Pros:

None.

Cons:

The cleanser is very gritty, the toner stings, and it only made my face worse and worse.

When you see the commercial, you may think "Hey, the stars like Jessica Simpson are using it, why shouldn't I?" Well, the truth is, the stars like Jessica don't use it. Jessica reported on being on Accutane before starting the infomercialls. Two, think about it: Do you honestly think these famous, enormously rich people actually take the 10 minutes every morning to put it on? I thought so. Anyways, the product didn't help me get clear. At all. It made GIGANTIC pimples on my forehead which left big red marks. Thankfully, after three months, they faded away. The embarrasing red marks that were left on my nose, are still not fully gone. Thankfully, I am clear now, aside from the redmarks, thanks to a product called AcneFree. So, bottom line, DO NOT BUY PROACTIV! It is a SCAM! An overpriced scam. Really, they sell their sunscreen for $25.00. -.-

Pros:

It makes your skin look and feel really nice even if you don't have acne.

Cons:

Anybody that paid more than forty-bucks for this stuff is a moron.

I work for Guthy-Renker. I can tell you right now that it has approximately a 97% success rate. So if it doesn't work you're not using it right. I don't really have, nor have I ever really had what you would call "acne" on rare occasions one or two small pimples will show up after I shave. Ya' know those little ones that you just squeeze out a little white stuff and wipe it off and it's gone? Anyways, I used Proactiv just to be able to say that 'I'd tried it.' I gotta' tell you though. It made my skin look awesome. I just started it in the shower and did the toner after. Then I let it dry while I got dressed and brushed my teeth. Then I did the lotion and left. Holy Cow! My skin looked awesome man. So I got other people using it and their's looked good too. So anyways I think it works. Especially since seeing some of the people that work here who've used it. I don't use this product anymore personally, but I see people that do everyday and I think it

Pros:

Works at first.

Cons:

You break out more after discontinuing use than you EVER did before you used it.

I started using Proactiv a few years ago. Initially it worked, but due to the price and the weird-sized bottles (one runs out, the other is new) I stopped using it on and off. I've now found that, after not using it, I get large, cyst-like acne on my chin rather than the regular pimples I used to have. I can't say without a doubt that this is because of the Proactiv, but I can say that it usually happens this way after I stop using the product. It's worse this time than it's ever been, I would NOT recommend this product.

Pros:

It smoothes out skin; less acne forms than before.

Cons:

Oily skin didn't change even with the Daily Oil Control.

In my opinion, the product is recommended for people with minimal/normal acne, NOT for severe cases.

Pros:

I have adult acne and it has helped. Not the way I'd like it to. (I want this completely gone)

Cons:

It will dry out your skin. What I did was keep to the face cleanser twice a day and only use the toner and lotion in the morning. Seems to have made things better

Bottom Line- This will not work for everyone. Has worked better than anything else I have tried to this point. Some people are paying way to much. go to [link removed] they have a 30 day trial for $19.99.

Pros:

has a step by step program; the smell

Cons:

the price; doesn't really help

I've been using it for a while now and haven't seen a difference. I only use it once a day but I haven't even seen a slight difference except it makes my skin MUCH oilier.

Alright...

Pros:

Green Tea Moisturizer
Sulfur Mask

Cons:

Burns
Leaves skin dry and tight
Expensive

I first used this when I was in 5th grade. It was alright, I didn't notice any improvement. I used up the whole kit and stopped because it didn't work. I decided to try it again in 7th grade, thinking maybe I was using it wrong before. NOPE. My skin acted horribly to this. It was red, shiny, and felt super tight. I quit using it right away. The only products I actually liked was the sulfur mask and the green tea moisturizer. That's why I am giving it 3 stars. Other than that, Proactiv is really not a good product. I mean, even in their commercials, the people they show have like 3 zits. 3. LITTLE. ZITS. Not good advertizing. And it's on ALL the time. Even on the radio. The price is also horrible. They charged me for an order I didn't even want. I used it any thinking it would help if I used it longer. Boy, was I wrong. Again. I would pass up this product.

Pros:

Clearer and softer skin
Cleared skin in 2 weeks
Variety of products

Cons:

Repeating steps twice a day
Expensive
Subscription is necessary
Website - hard to handle

Overall I'm very satisfied with the product, although I wish they had bigger sizes so I wouldn't have to order every 2 months. However, it's just a bit too expensive and I don't like accessing their website. I feel there is too many obstacles to go around before you actually find what you want. I don't like that you have to be a member to get a "discount."

Pros:

helped acne a little. face cleared up some

Cons:

dried skin out
didn't clear up all of skin
did nothing on blackheads
a hassle to do all three steps twice a day

i recommend it if you have light acne, but if moderate or worse don't get it. it will help a little bit but not enough.
