Pros:

None

Cons:

expensive and ineffective. if anything, my breakouts got worse.

Proactive is a waste of money. It did nothing to improve my skin. All I got out of it was bleached pillow cases. Honestly, don't waste your time and money on this scam.

Pros:

When I first started using the 3 produts I saw some results. Then later I bought the 5 step product-for oily skin and again I noticed alittle more results than with just the 3step products.

Cons:

After using the product for awhile I have not seen any further improvements infact I notice that I have alot of little bumps on my forhead.

If you see improvements and it helps calm down your acne then stay with it. But for me I feel like I'm back where I started at starting from scratch.

Pros:

i saw it on tv.

Cons:

leaves my skin burning, and red. works at first but then stops

This is not worth the money or the time. you use it for a couple of weeks and makes your acne go away, but after that it irrates my skin and makes me break out more. If you forget to use it then it messes your skin up. Dont buy it, the tv lies, you dont actually know if there skin actually looks like that!!!

Pros:

Works at first

Cons:

Made my skin very oily and pores look larger

At first it was great, then my skin got very very dry, after taking a break a tried it again, and seemed to clear acne for the most part, but when i would get a pimple, it would be big, painful and under the skin, worse then I ever had before. It then made my face oily and pores look so much larger. I would not recommend this to anyone, its a waste of money, and hope that your acne will clear up!

Pros:

Seemed to reduce single pimple size overnight, antibacterial treatment

Cons:

Dried out skin, created irritation (lots of little bumps that weren't acne--which subsided when I stopped use, but left a million blackheads and open pores instead), not good for sensitive skin

I used this when a friend recommended it to me and let me have a box of hers. I used it all over my face for a few weeks, which got rid of the redness, but made a more stubborn problem for me. Instead of having big red zits, my face broke out in tons of milia and uninflamed irritation. So I switched to using this as an overnight spot treatment on my forehead and chin, and my face still broke out for months. When I stopped using it and switched to Cetaphil, my face stopped breaking out, but now I'm left with many red marks and dry skin. My acne's very mild to begin with but I have access to Retin-A Micro and YAZ, and I'm horrified to try either after reading many reviews, so I'm opting for some jojoba oil and seeing how that goes. If anyone has any other recommendations for scarring and some occasional hormonal acne, it would be much appreciated! But don't even touch proactive if your acne's not severe!

Pros:

works well for a few months

Cons:

after about 6 months my face turned into a war zone!

OMG...I have minor to mediocre acne, and for the first few months using proactive I had the clearest skin. It was a gradual process but definitely worked in the beginning. Then I was out of state and didn't use the product for about a month and when I returned to use, the biggest pimples that I ever saw on anybody's face started to appear everwhere. There would be a new extra large pimple everyday. I thought maybe this will only happen the first couple weeks but after a month a threw proactive in the trash. Maybe you get immune to it after a while?? But everybody is different...

Pros:

worked well...for about a week

Cons:

expensive, inconvenient shipping scheduling (even if you change it), not a long term solution, eventually not effective, probably a scam

I am convinced that this product is a scam. It is overpriced, and it was very difficult to find information on how to cancel my membership. It was not effective. none of the products were right for me. the cleanser was textured and scented, which irritated my skin, and as for the toner and moisturizer, they were too medicated and worsened the condition of my skin by drying it out, burning it, and altering my pore sizes. I would not recommend this product to anyone. instead I would recommend seeking medical attention. it's cheaper too! the trip to my dermatologist: $20 prescription of tetracycline: $4 bottle of cetaphil cleanser: $6 =$30 and since you only go to the dermatologist every 6 months, the cost on other months is about $10. much more affordable than the $40/month for proactive

Pros:

None.

Cons:

I tried using this bc I thought it would make my little pimples on my forehead go away (I didn't have bad acne). Then after I started using it - I got pimples on my cheeks that never went away. I still have them three yrs later.

DO NOT USE. When I called Proactiv to return it - the operator said that the majority of the returns they get is what happened to me that acne gets worse and doesn't go away for years! I couldn't believe it. Im still in treatment bc Proactiv is the worst product ever!! Please don't use it!
