Pros:

Cystic acne cleared up pretty well- although i still get one every month, cleared up the acne on my back perfectly, the mask is great to get rid of dry, peeling skin. And the repairing lotion is great.

Cons:

Takes a while for it to actually show RESULTS, it took me about a couple of months. When I went a few days without it because I ran out, I broke out like crazy.I have to keep back up supplies of it.

Keep using proactiv for at least 4 months, it took me that long to see full on results. Buy the combination therapy set if you have sensitive skin, oily and/or dry skin. I have combination skin so it worked well for me, but the 5-piece combo set is the most expensive set of the bunch. If it dries you out, use a SMALL amount, a very SMALL amount. That seems to work the best. And use the mosturizer/sunscreen.

Pros:

I used proactiv for about a year, my skin was GREAT! But then, I started to break out, my skin got worse and worse, and proactiv no longer works for me. I did try acnexus, and it does NOT work at all! I recommend that you do not buy it.

Cons:

It is pretty pricey. It takes a while for it to start working on your skin. It stops working after a short usage time.

Proactiv is a good treatment for acne if you think that your acne will be over in a short timing. But otherwise this product isnt for you.

Pros:

I have been using this product for 8 years. It works pretty well. I used it once every morning. My skin was a nightmare before proactive. Proactive repaired my skin so much that it saved me from so much humiliation as a student. My miracle.

Cons:

It is pricely.

I do agree that the mask does make your skin feel tight and dry. But if you touch your skin it does feel soft. I have recommened to my little brother but he does not used like it is recommended so he still has acne but I don't because I follow the directions.

Pros:

Cleared up acne very well.

Cons:

Took about 2 and a half months to see the full result and the price.

I don't understand all the bad reviews. I am 23 years of age and have had acne since I was 13. I began using Proactive when I was 21 and I haven't looked back since. Although when it did clear my skin up i got light spots in the areas where my acne was the worse (I'm black). But using the refining mask cleared that up as well. I just don't understand, this is the best product I've ever used. I even used to go to a dermatologist who prescribed me Retin-A, which didn't do anything for me. I guess different medications work for each individual.

Pros:

it smells good, doesn't cost too much, bottles aren't ugly looking, the cleanser has a good balance of exfoliants and creaminess to it, the lotion isn't greasy at all and it feels great on your skin

Cons:

sometimes the toner burns a teeny bit afterwards but as soon as you put the repair lotion on the burning goes away instantly, have to keep using it or else you'll break out again once you stop

It works pretty well. If you skip a couple of days of using it you might break out but not horribly. I used to break out from playing sports and ever since i started using proactiv i haven't had a problem with playing sports. it's great...i would personally advise people to use this. Only problem is that it has benzoyl peroxide in it ... although i'm not allergic to benzoyl peroxide some people are....maybe there should be a salicylic acid version of proactiv?

Pros:

it cleared my discoloration and uneven skin tone
it also made my skin more firm

Cons:

there are still some zits

it improved my skin but the acne is not completely gone

Pros:

when i do break out the zits are much much smaller. my pores got smaller and my redness has subdued

Cons:

if i missed a day or a treatment i broke out. it smells a little weird. doesnt remove makeup.

i am really fair and my skin gets redness around my mouth making me look like i have a mustache. proactiv greeeatly reduced this redness. also, my skin feels smoother because my pores have noticeably shrunken. my skin used to be really dry, really splotchy,and i used to have big big pores around my nose. also: your skin WILL get worse whenyou first begin treatment. they KEY is to NOT PICK or POP or TOUCH your face. if you stick it out, the medication will clear what has come to the surface and then shrink your pores.

Pros:

It helps get rid of blemishes and keep most from coming back, it does what it says

Cons:

it dries out your skin in some areas around your face, but thats about it

I brought my own oil-free moisturiser to put on after doing the 3 step process and my skin is fine now! i guess that it just depends on the persons skin type and background with acne etc!

Pros:

Does not irritate my skin; no odour, easy to use. I can pick it up at the mall.

Cons:

Not working well. It improved my skin, but I still break out. It doesn't hydrate enough in the winter.

Pros:

I had been using Proactiv for 2 yrs. It worked at first......

Cons:

Isuppose my skin got so immuned to the product that it just didn't work for me anymore

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE!!! IT IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME & MONEY..I USED THE PRODUCT FOR 2 YRS., IT WORKED FOR THE FIRST SIX MONTHS BUT STILL DID'T SEE THE RESULTS I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING.. SO I GUESS YOU CAN SAY I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. ANYONE WITH ACNE I BEG YOU TO PLEASE GO AND SEE A DERMATOLOGIST BEFORE INVESTING INTO SOMETHING LIKE THIS. MY DOCTOR EVEN SAYS IT'S BULL SH-T IN SO MANY WORDS, BUT WAS NOT AT ALL SUPRISED ABOUT WHAT I WAS TELING HIM ABOUT THIS PRODUCT..HE SAID I WAS LIKE SO MANY OTHER DISAPPOINTED FANS..AND TO JOIN THE REST OF THE DISAPPOINTED FANS FOR THIS PRODUCT CALLED PROACTIV!!!!! SOME PRODUCT HUH...
