sell thier product as oppose to word of mouth as do the real reputable companies.

Pros:

It works for the first few weeks.
BIG RIP-OFF!!!

Cons:

Skin starts to get worse after a while
Very expensive

Do not start using it. The first few weeks your skin starts to clear really nice. But after that initial period, the skin start to get "use" to it and it seems like you need to apply more and more times. I started out every other day and then daily. My skin got so bad that I ended up using it twice a day. Finally I stopped using the product and my skin starts cleaning up by its own at least a little bit. (Going to try the baking soda scrub!)

Pros:

Toner and mask work

Cons:

The wash (step 1) doesn't wash anything off of your face...i'm not exactly sure if it even does anything at all
The 3rd step that you leave on leave face red, and doesn't do anything either
The customer service sucks, I can't understand anything anyone says
I thought i was signing up for a starter kit and if I liked it then i would buy the 90 day supply - They automatically send the 90 day supply charging me three separate charges a month ( I had no idea, but apparently I "signed u

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY I now use cetaphyl face wash and a toner, never using Proactiv products ever again,

Pros:

It clears a bit of acne.
The toner, lotion, and Green Tea Moisturizer were f a n t a s t i c.

Cons:

If used without moisturizer, your skin becomes overly dried, and in order for your skin to fix that, it gets very, very oily.

The cleanser is trash. Completely. The toner was wonderful, and if you use *alot* of the lotion, and wait at *least* 10 minutes after you apply it to put on moisturizer, it should work better if you use a better cleanser with the regimen.

Pros:

Works for awhile

Cons:

Acne comes back worse than before

I was getting so frustrated with having acne into my early 20's, that I decided to take the (expensive) plunge and commit to Proactiv. I only started seeing results after about 3 months. Even then, I had fewer breakouts but my skin didn't FEEL clean, if that makes sense. But, since I could see results I kept using it for about a year. I decided to stop using the system to see if my skin was 'cured'. Definitely not! In fact, my acne came back much worse than before after I stopped using it. It scared me, because it felt like Proactiv had just pushed the zits from the past 9 months down deep into my skin and they were just waiting to pop up. I will never use Proactiv again...I threw away about $120 of their products. Now my skin is much more clear and feels great. I regret ever trying it!
