Pros:

cleanser has the beads that exfoliate
toner is nice, you can see the dirt coming off your face

Cons:

worked only for a while for me

I had mild acne with a few zits here and there before i used proactiv.I used proactiv for about 2 years. The first year worked wonders and I rarely got zits. Then in the 2nd year it seemed to stop working. I am on the regimen right now and it's great, my face is clear after a month. I would only use proactiv once a day so it would last a long time, maybe a year for a 2 month supply which was good. I also use the regimen once a day and it lasts about the same.

Pros:

It really helped with my acne. I recieve compliments all the time, especially from people who have seen the before and after.

Cons:

I learned real fast that for me 3x a day was way to much, it dried my skin out really bad. I could hardly move my face without feeling uncomfortable and also I had some red patches with the dryness. you can not use it one day and stop the next.

Proactive worked for me when I used it once in the morning and once before bed. It did take a little while for me to figure out how many times a day to use it. You can not use it too much if you have sensitive skin like I do, but enough so you do see a difference. I had a good experience with this product, especially compared to a lot of other acne products.

Pros:

It works well if you use it twice a day, everday. It makes my skin feel relatively smooth.

Cons:

If I skip one use then I usually breakout. After a few hours my skin will become oily again.

If you can use it day and knight, everyday then It would probably work for you. If your bad at keeping up with stuff like that then you might not want to try it.

Pros:

It works great.

Cons:

have to really be consistant using every morning and night

This product works great for me. Maybe the reason there are so many complaints regarding red and itchy and burnt skin is that the regular formula is too harsh for their skin. I too had the same problem and tried their sensitive formula. You have to order by phone. This works just as well and I have not had any problems with red, itchy, and burnt skin since.

Pros:

inno why everyone is s negatve, ivehad horrble acne for years, since i was real litte. had scars that would never go away and after using proactiv for only 1 week was skin as better than it was in years. everyone noticed a difference

Cons:

litte time consuming but nothing too ad

Pros:

It starts working immediatly. The cleanser also works well as a body wash (for bacne!)

Cons:

Sometimes drying. If I skip a day, I start to break out. It also doesn't stop acne showing up when I'm on my period.

I randomly started getting bad acne when I was about 19 years old. After about 8 months of using proactive, my acne was pretty much GONE. i was able to go out in public without wearing make-up! In the proactive brochure, it states that there is no cure for acne, only treatments. This is very true in the case of proactive-i think that i may have to use it for the rest of my life.

Pros:

it helped a little, does not irritate skin, feels nice on, smells kind of nice.

Cons:

SO many steps, doesnt get rid of all acne, once i got rid of it i REALLY broke out. so i suggest u dont use it.

just stay away...why use it to find out it doesnt work well and then brake out because the product you used that didnt work...caused you to break out..

Pros:

- cleared up my acne in almost 3 weeks
- i have combination skin and it worked well for me.
- pretty much affordable

Cons:

- the scent is a little bad, it takes getting used to
- causes my overall skin to look red
- the scars are there, redder than ever, it actually looks like pimples. but it's not.

proactiv works if you give it a little time, generally here in the caribbean the climate is hot so the bp in the product tends to irritate skin during the day. I've used at least 10 acne products, including differen, murad, clear active, clean and clear, neutrogena, diane 35, atibiotics, clearasil. and proactiv is the only thing that agrees with my skin, the sking lightening lotion SUCKS. and my marks are still there, but i cover that up with makeup , i'm just glad the bumps aren't there. if there's something that works just as well to get rid of the bumps but with less redness for more or less the same price, let me know!

Pros:

Three step method is easy to follow and readily available. Cleared up painful adult acne relatively fast.

Cons:

I am more prone to white heads and deep, deep pimples.

I will continue to use it. I have used the system for about a year and a half and I like it well enough.

Pros:

never get cystic pimples, evens skin color, reduces pimples

Cons:

if you miss a treatment=breakout,causes odd little bumps

Is a good product, but if you miss a treatment face will start breaking out. You must stay consistant with it.
