Pros:

your getting a product w/ right percentage of benzoyl. it works also as a scrub. convienent

Cons:

its costly. you need an additional moisturizer. i dont feel this is an everday product. its in addition

if you have trouble sticking to a regimen (young) and need your bath products shipped. then yes. its too costly and dosent work for everyone. common sense rules apply. in the 8 years i've used Pro-activ it was never my main product used in my face regimen

Pros:

Clears marks over time
Skin noticeably clear after 3 weeks

Cons:

Bleached my skin to the max, i had a white face, i'm black.
Expensive
Customer Service is ridiculous
Doesn't get rid of all pimples.

Once you start using it there's no going back, you have to be persistant and once you stop using, expect your skin to get 10 times as bad as before. Bleaches skin, and does a bad job of getting rid of pimples.

Pros:

-gentle exfoliating beads (you must be EXTREMELY light handed though)
-skin brightening
-noticably minimized pores after about 2-3 weeks
- i used to have disgustingly oily skin all over and now it's mostly in my "T - zone" and is still significantly less oily
- easy 1, 2, and 3 steps
- i still have acne but it's mostly scarring and usually have no more than 5 pimples at a time.

Cons:

-bad customer service
-scented (and not very nicely scented)
-extremely drying (my face flakes when not moisturized thoroughly)
-takes some time to complete
-if you have newly popped pimples the toner will sting a bit.
-takes a long time to see results.
- expensive

About 6 months ago my skin hit rock bottom and so did my confidence. I had new pimples on my face everyday (whiteheads and painful cystic acne as well). I honestly went through about 15 different brands of different cleansers/spot treatments/moisturizers in 2012. some were more expensive and some weren't but none of them worked. I tried drinking only water for months and eating healthy, tried natural AND more chemically products but never saw results. I first tried Proactiv when i was 15 and it didnt do much for my acne and was very expensive and customer service is so frustrating to deal with, i too had the same problem with them sending me 3 packages and having a hard time to cancel. But I decided to give it just one more try (im now about to be 20) since I couldn't think of anything else to do and i'm so happy I did. I get it off Amazon though so i dont deal with the company. Proactiv has started working for me this time around however its a slow process and i didnt see results until after a month. I was scared about using exfoliating beads on my face but you just have to be extremely careful to not pop any pimples on accident. I also use a LOT of the treatment lotion and the refining mask works well (i put a lot on every night) because i found that the mint mask i used to use works better on my cystic acne blemishes and is too harsh for clusters of whites heads (it'll harden and i have to scrape it off = popped pimples). My skin gets flaky sometimes but i'd rather deal with that then cry everytime i go out without make up on because i feel like people are staring at me. My acne made me so self conscious i didn't go to college for 2 semesters and dreaded going to work and this was the last attempt before going on Accutane. I'd say its worth a shot even though its expensive and takes a long time to do in the morning/night. But if you're acne is as severe as mine was then at this point the cost or effort doesn't matter i'll do anything.

Pros:

great customer service
easy use
works the first time

Cons:

burns
stops working if you take a break
makes acne worse the second time around
expensive
time consuming

Proactiv worked wonders for me the first time I used it for light/moderate acne, but once I took a break to give my skin some recovery time and then began using Proactiv again, it broke me out horribly, and they changed the formula! Instead of the classic cleanser, they added some scrubbing beads that couldn't possibly be good for your skin twice a day everyday. I would say unless you have light acne and plan on using proactiv for the rest of your life, don't waste your time!

Pros:

Cleared skin for a while

Cons:

Skin gets addicted

It is not for all skin types. Recomend it for light and moderate acne. Not for very light or severe.

Pros:

made my face really smooth
tingle
controlled my pores

Cons:

made me break out even more
more redness
increase in white heads
very expensive

i saw a ad on t.v thinking it would work with my acne prone skin. Ive tried other products and nothing works. When i ordered proactive it was $20. the next 4 months it went up in price. it worked but it was super sensitive with my skin.I thought it would make my acne would be gone but the next day i would even break out even more

Pros:

Makes face soft, less oily, and keeps ance down abit.

Cons:

Doesn't really work like it says it does in the commercials. Doesn't get the head out of all the bumps, just the small ones.

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with bad ance and very sensitive skin. It only got to the small bumps on my face, kept it soft, and sort of clear. It didn't do what I thought it would do in about 5 weeks like, get to all my deep black heads and make my face super clear, lol.

Pros:

-Leaves skin felling soft and clean
-Clears pipmples

Cons:

-Can dry and irritate skin
-Can cause more breakoutss
-Bleaches towels

At first, Proactiv really worked for me. Within three days, I saw an improvement. But after about two months, my skin was immune to the system. Then, I alternated the Proactiv cleanser at night and a Neutrogena cleanser in the morning. Plus, I do not use the third step (it really dries my skin) or the toner (it is useless). Instead, I used two prescription creams to zap zits. Bottom line, Proactiv works if you balance it with other products.
