Pros:

None

Cons:

Made my skin 10 times worse - from mild to cystic acne
Greasy skin
Burns, reddens and dries skin
Bad customer service
Scam

I bought this on a whim after reading some good reviews but my experience was just terrible. It dried out my skin and gave me acne and blocked pores on my forehead, where I never usually get spots, cheeks, chin and jaw line. My face looks 10 times worse than before. If I could give a 0 out of 5 score I would. I called customer service after a couple of weeks and they told me "it usually gets worse before it gets better" and convinced me to carry on with it. After another week my skin was so bad and I felt so depressed I called for a refund. They told me fine, I had to send the products back (at my own expense) and that any future payments would be cancelled... It was not made clear anywhere on the website that I had signed up for a bimonthly package of products and I was furious. Proactiv is a scam and the bottom line is IT DOES NOT WORK!

Pros:

Cleared my skin for about four months.
(That I still use)
The only good products they have:
Green Tea Moisturizer
Proactiv Solution Deep Cleansing Wash

Cons:

Made acne much* worse.
Dries skin out.
Causes redness and irritation.
Burns my skin.
High cost.
AWFUL COSTUMER SERVICE.

I have moderate acne and VERY oily skin. (I'm 15 years old) I used Proactiv for about six months. Which is three systems total. It took about 2-3 months to actually start working because my skin had to adjust to it. The two systems were AMAZING!!! My acne cleared up and skin was healthy looking. When I got the third system something odd happened. My skin became very itchy and red. About a week later I started to break out really badly and my face was EXTREMELY dry. Moisturizer and plain dove soap even burned my face. I decided I just needed to take a break with the harsh products. So I stopped using any acne products for about two weeks. Right after I stopped using Proactiv I broke out SO BADLY. I went to my doctor and they put me on a product called: BenzaClin. It's really expensive but it cleared up my acne. BOTTOM LINE: Don't buy Proactiv. It's a waste of money.

Pros:

Works when you actually use it.

Cons:

Once you stop use it, you're acne explodes...
it actually ruins your face!
It contains Benzoyl Peroxide, and here is the reason why you should really not use anything that contains BP [link removed]

I used for about two months, it worked fine. But since I got empty I decided to try something cheaper. Just after some few days without proactiv, my face turned out looking like my dog had chewed on my face while I was sleeping.. (or something like that) My face was totally ruined, and I just had to lock myself into my room and stay there for days (thats hot horrible I looked, like a monstaa :@) Anyway, no not use anything that contains Benzoyl Peroxide!!! IT RUINS EVERYTHING!

Pros:

Their Green Tea Moisturizer was actually good.

Cons:

The regular strength formula tore my face up -- caused peeling and severe dryness. Switched to gentle formula, no peeling or dryness, but made me break out even more. Plus it's expensive.

Doesn't work. Save your money. Buy a gentle cleanser (Cetaphil or Neutrogena) and wash your face with that. Proactiv recommends washing face with a wash before their cleanser anyway. It may work for some, but definitely not me. In fact, I feel like it's made me break out more. And I had very light acne to begin with, but when I did get it, they would be big deep ones. Now I've got them on my chin, the top of my eyebrows and side of my mouth. RIDICULOUS.

Pros:

Smelt good, easy three step system, BP treatment has 2.5%

Cons:

Cleanser is an exfoliant, irritating for acne especially severe cystic acne.

I used proactive religiously for 6 months and my severe cystic acne only got worse and worse. I have been on the regimen system for only three weeks and have amazing results when I maybe saw with proactive after 2 months of use...then my acne got worse... Proactive is hyped up by celebrities and dermatologists I have never heard of....with research and understanding Dan's techniques with use of the regimen, you have to approach acne with a gentle touch...NO SCRUBS OR MICRO SCRUBS! that aggravates acne and that is the reason why my skin never got better! Plus on top of that I was putting BP on it! It wasn't healing and it was as if somebody put lemon on an open wound...how in the heck is that wound suppose to heal and be soothed if you keep burning it and irritating it?? Duhhhh....so BOTTOM LINE.....do not waste your money on it and try the regimen instead! If anything the BP in proactive is the only good thing out of that system.

Pros:

Cons:

Proactive is a rip off and a devious company that will sign you up for a subscription without your consent.

Don't buy from proacitive's website. They have vending machines in malls so you don't get signed up without your consent for a subscription that is $30/month. Heed my warning don't buy from [link removed]

Pros:

Great for treating acne, HOWEVER, be very cautious when purchasing product from Proactiv.

Cons:

Deceitful company, which is a shame because the product is good. With misleading gimmicks, customer service reps that will give you a different answer every time and unauthorized charges to my credit card I would rate this company a 1.

1 Borderline crooks.
