Pros:

I had 'adult' acne and this has helped. Easy to use, can have frequency of delivery extended to reduce cost (do need to use sparingly then).

Cons:

The price but overall when I come the amount I paid on other facial products and prescription medicine it is comparable.

I have used this for several years and it has consistantly helped when other products have not. I get compliments on my complextion.

Pros:

It works well, as long as you keep up with it!

Cons:

It gets expensive

I used Proactiv for over a year. It gets expensive and i would run out for a couple days so i would have bad break outs again. I decided to go to the doctor to see what they could do to help me out. They prescribe me some gel and it cost $160 compared to the $40 i was spending on Proactiv. My face is now very dry, peeling, red and blotchy, and it burns really bad. I have had to get an antibotic, and this moisturizer that costs $17 for a small container to try to ease the burn. After not being able to keep up with the Proactiv i am now using this stuck with pain from even more expensive stuff. You can order the Proactiv online, and there are some malls that have a booth set up with it. Just go online and search for locations. I reccomend it!

Pros:

Clears acne & softens skin

Cons:

Can cause redness & drying if used as directed

I'm 23 with mild acne, have VERY sensitive skin and can't use most acne products. Proactiv is excellent at clearing acne quickly and is relatively gentle. I use the entire system, although only at night (and I found the clay mask that's included too drying so I don't use it). When I used it twice daily, I found my skin became a little irritated. So, in the morning I now use Oil of Olay's Foaming Cleanser for sensitive skin (because that line is awesome, but doesn't clear acne) and my skin is smooth and clear. I've used Proactiv for about two months and have never had such good results with a product line. Very encouraging! Try the line, but know your own skin, and adjust the usage accordingly!

Pros:

I use the Gentle Solution; I have sensitive skin, worked well and didn't make my face red, dry, or flaky

Cons:

The moisturizer tends to make your skin look oily.

If you have sensitive skin or are allergic to the main ingredient in the advertised version of Proactiv, ask for the Gentle Solution. They don't sell this in the mall, you have to email the company or call customer support to switch to the Gentle Solution. It has Salicylic Acid, if you're allergic to Benzol Peroxide. I highly recommend it. It comes with a night time green tea moisturizer too which calms the skin of redness and irritation, for people with sensitive skin. I still recommend using an SPF sunscreen. The only thing is, if you use a lot, your skin may look oily. Use a -minimum- amount. Keep with it, and don't give up! I highly recommend it..

Pros:

Clears up acne, improves overall texture of skin, prevents breakouts.

Cons:

Can be very drying when you first begin it.

Is it expensive? Yes. Does it dry out your skin? (initially) Yes. But... it works. After 12 years of suffering from acne, and using every over the counter product under the moon, ProActiv has been the only thing to help me. The second and third week on the system, my face was very dry and had some peeling. But I stuck with it. After 3.5 weeks of use, my face was 95% clear and by the end of the 4th week my skin was hydrated, and smooth. When I do get a pimple, its lifespan is much shorter and the redspot leftover is much lighter and fades quickly. The only thing ProActiv has not helped with is reducing the appearance of old acne marks.

Pros:

Clears up skin and keeps it clear! Face feels as soft and smooth as it did when I was a kid!

Cons:

Don't have any!

GREAT product. I have very moderate acne so can't speak for everyone, but this has kept my face clean for months. No other product has done the same. I have extremely sensitive skin and this was very gentle for me, unlike other products I tried.

Pros:

works well totatly clear skin:) i love their products

Cons:

unfortunately it makes my face red and can bleach clothes

its worth it to some extent i believe they should make larger bottles if they didn't spend the 4 million dollars on paying celebrities to do infomercials they could focus on acne research and product enhancement :)

Pros:

Completely gets rids of whiteheads and existing pimples. Gives you an even, glowing complexion.
My fabric didnt get bleached or anything and my skin didnt even dry out...probably because i used the Proactiv moisturizer too.

Cons:

Didnt particulalry stop new, painful pimples from forming, but as thats's part of the treatment, i was warned it may happen. Also, it was a bit pricey.

This stuff comes in really tiny bottles, but dont panic, it will still last the promised amount of time: two months. I have two words for you: BUY IMMEDIATELY! Persistance with this product will wipe away traces of acne scars too and it gives you a wonderful, fresh radiance. After i was done with proactiv, i started breaking out again, mildly though, so i used clearasil, and its done wonders.
