Pros:

Easy Routine To Follow
Non-Chemical Smell
Offers Some Exfoliation
Great/Gentle Toner

Cons:

Not effective for severe acne
Does not help fade post-acne marks
"Cult-like" Marketing
Expensive

Basically-this product is no better than what you can now find in Wal-greens/Wal-Mart (pretty much any department store these days) for mild acne. It's gentle, and would probably work for a person with sensitive skin who has very mild acne/blemishes.

Pros:

- It's kind of fun to go through a whole system

Cons:

- Gritty
- The cleanser hurts
- Smells like sweat and Mr. Clean
- Expensive
- Tiny bottle of BP
- Makes face really red
- Doesn't work

I got my proactiv kit from my mom, who bought it for me after my dermatologist was taking weeks to respond to my referral. I was skeptical, but since she already bought it and promised that it would work, I figured I had nothing to lose. The commercial advertises proactiv as being "creamy, gentle, and effective," but the truth is, it is none of the above. The cleanser is watery and gritty, almost like they filled it with sand. One the product dried out my face, the harshness caused bleeding and incredible irritation and pain, not to mention making my face look red and inflammed right before I had to go to school. It enrages me that proactiv has managed to convince the world that it is effective in clearing all kinds of acne, since it did absolutely nothing but make me feel hopeless about my acne. I wouldn't say it made my acne worse, but it's ineffectiveness did drive me to spam my dermatologist with e-mails requesting accutane.

Pros:

1) Dark Spot Corrector Worked Extremely Well
2) The Basic "3 Step System" Cleared Skin Faster Than Expected
3) The Advanced Blemish Treatment Cleared Some Acne Spots Within Hours

Cons:

Irritates Sensitive Skin
Toner Made Skin Itch
Pricey$$$

Although the price is quite higher than other acne medications, I think it's worth the price. I had acne scars on my chin and after roughly a week of using the "dark spot corrector" with the 3 step system majority of them were gone. Yet I don't think this is right for people with "SEVER" acne from what I've read in the previous reviews. But for someone whos gets 2 or 3 small pimples a day it worked great! -Hope this helps!

Pros:

Does help clear for some time. Leaves skin soft. The mask that comes with it minimized my pores.

Cons:

It leaves skin uber dry

Makes it really red

Burning sensation all over face

Created cystic acne

WAY too expensive for such teeny bottles

The polyethylene beads were far too rough

I didn't feel like my skin was truly clean

VERY bad customer service

I have been using it for quite a while, and I did see SOME results. The bumps on my forehead and chin were nearly gone. HOWEVER, it left my skin feeling burned, red (my cheeks looked like cherry tomatoes) I had to stop it for a little bit because I had gotten a mild cold sore around my mouth (painful and icky) and when I went back on it my face COMPLETELY broke out again. I got the bumps back on my chin and forehead AND I started to get cystic acne on my chin area (which I had NEVER EVER had in my all of my 18 years of living!). In addition, my cold sore acted up again after it was almost completely gone. The bottles (cleanser and toner) were the size of a finger and a half (index) and the treatment was the size of my finger. The toner (which is completely unnecessary for acne) burned up my skin. I'm never going back to it. They just sent me another one today, took $30 from my account, and I had no idea you had to cancel. I hate them very much. NEVER AGAIN. It may work for some, but sadly I am not one of them. However, the refining mask I did like. It minimized pores. But that's all.

Pros:

expensive

Cons:

Proactive is a rip off and a devious company that will sign you up for a subscription without your consent.

Don't buy from proacitive's website. They have vending machines in malls so you don't get signed up without your consent for a subscription that is $30/month. Heed my warning don't buy from [link removed]

Pros:

it does work it cleared up acne within days and it made my skin glow

Cons:

price and customer service

the customer service is horrible when the girl asked me did i want to upgrade my order to 3 months she didn't tell me that the price would increase so that pissed me off when i called to cancel my automatic shipping and they didn't even tell me what days it would be drafted out of my account so i just canceled the account and i called CS and they did not help me out at all really and told me i would have to pay the remaining balance when i had no knowledge of the price increase so for now on i will just travel to a kiosk to get my product because it is a great product and it has been much success for me

Pros:

-Did relieve my acne,

Cons:

- Takes a while to actually start working
- Can irritate skin a LOT (very drying, can sting, can make your face burn, causes redness, etc)
- Don't get it on your eyebrows, it will bleach them
- Very small bottles
- You must continue to use it EVERY day, or else the effectiveness will wear off

I think the price you pay for this is far too high, especially considering the fact that the amount you get is so small. I honestly thought Proactiv saved my life for the first 6 months-1 year, but after that it started to have the side effects mentioned in Cons, and I think in the end it did more harm than good. It does work, but what you have to pay (money and side effects) doesn't seem worth it.
