Pros:

No pros for me...

Cons:

Didn't do anything...

I tried it years ago, didn't work. Noticed maybe even more breakouts? But I believe that it possibly was from the stress of not seeing results.... I think it may be a good products for those with mild acne. If you have moderate acne, all over, that doesn't seem to go away. Topical products WILL NOT cure you. I have cleared my skin up 70 percent with lots of research and keeping an open mind. I take a variety of vitamins that has helped with my skin so much. A topical item I do use is Milk of Magnesia. Don't shoot it down, read the reviews here on acne.org GREAT STUFF FOR OILY SKIN! Anyway, If you have skin like mine, all over back, chest, (strange though not so much on my face) then you might have an internal issue. online I have read lots of things about the link of acne and insulin resistance. Just do the research, IT ALL MAKES SENSE! I am 18 and have acne since I was 12, I will not stop till I've found the cure! If you have bad acne, none of these mainstream products are going to help you. Now, if you have a couple of blemishes on your face, and just need a good wash, I think proactive can help. If your issue is a little more than skin deep... save your money, there is cheaper more effective products, I would know. I have tried everything under the sun! oh speaking of sun... The sun works wonders too, sun in moderation can benefit you and your acne! Sorry I've been rambling, just want to share some of my advice and not completely bash this product. Didn't work for me, but could work for you. I can see why people are disappointed... I know I was, but I have head some good results too from others. It really just depends on the person. Now if you are like me, PUT THE MAIN STREAM WASHES DOWN! Cure your body, acne is a symptom of a bigger issue. Fix the problem that is causing the acne symptom, and you can achieve clear skin! I have faith I will make my 70% clear skin a 98% very soon! (100% is a little unrealistic I think) :D

Pros:

Quickly Noticed Results
Noticeable change in pores size
Softer Clearer Skin
Huge improvement on future blemish control..

Cons:

Finding Kiosk Locations to prevent the automatic renewal scenario

A little pricey
Run out of Toner prior to wash due to using it more.

I have heard about proactive for years and have always wanted to try but figured that as with most as seen on tv products it was only a gimmick. I am a professional performer and consistently have to use stage makeup that can cause breakouts by the end of a week of performances. In general I have very little acne but do have combination/slightly oily skin. I recently decided that I would give it a try after seeing the kiosk in a local mall (to prevent the automatic renewal horror stories) and decided to give it a try. Literally within 3 days the few minor blemishes had healed completely and my skins texture not only felt smoother but also blended some of the discoloration from previous blemishes. I write this only because I am truly impressed with the product and am grateful that I decided to give it a try. I do however suggest that the cleanser be used as directed for a full 2 minutes but only at night at the end of the day. Then use the toner in the mornings and for a quick refresher during the day. *The recommended dosage is what I believe and hear dries out the skin and cause some of the lack of improvement. I have already returned to purchase additional products including the oil free moisturizer which I use during the day and then The Repairing Treatment moisturizer at night time or when I am not out doing the strenuous activity. Lastly, to quickly aide in getting rid of a blemish here or that that pops up, utilize The Refining Mask but only a pea sized amount on the actual blemish/pimple and leave it on over night. Then the next morning simply rinse with water and only if necessary use the toner again. There is no reason to use the cleanser both morning and night other then to dry out your skin. Overall, I say give it a try... Obviously everything isn't for everybody, Nothing Ventured-Nothin Gained. All the best and Thank You Proactive!

Pros:

I don't understand what these other people are complaining about it works great give it some time to work and when using the cleaner don't scrub your face off lightly massage it on and if your skin is oily or combination for gods sake use the daily oil control and oil free moisturizer it helps big time!!!!

Cons:

When buying this system don't think cheapest think what will work right and better for your skin..

Bottom line it works great

Pros:

The product does work for the most part

Cons:

You are decieved about the actuall cost. The commercial states $19.95 and free shipping. What they don't tell you is that you are getting trial sizes. So after the initial $21 cost, if you opt for the 3 month shipment your are now in for an additional $73.

You are being scammed on the cost.

Pros:

-It works!
-It works!
-It works!

Cons:

Nothing really. I guess, its a little on the expensive side.

I bought proactiv after being so fed up with my acne which has been bugging me for almost 5 years. No one knew I used proactiv and after a few day, a friend noticed and said, "hey, your skin looked a lot better". Compliments keeps coming from that point. It truely changed my life! Its a year after now and Im back to square one - this time, even worse. But thats cause I stopped using Proactiv after 6 month, when I felt my skin looked its best and acne is out my way. Bottomline, proactiv works if you use it consistently and stick with it till...welll, forever. Either way, proactiv gets my two thumbs up :)

Pros:

Quick results, refreshing, quick and easy application

Cons:

drys out skin, strong scent, harsh, bleaches towels

Proactiv really did work for me. My skin was as bad as its ever been. I have never had bad acne but at the beginning of college I became stressed and I broke out. So I tired the 30 day treatment and my skin cleared up significantly. BUT, it dried my skin out. My skin is never dry and never oily. I became really dry and it did not look good. If your acne isn't too bad and you just want to clear it up just use it once a day and t will work. Thats was I did after 3 about weeks. If your skin is dry already, get a lightweight facial lotion. It does work, you just have to adapt it to your skin.

Pros:

Great for treating acne, HOWEVER, be very cautious when purchasing product from Proactiv.

Cons:

Deceitful company, which is a shame because the product is good. With misleading gimmicks, customer service reps that will give you a different answer every time and unauthorized charges to my credit card I would rate this company a 1.

1 Borderline crooks.

Pros:

Cleared like some of my acne

Cons:

Dried out my skin
Made my skin itchy like crazy
Didnt even clear all acne
Made skin look dull and tired
Cleanser was a little harsh

I paid 50.00 for this stuff in a kiosk. 50.00!!!! For 3 bottles that last like 2 months. In my opinion thats not worth it at all. I dont see why people waist their money on this stuff, there are so many drugstore products that work just as well. Thanks!

Pros:

Cleared (most of) my skin
Made it softer

Cons:

Still get frequent blemishes
Extremely drying
My skin still gets oily mid-day
Toner runs out very fast

I started using this product about a year ago. I was fourteen and I was fed up with my acne that had been moderate/highly moderate for the past two years. I saw the commercials and decided to finally give this product a try, seeing as I had been all over the board with about five or six other products. I ordered it and it was shipped to my house. I began using it and I broke out, but then after about a month or two my skin began to become clearer, but I still couldn't get rid of the acne. After about six months my skin began to begin to clear up for the most part, but I was never fully clear. I still use it now (along with Neutrogena Moisturising Lotion, which seemed to be the only thing that worked) and I'm tired of looking into the mirror and seeing acne. I'm about to switch products.
