Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

-Makes acne worse
-EXPENSIVE
-Near impossible to cancel

When I began using this I had very light acne ONLY on my forehead, the rest of my face was completely clear. After a week of using it my ENTIRE face was breaking out, cheeks, chin, nose, and especially forehead. It also gave me terrible cystic acne (something I've never had prior) I've been off the regimine for a year and am still trying to get rid of the scars it gave me. DO NOT BUY.

Pros:

Non.

Cons:

Severly harsh on your skin.
After a couple of weeks of use, my skin was getting more and more cystic pimples.
After I have stopped, my face got plaqued with severe cystic acne all over my skin which I really struggled with. After I stopped using it my acne slowly cleared up.

NEVER USE IT. IT'S SO BAD FOR YOUR SKIN.

NEVER USE IT. THEY MAKE IT SEEM LIKE IT'S THE SAVING GRACE FOR ACNE WITH ALL THOSE CELEBRITIES BUT IT'S ACTUALLY POISON FOR SKIN. I learned this the hard way so please don't go through what I did by purchasing this product.

Pros:

Scam!!!

Cons:

Doesn't work

They never tell you that you are going to continue to be charged weather you like the product or not. $30 just randomly out of my account with me having no idea how they can even do that. Don't purchase.

Pros:

This product has worked the best out of every other product ive tried. I started breaking out so bad that i would cry all the time and avoid any social events i was invited to. I even had to take oral pain killers for the throbbing zits on my face. Since starting proactive, the current zits dried up even after the first application and my pores arent even noticable like before they looked like oily black holes all over my face.

Cons:

This product works best on skin that is severly affected by acne and uncontrolable oily skin. With that being said you will still need a daily moisterizer because the product will dry the hell out of your skin. I can defiantly agree with the other reviewers and say DO NOT order this product on the proactive webstite. There auto delivery is a bi to cancel and the customer service sucks! Instead, order from QVC..larger quanity for your money and there auto delivery is optional not automactic.

I would rather have alittle dry skin that i can add lotion too, then oily scaring zits that cause me to never want to leave the house. I hope this helps. Its too bad some people dont have a good experience with it but you wont know unless you try.

Cons:

Proactiv is a scam!

Do not order it. They take $30 out of my bank account every month even after I canceled it. I just got off the phone with them again. Ordering Proactive is the biggest mistake I have ever made!

Pros:

None

Cons:

Causes severe irritation
Hard to cancel
I think this is a scam

When I used the products as instructed, my face swelled into an itchy red blob. It looked and felt like I had poison ivy on my entire face. When I cut back and only used one or two of the products at a time, there was absolutely no effect on my skin - I still had breakouts frequently. But the worst part of ProActiv is that it is very difficult to cancel your account. You cannot cancel online. I cancelled my account by phone today after discovering I "owe" them $100 on a shipment that is currently in the mail. At what point did I tell them I wanted $100 worth of product? NEVER. I will return the shipment (at my own expense, no less), and they told me they will refund all but $10 in shipping fees (which I feel I shouldn't owe because I wasn't notified of this shipment in advance or given the option to cancel prior to shipment), so this *cancellation* is costing me $20 at this point. I am very concerned that they will neglect to refund me. They told me not to expect my refund for 4 to 6 weeks. I own a small business and I can process credit card refunds instantly, so this delay doesn't make any sense at all to me. Stay far, far, far away from this. Even if it was an effective product, it isn't worth participating in this scam. I think they very much rely on people forgetting about shipments and neglecting to read credit card statements.

Pros:

I am 53 and suffered from acne all my life. Proactive has worked best for me when I use it regularly and I've tried it all.

Cons:

Years ago I ordered the system and had to sign up for regular shipments and found it to be too much, too often. Now I can get what I want when I want at a keosk in the mall.

Worth the money when I use regularly. Clears the many hair bumps under my chin. I've even had bumps disappear overnight after using the repair lotion.

Pros:

There are people to talk to 24/7

Cons:

Do NOT buy this product. It might sound great with all the reviews and pros, but they put that out there so you will buy it. There is no contract saying you have to pay for the full amount, but they are trying to make me ( a 17 year old girl) pay for the product even though I want to cancel. You do not get a 60 day money back gaurente. I have not gotten my product and it was sent out on the 12th well today is the 27th, but they are still making me pay $30 for a product i have not gotten.

All they care about is getting your money. The customer service line wouldn't even give me my money back. The cancelation requires you to pay 3 months even if the month has not come yet, and you will not get that product even when you are paying it. IT IS A SCAM.

Pros:

Effective
Minimal irritation

Cons:

Poor customer service--can be inconvenient to cancel or buy less frequently
Time-consuming routine, since there are 3 parts

I've had acne-prone skin for 10 years. It started when I was 12, and I'm now 22. I now use proactive and spironolactone. I've tried each on its own, but I have to use both together to get great results. I have moderate acne when I'm not using those products, and basically no acne when I'm using both. I started using Proactive three years ago. I had been on spironolactone for several months when I started proactive, but I still had acne. Proactive cleared my skin quickly with little irritation. I've tried to switch to other products twice to save money and time. Both times my acne returned, and I decided it was worth the trouble. Here's some more info about me, so you can decide how relevant this review is to you: Combination/oily skin Breakouts coincide with monthly cycle Medium skin sensitivity Have also tried: antibiotics, retinoids, clinique 3-piece system, oxy brand products, prescription benzoyl peroxide products. The antibiotics worked fairly well, but I built a resistance over time. The rest helped some, but not enough. Acne type: Papules, whiteheads, occasional cysts, on forehead and chin especially Severity: Has varied from moderately severe to light while using other products. When using proactive and spiro together, my skin is clear. Other helpful stuff: Exercising (reduces stress and gets blood flow to your face), cutting nails super short (keeps you from picking), staying hydrated, keeping your pillow case and makeup brushes clean

Cons:

Dries skin
Irritates
Horrid customer service
Almost impossible to cancel subscription

Do not under any circumstances buy this crap!! This is a complete scam by proactive and they should be ashamed! Their garbage doesn't work and when you try to cancel they put you on hold, tell you that it's cancelled and in 3 weeks send you another package while charging you. They're a mess stay far far away from these excuses of human beings that created this ponzy scheme while ripping people off!
